I worked at Subway restaurants when I was a teen. It is hard to imagine how I would have felt and reacted if I later learned that during one of my work shifts that a customer had brought a dead child into the restaurant and then ate a sandwich I made for them while they sat with the dead child. Thankyou for your perspective Dr Grande. I watched the footage of Benson's Mum discovering him dead, the 911 call, the police body cam video & subsequent police interviews with her. I found it so harrowing. Your take on what could have been happening Dr Grande was good, it helped explain her behaviour & possible reasons for it. Thankyou.
2 months old. I can't even imagine the state of mind you'd have to be in to have homicidal rage toward someone so innocent and defenseless. People can be so monstrous.
This is sickening! Benson was so cute. This is very upsetting! Marissa laughed during the reenactment? What an evil woman. She had no business having children of her own let alone watching anyone else's. Parents need to be so careful when entrusting their children's care to babysitters.
Thank you Dr Grande, these stories are so difficult to hear as these women make my blood run cold, I couldn't even watch movie's if a child was hurt after having my first baby. My Mum was a troubled alcoholic and it NEVER made me anything but the total opposite as a mother.❤ This dear little baby 😢, I just can't get these awful monster's 😪🙏🇭🇲 Also, was truly lovely seeing you and your wife 💕
What do you think the chances are that a person such as Marissa would have the insight to seek out counseling to deal with her traumatic childhood and what messaging would actually reach her to get her to go into counseling? Where would she go for treatment? What kind of success rate can be expected? Or, does counseling/treatment typically come as a result of a criminal charge? I'm personally overwhelmed with the number of horrific murders happening in the world.
A couple weeks back, I watched Marissa's interrogation footage regarding this incident. It was akin to watching the police interrogate a toddler. Suffice it to say, it was extremely hard to watch. This woman has and/or had no business being near ANY children considering her mental capacity appears to be on par with a 4-year-old.
So... she's unfit to keep her own kids. However, people trust her to keep their children... Make it make sense, Dr. Grande.. What is wrong with people? Lordt...
I used to have a neighbor who has 8 kids at the age of 27 with 5 different fathers between them. Her first pregnancy occurred when she was 13 and she dropped out of school in 9th grade. She has no job and no driver's license, but she still has a car and drives it anyway. They live in a disgusting mobile home and her last ex-boyfriend is in jail for molesting her six year old daughter. Can we please start sterilizing these people? They only cause pain and chaos for everyone they come in contact with. Her kids will probably be just like she is too.
Do you mean the 13yo being sexually abused or the sexual abuser for sterilisation because it matters which one you think deserves to have their right to have kids taken away. Insane if you could possibly for a second consider the child who was repeatedly raped and impregnated.
@@clarkmay4819 maybe you could be a good neighbor, see a need, make SMALL changes in your everyday life to make a bigger impact and positive change to those around you. @ameliadeshane9192 I did try to help her out when I could. I helped her fix her porch, her shed door, and even offered to help her get her drivers license, but she didn't want to try. She would drive without a license with her kids in the back. I tried to give some good advice, but it never seemed to make a difference.
The body cam footage of the police talking to Marissa is absolutely stomach turning. She jokes and laughs... it's awful. That poor baby deserved so much better.
This is so heartbreaking and horrifying. This person carrying another child makes my skin crawl. She should never be anywhere near a child. Appreciate you doing a video on these subjects.
I think I’m most confused on why anyone would leave their child with someone who had kids of their own removed from their care. Yes, I realize sometimes there are not many options but ……. This seems outrageous.
Why is she smirking on her mugshot ?? Does she not understand that the murder part will put her in prison for a long time , in prison with hundreds of women that HATE baby killers. Or does she quite simply not care about it ? Great analysis from the good doctor Grande , thank you !
