It’s so cool how you have shared your journey of both miscarriage and having your son! you have told both the good and bad, which is something a lot of people don’t do!

You’re an earth angel. I’ve had four miscarriages and four healthy babies. My last “miscarriage” was a year ago. At 11 weeks, my doc discovered that the baby’s placenta has attached to my c-section scar and was about to rupture. I had to have an emergency hysterectomy. The anesthesiologist didn’t believe me. He said, “we don’t perform hysterectomies on pregnant women.” So I had to explain things that I didn’t understand myself. It was horrible. I love, so so much, what you said: tomorrow can be better, we just don’t know which tomorrow. That helped me a lot. I don’t have a uterus anymore, but I get to raise my four sweet kids- and I am beyond thankful for that!! ThankYou ThankYou sincerely for this tender video.

I want you to know that I have specifically prayed for you on both anniversaries, because I remembered the date. Losing a child or any loved one no matter how old they are is one of the hardest things if not the hardest thing in life. The emotions are complicated and hard to deal with. Thank you for sharing your story with us.

I truly appreciate you making this video. I had a miscarriage two months ago and it was very scary for me since it was my first pregnancy as well. I have experienced a wide mix of emotions that have been hard to deal with. Having a miscarriage as your first pregnancy is especially traumatizing since loss is all you know going forward with trying for a baby again.

I had a miscarriage at 13 weeks in September 2020 and it is the hardest and saddest thing I’ve ever gone through. I still cry and miss my baby so much! But now I’m pregnant again and just a few weeks away from my due date! But I’m still grieving my first baby and I know I always will. My heart is with anyone who has ever lost a baby 💕

I resonate so much with your experience. I just went through my 2nd and back to back miscarriage. July 12 & September 28. I am still struggling and trying to heal from loosing 2 precious babies. My 1st was a Chemical Pregnancy & the 2nd I was almost 8 weeks like you were. My baby stopped developing at 6 and a half weeks. I held them in my hand. My small baby. Thank you for sharing your words of wisdom and experience because talking and sharing and hearing has also helped me which is why I have tried to share my stories too. #healing

Thank you for acknowledging that your babies’ lives matter, no matter how long or short they may be. A girl who graduated from high school with me lost her two month old little boy around the end of last year. And although that’s been difficult and incredibly painful for her and her family, they still celebrate his life and acknowledge that it mattered. They actually just recently had a small birthday celebration at his grave side on what would’ve been his first birthday. Your babies’ lives mattered just as much as anyone else’s. 🤗 ❤️

Omg Christina I have never had such a close connection with you. I’ve been watching you and your sisters for maybe, I don’t know 5-6 years AT LEAST. I’m the oldest sister of four kid’s… not as many as you guys, but I’ve always felt so emotionally connected to you specifically. In many mature and communicative ways… I also just had my first baby. Also a boy. And THEN had a miscarriage after… so pretty recently. And I didn’t get to see or hold anything, but it was also incredibly traumatic. I’ve also been “dealing with it well”, but the fact that you got to hold yours and have that moment. I bawled. I had to pause your video cause it’s sucks I didn’t get that chance and I was so scared in the moment and had to go to ER and all this. I was only 10 weeks and had also only just found out there was no heartbeat or anything and this all happened the day after.
Anyway. This really struck a chord in me. *singing humor intended* I miss my baby a lot. So many people around me are getting pregnant or announcing they’re due the same time I would’ve been again. And I’m so grateful to have more time with my baby boy and I’m so happy… but it’s hard.

I never experienced a miscarriage before, but as someone who lost a lost of people in the last ten years, I think sometimes we hold our pain with both hands, because not doing so might look like we are not showing respect to the person we just lost. We don't want to feel like or think we are forgetting them, because that somehow would look disrespectful to them. We also fear we will be judged if we enjoy ourselves after we lost someone. One day I will look for a professional figure to learn how to heal, because right now I don't feel ready yet, but I came to the conclusion I don't care if it looks weird that I'm not crying wherever I go and I will not feel guilty for it. The fact that I'm not crying doesn't mean I'm not hurting, and if I laugh doesn't mean I forgot the people I lost. I have the right to live even if they can't be with me anymore, I have the right to go on with my life, which doesn't mean I'm forgetting them. I will never forget them, but I don't have to think about them every second of my life to prove I did love them or to prove I am a good person. I will remember them in my own way for the rest od my life.
Sorry for the long comment! Thank you for having opened up about such a personal topic! Sending you a big hug!

