It's so nice to hear that the sequel of my favorite IEM is totes going to be worth the money. I've been lost trying to find a new IEM, not that mind since I love my Moondrop Aria.
Got a pair, what the hell. Everything is just so good about it. Easy to drive, great packaging and included bits, great wire, everything sounds good, no drawbacks or caveats. These are indeed the new "gift" headphones or first pair recommendation. Everything else always seemed to have some little asterisk in its recommendation. The aria have no drawbacks I can think of. Big sur moon by buckethead has a bit where the guitar goes over your head. Not many can recreate it. The aria can.
I'll be honest I own a lot of Moondrop single DD's. I'm tempted to buy this, as the only one I don't own is the original Aria. I got the Starfield over it back in the day. Though I know moondrop are moving away from it but I really liked how simple the shell was on the Starfield, just two pieces of brass together and then painted. I've never once had the nozzle block in all those years. So these new exposed brass nozzles are a little too big for me but they still work, they also tarnish but that's fixable. Just wondering where the newer Moondrop IEM's all sit next to each other, like Starfield 2 vs Aria 2 and I assume they will probably do a Kato 2 considering it's still there main IEM.
@mikeshock7265 all except em6l but the reviews of that speak for itself. There's just nothing special about the aria 2 driver or tuning for the asking price. Accessories are nice but it should be priced around 50 to be worth it
Wasn’t sure about getting these after seeing they were “just” reusing the shell from the Starfield II.. Decided to give them a go after seeing your review.. so glad I did, really impressed with the sound quality, only tried them with some final type e tips, might see how they are with the divinus tips or something with a larger bore.
I don't know about the Aria 2, but Fudu is great for me. Warm, bassy, easy to listen set. Recommended if you listen to music loud because it's smooth. At low volumes, it could be boring.
Is this like a budget Kato? Feels like the current market forced Moondrop to up the performance (and accessories, that cable seems useful.) Btw, anyone know what track he mentioned @ 3:22?
I have Aria 1 and 2. 2 has a lot better treble. But if that is worth spending the money is very subjective and I can't decide that for you. But - at least to my awareness Aria 2 is the best executed version of this tuning style below 100.
Which wireless should I get to replace/supplement my wired IE600 from Senheisser? I am 60+ and brand and technology agnostic and listen to jazz, blues and classic rock from the 60s and 70s. Thanks
Hey man, currently on the Truthear Blues, still not very happy listening to rock on them. At least finally got instrumental/pop/r&b fixed with spintfits. How different do the Aria2 sound Zeos? More or less V shape? Cheers man.
I have the Truthear blue. If you're talking about metal, and how they can get fatiguing, yes I've had the exact same experience. You need a warm/soft iem, something with less detail in the high end, something non-sparkly/dark. The Tangzu Fudu sorted the problem for me.
Would you say $100-$150 dollar iems beat over ear headphones in the sub $200 range Sennheiser 560 , m50x AKG 701 for detail retrieval and mid quality? I know sound stage isn’t going to be anywhere as close. I was curious as a beginner
For overall resolution I would say yes. Especially the s12 which you can get for under 100$ now although the mid range is a bit recessed in the s12. If you're mainly looking for mid range and good timbre, then a 6xx or used 600 would be a good option.
I would, with the single exceptions of the hifiman he4xx or he-x4, provided you have an Amp to drive them. And the grado sr60x and 125x. The huge planars are magic but power hungry, the grado has its own sparkly wonderment, but for a more cohesive, easy to drive experience, I think something like the simgot em6l or the new truthears would do everything you need. But nothing will ever replace my old grado sr125e's. I'd take iems over any closed back under $300
@@elderman64 LoL, i own both aria 2 and Kato, and according to me kato's outshine aria 2's in every aspects except soundstage, Kato has natural tonality, timbre, imaging and a lot more details and better instrumental separation than aria 2. Aria 2 has only a wider soundstage than Kato, that too I feel like a holographic. Aria 2's are not even 50% of kato's.
@@viratjohn722 Preference thing perhaps, but they're definitely making Katos obsolete lol, especially for the price. The value is not even close, for Aria2 to sound pretty much exactly the same as the kato is great
simgot I own it I dont like it .. shouty mids some times and peaky highs some times .. can't listen to it more than 30 mins in normal volumes .. mehhh avoid it
@@in-earfetish In the Fudu video you called that the new standard buy under $100. So which is the real sub $100 king? Different picks for different flavours? It honestly seemed like the Fudu made much more of an impact on you! Either way, my Fudus are on the way!
I only have the magicone but I was debating between the yume ultra and simgot em6l. Went with the simgot, and would take it over the magicone apart from the fit and the aful has a more neutral tuning. The aful stands out as a really nice cohesive neutral set, but the em6l (and based on a reply i got from zeos) and the ultra are more musical and spacious. Also today (and maybe for a bit longer) the em6l is 89 bucks for some reason on amazon
Another Harman flavour change for a non-competitive price in today's market... Moondrop is hoping loyal customers would sacrifice their wallets for them huh? My most used iems in my collection are Moondrop and my end game (Variations) is still great in my eyes. Aria 2021 is my daily driver. I have other iems with different sound signatures in my collection but Aria/Starfield/Variations are the ones in rotation for the last few months. Moondrop did great before and now they are just relying on their previous success to continue selling units. Cmon moondrop! Stop playing it safe and give us a substantial upgrade or something new (dats actually GOOD). Some may consider Aria 2 a sufficient upgrade but for this price? There are better value deals out there. I'm disappointed. Though, one great thing about this is I won't be impulsively buying these. I tend to impluse buy exciting products every few months. But this is a skip for me.
Hey zeos! Quick question about the render tips.. how do the large size compared to final type e xl or azla crystal xl tips.. I’m cursed with massive ear canals and find it difficult to get tips that seal well.. 🫠

So aria2 or kato?
Hopefully these are better than the aria snow edition, I keep having issues with the drivers going quiet on one side than switching to the other
They are but I'd still go for a 7hz sonus, trn conch, ew200, ea500, or Em6L at this price point. These are not competing at their asking price
