Some pool tournaments you have to nominate pocket and ball so it rules out flukes. If any other ball gets potted or your nominated ball doesn't go into the nominated pocket a foul is called.
@@andrasszabo1570 So I'm only 2 years into getting into Snooker and not so much pool (hence why I'm at this channel). But I'm in the UK where I'm guessing the common format typicallyfound in pubs is English pool with the red and yellow balls. Literally never seen 9 Ball played anywhere near me
@@pkchris8211 Yeah, the UK might be the exception and China, both got their own cue sport. But anywhere else pool is the dominant cue sport and 9-ball is the most widely played format due to its simplicity. I've played pool all over Europe, but have rarely seen a table for any other cue sport.
nah you can pretty much do whatever you want with a push out, don't even have to hit a ball or hit the lowest numbered ball first. But your opponent can make you play again after it so you have to balance not making it easy for them whilst not making it so hard you wouldn't want to play it yourself
When I used to work night shifts I listen to Sportsbar on Talksport every Monday to Thursday 10pm to 1am. It was Andy Goldstein and Jason Cundy. The best duo on Talksport. But then Andy went to Drive with Darren Bent and Jamie O’Hara presents with Jason. The pairs don’t go well.
Pool, especially 9 ball is surprisingly very hard game. As soon as you bump into a player who really knows their way round a 9 ball table you are in big trouble. I used to be a really good club player, then one of the countries top 9 ball players came along to play an exhibition and he wiped the floor with me and everyone else at the club.
But that is the opponent who is difficult, not the game. Yes my money would always be on the top-notch 9-ball player to beat a top-notch snooker player at 9-ball, but the snooker player will not look out of place and will still be competitive, yet it is far less likely if you flip things. These two should do a long format of just playing and exchanging banter. How about sequentially best of 5 9-ball, Chinese 8-ball, Snooker and to top it off Three-cushion billiards first to 10 points (maybe have to workshop that last one to see how quickly these two can make points) all in a one day shoot.
If you want to make those corner pockets tighter (harder), at least round the cushions off! It's the cut of the corner pockets that makes potting easy, especially along the rail! You shouldn't be able to clip the rail a foot away from the pocket and still pot it! Oh, and don't get me started on the necessity of diamonds on a table or jump-shoting to eliminate snookers. Snooker or 8-ball (Blackball) is where it's at!
Been watching the channel for a good while now and love the content. And I have to say as much as it's primarily a snooker channel and I'm all about that. I'd love to see more pool on the channel as well, potentially getting a couple more pool pros involved?
Anyone can play pool a few times and completely clear the table at some point , you can play snooker for years ,still be a good player. and never clear the table .All forms of pool are easier than snooker ,but should we always compare pool to snooker ?As for 9 ball pool players back in the late 80s early 90s 9 ball player Jim rempie played snooker on the circuit and was pretty handy if I remember.
Love the channel. I'm a pool player in FL, I can play a little. I think snooker is the best game.... Maybe other than one pocket... It's close. I'd like to see Stephen play any semi pro on a 9ft. I mean if you're looking for content.... You'll get it lol. Gareth Potts was cool but that's like what, a 3rd of a snooker table? Doesn't relate to US. Doesn't have to be 9ball either. I don't think any snooker pro would beat any top one pocket player at one pocket.... Even though there so many similarities (except for banking/doubling). Also vice versa. Thaaaaaat would be an incredible video. Yeah. Snooker player vs one pocket player, fuck, do it on opposite tables. Live action 👌🍻 Yeah. Snooker player vs one pocket player. Never seen that video... No one has.🤷🍻👌
Also how about Peter Ebdon, I know he retired because of back or neck problems? But even a chat would be nice, especially since you said you believe he had the weirdest cue action.

So what we’ve found out is Andy is talk and can’t back it up in pool or snooker
When is Quinton Hann on
Love the channel. Live action 👌🍻
Yeah. Snooker player vs one pocket player. Never seen that video... No one has.🤷🍻👌
One pocket? I think that's a game for Americans only, the pocket is probably the size of the Grand canyon aswel knowing Americans😂
would love earl the pearl to be on!
Also how about Peter Ebdon, I know he retired because of back or neck problems? But even a chat would be nice, especially since you said you believe he had the weirdest cue action.