Thank you for being so open with your feelings. It’s very brave to talk about this online with strangers! I’m glad my community (or at least my circle) don’t stigmatize miscarriage. I know more women who have had them than those who haven’t! I can’t imagine having to suppress this experience which happens to so many couples. It’s also really interesting to hear about how your catholic faith shaped your experience and how you processed, etc. I don’t think I know anyone catholic so it’s very interesting to learn about how different faiths influence the way we all experience and cope with things.

It has truly helped so much to hear your story and see you with your beautiful baby boy. My fist miscarriage was at seven weeks in September of 2019 then a second at six weeks in January of 2020. I got pregnant again in June of 2020 and carried my precious “Jules” for 33 weeks. There was a cord accident, and we lost her in January of this year. When I noticed the lack of movement toward the middle of the day, I rushed to L&D and they monitored me for probably fifteen minutes, desperately trying to find her heartbeat, but they couldn’t. Then they put me on ultrasound and confirmed she was gone. I was admitted, and they induced me early the next morning. Birthing and holding our eight month old baby was the most painful yet somehow beautiful experience I have ever been through. I have been a mess pretty much this whole year and had a lot of these same thoughts. I beat myself up for not realizing just a little earlier that I hadn’t felt here move that day. Could I have saved her? My husband and I have found that talking about it, sharing our story, and listening to the similar stories of others has been tremendously helpful and healing for us as well. We are to the point where we want to try again. We both want so badly to have a child, but it is so unbelievably scary to face this journey yet again. We were so close, and what seemed to be a “sure thing” wasn’t. But our beautiful little girl will always be with us, and we will see her again. We are still her mama and daddy. My prayers are with you and your beautiful family, and I hope you continue to heal. Thank you so much for sharing your faith and strength.❤️

Thank you for sharing your story and how you cope with this. ❤️ I just went through a miscarriage 10 days ago and I’m finally starting to feel more like myself. I had just hit the 11 week mark when I started cramping and bleeding. 🥺 I didn’t know I could cry and be so scared and feel so heartbroken all at the same time as much as I did those first five days of miscarrying. I find peace that God knew there was something wrong with this pregnancy and that my body did what it needed to do to get ready for the next time. 🙏🏻

Thank you for sharing not only your experience, but your process and your feelings. It is not an easy thing to do, and I think we all really appreciate it. I also appreciate you mentioning Nick. Even if really different, miscarriage is also a very painful and traumatic experience for fathers, and their pain should also be talked about, they get even less compassion than mothers, sometimes they don’t even find compassion in the mother, her saying that that loss is only hers.
I also appreciate how you encourage people to talk about it. At least in the cultures I know, women are told to not announce a pregnancy until after the first trimester just in case is a miscarriage, but doing that you are robbing women from the support they would need if that happens. Sometimes they don’t even tell the father and they go through that completely alone.

I didn’t tell anybody not even my closest friends or family that I had gone through that and I wish I had that way I had support but I was scared of judgement in all honesty. I think that looking back, it's not that your body failed and you lost a child it seems more a learning experience like hey, now you know you have a clotting issue, so now you can watch and be proactive next time.
Your little Spero helped you know that, and prepare so you could be able to help have things work better and the doctors could then try and prevent that to a degree with Barrett.

I strongly agree with the phrase ‘see the good in everything’ there is always positives in every situation even when it feels like there isn’t. When I have hard times what works for me is I just make sure that I do everything I possibly can to keep me happy and let the rest happen even if I don’t know what is going on which is rllyfrustrating. Then I try and think what has made me feel bad/uncomfortable. Journaling is the best. This is seriously crazy. I also had a miscarriage with my first pregnancy in Oct 2019. Then I got pregnant 4 months later, and had my daughter in Nov 2020. It was so terrifying to go through pregnancy after that. Every day, I would look up the chances of miscarriage at that date, because i knew everyday I “held on” to that pregnancy, the better chance it would stick this time around.

Wow! Super Strong Video. And to anyone ging through a hard time right know: It will get better! maybe not tomorrow, maybe not next Werk, but hold on! And most importantly: there IS a reason, why this happens to you know. If you belive in god (like I do): he has a plan! Trust it! He will give you as much as you can handle, even if it pushes you to your Limits! And you are strenger than you think!

To everyone who belives in God and needs to Read this : in Germany there is a Story (I don't know if you know it in other languages as well): A man walks all his life with god through the Sand. At the End of his life, he looks back at their footprints in the sand. But at the hardest Times, he could only see only the footprints of one Person, so he asks god: "why did you leave me when I needed you most?" And god answers: "I never left you! Where you can see only the footprints of one Person, I carried you.
    I hope this helps someone!
All the Best to everyone here from germany
