      You guys shouldn't put your ads at the end of your videos. It's bad for your View Count, and the TH-cam algorithm specifically emphasizes Complete Views (views all the way through to stopping). Look at how your views drop off when the ad starts, and the low view count to subscriber ratio you have. You already have an ad at the beginning anyway, so you should def drop the end one if you want to benefit from the algorithm and get your channel out there more (which it should be, its awesome). There are some pretty straightforward, popular videos out there with helpful tips about increasing view count, and this is always one of them. So much so that when you notice it, you'll see in popular channels how suddenly their videos end - just to make sure they beat people jumping the gun to another video. Cheers.

    What a mesmerising property. I adore the focus on natural, organic light in addition to the differing elements of materiality.The sense of calmness and tranquility is marvellous.

    What is so beautiful about this home is that it feels like a refuge within an urban environment. Having grown up in a neighborhood in the USA no one had a fence so my preference has been to have a home without a fence or border wall. But what I have learned through watching g these Local Project presentations is that the fence provides the home owner with privacy and peaceful co-existence. Which is seen here because the entry area from the street with the garden and pool is such a calming influence. The seamless connection between the outdoor and indoor living spaces is wonderful. Beautiful home!

    I'd like to thank you for sharing this magical masterpiece with the world! It's breathtaking. Between the corkscrew, clothespin, natural elements, and textures, the words that pop into my mind are creativity, vibrance, and finesse! It's spectacular.

    The concrete poured into timber framework is beautiful. Such a wonderful way to achieve the feel and warmed of wood without cutting down trees. (Or as many of them? Assuming the wood is used multiple times..)

    • @OhMyLaurens
      @OhMyLaurens 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Wood is sustainable and pouring concrete is very bad for the environment... You have it switched around mate.
      You waste wood also, as the formwork (which is the frame you create to pour concrete in) has to be thrown out after a couple of uses.
      And don't quote me on this ,because I'm not sure, but I believe you need a softer wood to achieve the plank motif which would make it a one of 2 use-case material.
      All in all, looks very cool but not ecologically sustainable. If you're interested in truly climate friendlier options with a similar use case and pattern - look at rammed earth walls.

    Beautiful home , this will be our next home move , in uk 🇬🇧 what would be a costing on this property ?

    • @tdb7992
      @tdb7992 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The house is in an area of Melbourne called Toorak which is famously one of the most expensive suburbs in the nation. There are a lot of grand mansions built during the gold rush, hidden behind high walls in that area. The property cost would be millions alone and would make up, by far, the majority of the cost. If you built this in a much cheaper area, perhaps around a million dollars (the average cost of a home in both Sydney and Melbourne is over a million). It's common for people to build their own homes here, especially first time buyers like young couples.

  • @quinnmurph2750
    @quinnmurph2750 2 ปีที่แล้ว +10

    How does this one little country (population-wise) manage to have so many ultra-talented architects and clients with the taste level to hire them? I live in Canada (1.5x the population of Australia), and I'm not sure that we have 5 homes that would qualify for a Local Project. 😥

    • @cboy0394
      @cboy0394 2 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      The Local Project is an Australian publication so this is why you’re seeing a lot of Australian architects. If you look at Dwell (internationally focused) or a more Canadian centric architectural mag then you’ll see some really nice properties from some really talented Canadians.

    • @quinnmurph2750
      @quinnmurph2750 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@cboy0394 No shade, but Canadian projects in Dwell are decent but are never at the level of those on Local Project. Australia clearly has a superior design culture.

    • @tdb7992
      @tdb7992 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hmm, there are certainly aspects of Canadian design that I adore - but considering how terrible Canadian Masterchef is and their inability to ever match the aesthetics and originality you see in Australian Masterchef, well then, perhaps us Aussies just have a good sense of design. Either way, we love Canadians here so you'll have to come sometime for a vacation.
