I actually use Nature's Peace on my sorc as a switch ring. Aside from the obvious uses in Nihlathak, the ring is also nice when farming Baal to ensure the ancients he summons (and the ones that often hide in a corner somewhere) doesn't go and resurrect oblivion knights all over the place. Since I don't get that much value out of rings otherwise, this is pretty useful.
It's worth an okay price in trades, too, often going for Lem, because of the Nihlathak reason. Keys are in pretty high demand so being able to farm nihlathak without worrying about dying to corpse explosion is great.

Nature's Peace has one niche use in the form of Nihlatak key farming as he can't use his massively dangerous Corpse Explosion skill on mobs you kill due to the "Slain Monster RIP" effect.
Wisps Projector is a staple in Hardcore mode on spellcaster characters as it allows them to run Arach safely instead of having to rely on Tgods for lightning absorption (which is pretty much mandatory if you do Hell baal runs on HC).
I usually forget about that on nihlathak - for two reasons, I've been mostly SP for a while, and when I do farm him, it's with a necro or assassin usually, which doesn't need RIP since they have boom ;)
Nature's peace is really only useful for farming Nihlathak to shut down corpse explosion. The absorb rings can be useful for farming ubers mostly.
Natures peace is great for Farming Nilathak, pindle, and Baal. Corpse explosion, Returned, and Ancient Ones are annoying.
Generally I only use RIP for nihlithak oddly - and even then only with certain characters (I usually prefer my necro for him, which, can CE back :P - so RIP isn't super necessary )
@@Alzorath i have try Nil without RIP and with a pretty gg late game sorceress Ani, OTO, Soj, shako, arach, stars ring (CE is 50% of fire dmg so i try to absorb 😄) full res lot of small +20 vita AND 85 fire res with infernal boots, lvl 92, 3 CE and i almost die 🤣🤣

Raven Frost has always been my personal favourite and I'd go so far as to say that it is the best ring for melee characters. Cannot be frozen is just that good. 20% cold absorb is really nice too and I honestly think that the other absorb rings(Dwarf star and Wisp projector) are super underrated. On my Berserker that I use for magic finding, I have reasonably good fire resist on hell mode and with a Dwarf star equipped, the Council's hydras are virtually unable to damage me. Their damage becomes so negligible that I can completely ignore them.
I like keeping Wisp Projector on me in case I come across glooms/souls
@@RolomirFenrir It's so helpful for dealing with them. I've even equipped two in one situation where they were giving me a ton of trouble.
I have played Diablo 2 since launch and I have never seen a Stone of Jordan drop. I get Dwarf Stars and Ravenfrost constantly, but never a SoJ. I've never been happy.
I always used a wisp on my hdin cuz I would run baal. Even with max light res souls can get pretty nasty without it.
I also am a fan of manald even though it gets a lot of shade. Very solid ring for life/mana regen early on. Useful for both casters and melee characters. But it is very common, and while nagel ring is also common it can actually remain useful for high level mf chars; so that just leaves manald as the bearer of bad news when you id a unique ring, which is always an exciting drop.
For me, manald is the "rixot's keen" of rings - almost no one seems to use it, but by god is it useful throughout normal :)
The Bk ring is mostly used by melee characters and the soj is usually used in casters.
Low-Mana Casters can get away with BK for more durability at times, but yea, that is generally a bit more true (it's one reason why BK's value usually lags behind SoJ's - since there's often way better melee options)

If you don't have a Raven Frost Ring, you might as well forget playing in Nightmare or Hell Difficulty. Because your paythrough will go like this
1) Get Frozen and slowed;
2) Can't flee or fight monsters;
3) Die
4) Lose all gold and experience
5) Repeat until you Rage Quit and delete your character.
Cannot Be Frozen is an essential attribute for any high level difficulty.
Not really :/ Cannot Be Frozen is "nice, not necessary" (it is more important for physical attackers though), but it's by no means required to beat the game even in hell.
@@Alzorath well either way., Keep it. It will be good on both pvm and pvp. For pvm for melee class it good to mix both bk ring and raven frost ring. Best of both worlds. Not necessary but helpful for melee class

Running a dwarf + wisp combo on my hammerdin right now, farming Trav especially. Haven't died in a while ......

