2017 Kia Cerato Review | CarTell.tv

New to CarTell.tv is Danni and she is reviewing the Kia Cerato Hatch in the S guise.The Cerato is Kia’s best selling car in Australia and one of the biggest contributors to that would be the price of the Kia Cerato when compared with its rivals like the Toyota Corolla, Hyundai i30, Mazda3 and Volkswagen Golf.
The engine in the new Cerato can be considered a little long in the tooth. It comes with a 2.0-litre dual VVT inline 4-cylinder engine with natural aspiration. The lack of a turbo gives only a 112 kW@6200 revs and 192 Nm@ 4000 revs.
For 2017 the Kia Cerato is available as both a hatch and a sedan.

Steel is one of the hardest alloys known to mankind ,that's not really a deal breaker when buying a car because the wheels are made out of a superhard material. Its cheap to produce and stronger than most other alloys used in modern wheels.

Come on, there's quality and then there's cost savings. If we were talking about an off road workhorse of a car, I'd agree with you guys, but this is intended to be a 'hip city car'. Why the hell would a Cerato need anything stronger than alloy wheels? And if it does need the steel ones, then why do they disappear as soon as you splash some more money on a higher trim level?
Cost savings, that's all.

It is interesting that this model is referred to as the Cerato S and is the base time level. When I usually see an S marque on a car model, it more then likely means is a "Sport Model." I guess in different countries, S is designated differently. Great review of the Kia Cerato CarTell.tv.