Boy oh boy,. As a parent of a larger than average family, it's astounding these serial abusers still try to use the "oh the kid fell off the chair, the couch, or down the stairs" excuse. Kids are pretty durable against normal knocks, bumps, and trips. Not so much when they are attacked by a maniac. More likely Benson was colicky, hungry, may have been fed something that upset his tummy, was uncomfortable, or just needed to be changed and the murder-sitter decided her previously well-established habit of beating children's heads would resolve the situation. And who allows a brain damaged woman, who lost custody of her own children, to become the neighborhood daycare?!? This whole story is a symphony of horrible decisions.
Dr. Grande I look forward to your content and value your opinion. I believe that you not only help viewers understand the psychological aspect of these crimes but the way you describe it is useful.

Wtf would the mom leave a 2 month old baby with a woman who'd lost custody of her kids for being negligent? Why? Seriously what the actual fuxk! She's just as guilty in my opinion.
Thank you so much for your analysis and insight on this case! I’d only heard of it a couple weeks ago and was completely shocked by this crime. I was going back and forth on whether she was intentionally murdering every child in her care or whether this was impulsive behavior r/t her own hx of abuse and cognitive disabilities (perhaps FASD- she does have some physical features indicative of FASD). Your analysis and the additional background information you provided clarified this issue and made sense of the events leading up to this horrific crime.
Why is someone with five children babysitting other kids? If you’re irresponsible enough to have five children that you cannot afford, you’re not responsible enough to take on any more children. I wouldn’t trust this one with my dog.

Thanks for consistently uploading Dr! You should look into doing a video on Debra Jeter. She took her two daughters to an abandoned house and cut their throats but one of them was still alive and begging for help so she called 911. The 911 call is insane.
I cannot overstate how genuinely creepy and unnerving it is watching the footage of her during her arrest and interrogation. Her presentation and affect, to get clinical, just lack any ability to conform to the situation around her
How dumb are the friends though? She's lost custody of 4 kids (that's an amazing, almost impossible feat for a woman), and injured every kid she's seen. What would make you let her watch your kid?
As an Abuse Victem myself i still can find no empathy for someone who continous the Circle of Abuse. I could never do to someone else what has been done to me and i can not understand how this is even possible. I still feel helpless, how can someone forgett this feeling and become the same that once broke them?
I just read an article written by a daycare owner/worker who said that she would not receive sleeping children into her care for reasons similar to this case. No matter how young the child is, no matter how early in the morning-the child must be awakened and observed before she signs them in for the day. I worked with a woman who was called during the day about her son and had to take him to the doctor only to find that his arm was broken. Thing is, she had already told me that he had cried all morning before he was dropped off and I think she was trying to pass the blame onto someone else.
A very concerning being, no matter what happened in your past there is no excuse for harming our innocent children, she seems very calculated and very aware of her actions, she’s disgusting😠 unfortunately the domino effect of her dysfunctional family, this is just so sad but there is no excuse for this…. @@LynnAgain83I was also lucky with my second son. He never had to go to daycare like my oldest. By the time he was born my mom was able to baby sit. 🙏🏽 and in the summer she watched my oldest also. She loved having them.
What a beautiful baby. Its tragic that all the adults around him were so unconcered about protecting his precious life.
He was so beautiful 😢❤
There are no words. Some people shouldn't be breathing air. Condolences to Benson's family.
Or reproducing...
Agree😩
That's for darn sure, they shouldn't! 😠
I dont care if she had a bad childhood, herself! Law abiding people need to be protected from people like that and heather should have rescued her children immediately! She was just as guilty!
Maybe if someone cares she was being abused as a child when she was a child and intervened then Benson would still be alive.
Imagine substance abuse common denominater amongst self absorbed peaple leading to peaple taking lives of other vulnerable peaple impulsive desires lead to destructive behavior victims ultimately of selfish desire to flee reality consume mind altering substances. Do drugs shake hands with the devil .
Heather was not guilty.
