- In todays video, I will show you how to use the ArmA 3 3den editor to make a multi-stage IED/RPG Ambush on a convoy. I reveal the methods to have the ambush start with either a RPG or a sneakily placed IED, and how to make hostiles come out of hiding and rush the players in the convoy. Its easy to follow along and is very effective at giving your friends trauma. (I know this from experience...)
from experience this works really well in Afghanistan based scenarios.

I use a couple of mods, mainly reduced-haze, blastcore, and I have increased the contrast in video settings.
@@TacticalWestOfficial thanks!, also everything works as intended, but when all the passengers dismount from the vehicle, the driver just keeps moving on and runs everyone over, is there a way to make the driver leae the vehicle to, or at least make the convoy stop when they get shot at
In the convoy settings you can set push through contact or dismount, also you can change the awareness of the drivers
Can I also set damage to 0 for the IED? Also thank you very much I was trying to make the uzbin valley ambush for my unit this helped a lot, the IED would be a cinematic thing that makes the ambush start

The waypoint trigger will not connect to the enemy fireteam. The enemy fireteam is the Altis Defense forces. Every time I try to click to set the waypoint to Alpha 1, it cancels out. I tried CSAT, nothing. Is there anything I could do?
Correct me if I am wrong, I presume you are talking about the waypoint synchronization trigger, make sure to select the actual move waypoint and not the fireteam group or individual unit.

Please help!!! How do I make the ai units in my convoy that is being attacked dismount the vehicles and protect the convoy when the ied goes off on the fist vehicle. Currently when the convoy is attacked I have a troop transport loaded with men that just sit in the truck even though they are being ambushed. I really only like playing by myself in custom missions. Any help is greatly appreciated love the videos!!! Please continue to make more 🎉

In the convoy module, there should be a setting to either push through contact or dismount, don't forget to have each vehicle in seperate groups otherwise the whole thing gots sideways.

Is there any way to make the ied knock out the car but not kill crew I’m tryna make a ambush ied and dismount mission
Im sure with some scripting it would be entirely possible, an easy way I would do it would be to make the crew immortal and then after the blast turn immortality off. (using triggers)

where did you get the taliban vehicles? I got the mod and I cant find them? I also cant find the pressure ied only the normal ones
Have a look in indep, opfor etc
@@TacticalWestOfficial when i look in opfor I only see the taliban tab I dont see the taliban insurgents tab like you do at 1:54. It might be a mod issue can you give me a complete list of mods that you used? Also your tutorial is very good and in depth, I wish the algo wouldn't screw you over :)
