    *update* April 15, 2024 : the quadrants are not a thing on the shp2 thanks to members of the EcoFlow’s community for clarifying. The warning max 60 amp is just the max for a circuit.
    **update April 16, 2024: blurred part about quadrants.

    Just so you are aware, there aren't 4 quadrants like you described.
    That's just a misunderstanding based on the labelling.
    The bus bar supports 120A total, there are no zones, poor labelling on their side, but it's just to tell you that any circuit can't go over 60A.
    The idea of quadrants is not a "thing" it was a bad assumption made by a couple YT reviewers early on... it keeps getting repeated over and over...
    The 4 section are basically covers that provide access to the relays for each slot (4 groups of 3).
    There are only two BUS bars (L1, L2 for split phase) and 60A is the per circuit max...
    ... That said, you can't really populate the whole SHP2 with 60A circuits as the max grid feed is 100A and the max battery feed (with 3 x DPU) is only 90A...
    Plus there are load calculations to be considered (by an electrician) when looking at how much should be placed below a 100A feed breaker, for example (even on the grid side)...

      Hi, do you know if the "smart home panel 2" and the "delta pro ultra" can always operate off-grid? There is no mention of this possibility in the manual

      Yes, it can be set to always operate off-grid. There is master switch on the SHP2 that disconnects the main grid. This allows the panel to be powered by the battery unit. You may also attach an inlet out to SHP2 for a gas generator connection. In this case the gas generator will power the SHP2 and charge the battery simultaneously.

    apparently you can’t set automations via the app for a dpu, without the smart home panel 2? without a home panel 2, i simply want to have it charge the dpu battery when my electric is off peak and power on, when it’s on peak. when i set the times in the scheduled tasks area, they don’t save.

    How long does the battery last running central air 3.5 ton unit?

    • @williamsung
      @williamsung  2 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Depending on your unit most 3.5 ton will use about 3.5kwh and the blower will use about 500-700watt so about 4. in my case would run about 7 hours with my 30kwh of battery if charged to full. if there was solar coming in it would be able to be extended.

    Does this installation require a permit?

    • @williamsung
      @williamsung  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey there it usually does require a permit you can consult with the electrician. Or when purchased in ca or tx EcoFlow’s does help with assisting you to get one by putting you in touch with who and what you need.

      @@williamsung thanks for the info! I’d like to see your Jerry rigged(noticed it was laying in yard) setup of solar you got in the back yard