Me either. There is only so much society can be expected to forgive based on the perpetrator’s childhood. Either way she is a menace who shouldn’t be among us.
So many lives destroyed by this cold-hearted and callous woman, including her own children. Hopefully they are able to find loving homes.
She has 6 kids! Oh man.. I wonder what those kids have gone through..
these types always pop them out like rabbits. They are not thinking about whether they can provide for their children or care for them. The children are just an irritating means to an end.
Long time listener first time caller. LOVE THE SHOW!
We appreciate your analysis. Keep up the good work as always.
Completely agree with every word.
He was very beautiful 😍 poor baby boy
I know. So very sad. @@karinababy6557
Thank you Dr Grande, these stories are so difficult to hear as these women make my blood run cold, I couldn't even watch movie's if a child was hurt after having my first baby. My Mum was a troubled alcoholic and it NEVER made me anything but the total opposite as a mother.❤
This dear little baby 😢, I just can't get these awful monster's 😪🙏🇭🇲
Also, was truly lovely seeing you and your wife 💕
What do you think the chances are that a person such as Marissa would have the insight to seek out counseling to deal with her traumatic childhood and what messaging would actually reach her to get her to go into counseling? Where would she go for treatment? What kind of success rate can be expected? Or, does counseling/treatment typically come as a result of a criminal charge? I'm personally overwhelmed with the number of horrific murders happening in the world.
It’s very hard to hear stories of cruelty against children. This woman is a monster, so callousness has no bounds.
Great analysis, Dr. Grande.❤
Some of the videos with kids I gotta skip especially being a parent.
And she has five kids!!!!
People who harm kids, elderly or those who cannot defend themselves, should get the capital penalty.
WHY would a judge remove four children from her custody and leave one behind?
I bet you she had that child a county away and just never reported it to the current social worker.
Her kids were riding around in a car with a dead baby and didn’t even know it. That’s so creepy!
😢Rest in peace baby Benson. So sad .How can someone do this !!!
So... she's unfit to keep her own kids. However, people trust her to keep their children... Make it make sense, Dr. Grande.. What is wrong with people? Lordt...
This case is new to me. Thanks, Dr. Grande.
I can't even. I am crying and searching for answers. Why does stuff like this happen? It's so not fair.
Ok at some point the parents bear responsibility for not looking into the person they hire to babysit
Yes! Those men should be given vasectomies!
Do you mean the 13yo being sexually abused or the sexual abuser for sterilisation because it matters which one you think deserves to have their right to have kids taken away. Insane if you could possibly for a second consider the child who was repeatedly raped and impregnated.
@KayosHybrid We could do both and fix two problems! She had the majority of her kids as an adult.
@@clarkmay4819 maybe you could be a good neighbor, see a need, make SMALL changes in your everyday life to make a bigger impact and positive change to those around you. People are capable of impacting childrens lives in the smallest way. Dont remain bitter and critical of a situation you cant change. Alter your attitude or remain on your pedestal. Its up to you.
What a beautiful baby! Rest in peace, Sweet Angel!
I believe Marissa should never be released from prison.
every now and then I hit the back button on one of these videos. This is one of them
Oh, my God! Babies aren't Safe around her!! How did she avoid Charges??
Yes, I think she should never get out of jail.
Why is she smirking on her mugshot ?? Does she not understand that the murder part will put her in prison for a long time , in prison with hundreds of women that HATE baby killers. Or does she quite simply not care about it ?
Great analysis from the good doctor Grande , thank you !
Thanks for the upload, Dr. Grande!
Here’s to 2 million subs in your near future. I first watched you when you were under 100k. Such a delight!
So happy to have a new Dr.Grande video:) you just made my day ❤ your the best!!!
She lived just down the road from me. Thank God I never met this person so filled with evil.
Just finished watching the explore with us video on her and then 2 minutes later dr. Grande uploads this 😂
Yooo, the title of this alone is unbelievable!