I find a rising sun invaluable when farming trav or chaos. That leaves open ring slots for mf on a hammerdin

Surprised you put Dwarf Star so low. It's a bit niche but it is generally a very good ring for a long time, and pretty common and easy to find, and useful for all classes for the life and fire absorb. I think it's a lot less niche than some of the rings you placed after it.
Its not a ranked list of worst to best, but rather clumped by frequency of usefulness
I've used nature's peace for nihlathak runs before; seemed easier to get than a Tyrael's Might
Game need to add 10 more rings and amulets, 6th act, 20 more weapons that can compete with runewords and I can play this game 20 more years.
I found a BK ring two days ago while farming Travincal. I think I hadn't even found a Manald to this point in D2R.:D Even perfect with 5% Life Leech.

I got two of those bagel rings within 30 mins of each other on the same character…. Gonna have to give one to my bowazon cuz I’ve been getting zero magic find gear for her
I still have 2 Nagelrings with imperfect stats cause I cant find SHIT. Ive been personally farming Andy in NM and cant find anything good to replace them nor do I have a good weapon so shit is slow. Running a FuryWolf for the 1st time for fun and it's kind of a hassle to do runs. I live forever but do like no damage cause IAS only works on my weapon in puppy form
So what the current price of the soj?

Andariel for a good number of them, Council is fairly decent as well - this is true of jewelry in general, though some do require higher monster levels to find (which I usually do Chaos Sanctuary for)

depends on which rings you're hunting... for example for SoJ, you do nightmare andariel because when it rolls unique, there's less bloat on the potential ring list, so you have a higher % chance of it being SoJ.

Then I'd just hunt nightmare andariel with decent MF - she drops a lot of jewelry - so it's a pretty solid chance.
Is there a recipe to upgrade rings with the Horadric cube?
And when turning 3 rings into an amulet, is the level of the amulet depending on the HIGHEST rign or the LOWEST ring used? And vice versa?
Not sure what you mean by upgrade (since rings don't really have tiers), rings pretty much can only be improved from magic to crafted unfortunately, otherwise they're not really able to be modded outside of maybe rerolling rare ones.
As far as the conversion of 3 magic rings to 1 amulet (and 3 magic amulets to 1 ring) - it's always 75% of the character's level that is doing the crafting (rounded down) - for example a level 40 character would get ilvl 30 rings/amulet from the formula.
@@Alzorath I meant that recipe with which you can upgrade magical items to rare ones, does one exist for rings and amulets as well?
However the "75% of level the character has" is already valuable info, i have heard that before but forgot about it.
You can upgrade magic ones to crafted (orange), but not rare (yellow)

depends on whether you want a blood ring, a safety ring, a caster ring, or a hit power ring - but it's pretty much just magic ring + specific perfect gem + random jewel + specific rune.
Got a wisp projector for my bowazon in the hopes that heart of the wolverine might be useful. Not so much

Gave dwarf star away after checking out this video and now I see high demand for them in trading lol rip.
They're used for pvp and farming places like travincal, as mentioned - if you are needing more of them, hell andariel shells them out pretty frequently.
I found about 30 uniques rings so far all but soj
statistically that's actually about right - especially if you've gotten your rings from hell - since SoJ, Bul Kathos, and Wisp Projector all have a weight of 1 (the lowest weight possible). So assuming you're farming from level 85 areas, that means there's a 1 in 59 chance for a unique ring to be a SoJ (if you're farming nightmare Andariel it's a 1 in 31 chance - which is why she's a key farming location in nightmare)

I just wish it was useful in more than literally just one area in the entire game :( (would definitely get more love from me if it prevented enemies like dolls from exploding)

It's rarely used because it's not best in slot for a lot of builds for general use. Or simply put: it is a niche use ring, not a broad use ring - with a slightly broader niche than nature's peace at least.