The parents are at fault also
They looked at her and thought "yeah my baby is in good hands" 🙄
Dr. Grande I look forward to your content and value your opinion. I believe that you not only help viewers understand the psychological aspect of these crimes but the way you describe it is useful.
The most dangerous people we encounter are the ones with zero empathy and zero impulsivity control like Marissa Tietsort .
That Poor Little Baby!🥀🥀🥀🕊️🕊️🕊️🙏🙏🙏
Completely agree. What a sad case. I couldn't even smile at Dr. Grande's dry wit on this one because it is just too sad of a case. RIP Benson, and I hope all the other children associated with these two mothers are doing fine. Makes me sad. :(
@@Viewer92136 hello. Isn't she just Heartless?
@@renee1961 Yes, I wonder what happened to her own children? I hope they are with someone that truly loves them and is taking care of them. This entire case is so sad. Also, I can not even imagine the trauma this caused for Benson's brother that was in her care and witnessed the events at the laundromat.
Her mugshot....she looks like an evil villain from a horror movie.
Good evening, Dr. Grande! How are you doing? Great, I like to think! Thank You!
Thank you for explaining this. This case is horrifying, but now I understand how something like this could happen.
Just because someone has a lot of children does NOT mean they will be a great babysitter.
Who the heck drops their 2 month old off at their friends?! Especially one that just got her kids taken away. Not smart parenting at all.
Dr. Grande, can you please analyse the circumstances of the 1995 disappearance of a Kansas trucker named Devin Williams in Tonto National Park.
Baby Benson going to Mickey D's and driving around like a real Weekend At Bernie's moment.
So sad, poor family having to suffer this and by a 'human' who takes no responsibility, she doesn't care because of her upbringing sadly.
Parents are at fault too
Why is someone with five children babysitting other kids? If you’re irresponsible enough to have five children that you cannot afford, you’re not responsible enough to take on any more children. I wouldn’t trust this one with my dog.
I love your videos! You put so much work into it and we get so much more out of each video bc you are a doc..i love how you have the best jokes to make the videos not so dark.
She had 5 children. How may different fathers?
Thanks for consistently uploading Dr! You should look into doing a video on Debra Jeter. She took her two daughters to an abandoned house and cut their throats but one of them was still alive and begging for help so she called 911. The 911 call is insane.
How you let someone who lost custody of 4/5 kids babysit? ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS
There should be a law allowing for sterilization if the mother has one ore more children in CPS custody. She is deeply disgusting.
The “justice system” failed all of those kids who where ever in her care.
Excellent and thought provoking analysis!
I cannot overstate how genuinely creepy and unnerving it is watching the footage of her during her arrest and interrogation. Her presentation and affect, to get clinical, just lack any ability to conform to the situation around her
OMG, I totally watched this as it was happening via the body cam videos. She is so messed up!!!!
How dumb are the friends though? She's lost custody of 4 kids (that's an amazing, almost impossible feat for a woman), and injured every kid she's seen. What would make you let her watch your kid?
May sweet little Bensen Rest In Peace❤ Have a good weekend Dr. Grande😇💕from Jean.
This is one of the saddest stories ive ever heard. Shes só mean.
As an Abuse Victem myself i still can find no empathy for someone who continous the Circle of Abuse.
I could never do to someone else what has been done to me and i can not understand how this is even possible.
I still feel helpless, how can someone forgett this feeling and become the same that once broke them?
I just saw video about her the other day and wow, she shouldn't have been in the same zip code as any children. Crazy *******
Dog sitter for few years. Many of my clients did way more due diligence prior to dropping their dog off than this woman did with her 2 month old
Here’s a great piece of life advice.
Never trust someone with a Monroe piercing..
Poor baby Benson 😢💔 rest in peace, sweet little boy.
I believe shes still a threat at 62 years old when shes out. I hope nobody lets her babysit.
Prison is where she belongs !
The last thing she seems is calculating.
