    I recently ordered the new Delta Pro Ultra from EcoFlow, but I'm having a frustrating issue. They sent me the inverter but not the battery, and to make matters worse, they charged me for the full unit.
    When I emailed them to ask about the missing battery, they informed me that the batteries for this unit are out of stock and will be available in mid-July. However, when I called their customer service number, I was told the batteries would be in stock in early July.
    These conflicting dates are leaving me stuck with a Delta Pro Ultra and no battery indefinitely. Adding to my frustration, their website still allows people to order the kits and the batteries as if they're readily available.

    Hello and thank you for the informative video. Is it possible to have some breakers pulling from the battery and other breakers within the smart panel that stay on the grid....all at the same time? Thinking I could save some money by keeping some loads on the battery/solar but since I currently only have two batteries, if all loads pull from the batteries then feels like there will be this constant battle of not having enough batteries to power everything? Feels like it is all or nothing, but if I am having a cloudy day I still need all breakers powered, just not all on the battery? Hope my question makes sense.

Situation I have is that our utility meter is located on the wall of a garage which is not connected to the house. The home breaker panel is located in the house, inside of a small laundry room. There is room to install the SHP-2 in the laundry room - but NOT ROOM to locate the battery/inverter unit. Suggestions??

    So, for power management, my view is the inverse of what you did. I believe that the main panel needs to have backup coverage with small exceptions. I want to be able to control 2 circuits currently in my main panel: Hot Tub, and EV Charger. Those need to go offline when grid goes off, but can be commanded on (so put in SHP2 circuits).
    Everything else we have manual control over, therefore main panel is on the "always-backed-up" list.
    Does DPU with SHP2 provide for this?

    @dontbanmebrodontbanme5403 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

    This looks awesome, yet I have no idea why it's limited to 12 circuits. I have a 2 zone geothermal system and those alone take up A LOT of circuits! In the end, as was mentioned in the video, you can get around these limitations by using skinny breakers. 24 should be enough in an emergency, although you then don't get enough granularity in terms of knowing what each device is doing. I guess there's so much motherboard circuitry that more slots couldn't be added?
    I like the idea of being able to add extra batteries here and there as you run into a few thousands dollars at a time. You can also get the EcoFlow Smart Home Panel 2 for $1,500, less than half the price of the Span Smart Panel.

    Cool video and what a nice set up! That is really slick. One thing that wasn't addressed was grounding. The inverters have grounding screws and I think a special cable is used for that. The manual to me is unclear about when to use this.
    There is one paragraph that states this: "When the product connected to PV modules is put inside the building, it needs to be grounded to reduce the risk of electric shock. Before using the ground terminal, consult a qualified electrician, electrical inspector, or local agency having jurisdiction for local codes or ordinances that apply to the intended use of the product."
    I don't find any mention of how the DPUs are grounded, if they have a FLOATING NEUTRAL or a BONDED NEUTRAL. I am not planning to charge the batteries using the grid, only solar.
    Also, do you have your solar panels grounded to your house main grounding rod?
    Any info is greatly appreciated, thank you.

    Question; I have 25 circuits in my 200 amp main panel and plan to move the 12 most critical to this smart sub panel strictly for emergency power needs using a 2 battery Ultra configuration. My concern is the reliability of this smart panel and specifically the manual transfer switches. What type of switches are these? Are they a simple electro-mechanical switch where if the automated portion fails the manual function still works? I don't want to dedicate the 12 most critical circuits in my home and later experience a switch failure in the panel with no way to switch power for those circuits as for me it's either grid or battery. I've read at least one instance of a user having a panel issue where EcoFlow sent them a replacement SH2 panel which is an expensive swap out if an electrician is required. Are control components in this panel replaceable without having to disconnect and remove the entire panel?

    • @tlteal
      @tlteal 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Not very long unless you have multiple extra batteries that cost a lot of $$$$. It's about $2500 (or more) for each extra 6kw battery. If your ac uses 3500-4000 watts conservatively, that would give you an hour or two, tops, running it tops for a $6k unit with one battery. YMMV.

      @@lukem5962 max wattage for panels would be in/around 5600 watts and that assumes you have solar all day to which no one has amazing solar for more than a few hours in a day. That's where the battery backup comes into play. You'd need a LOT of batteries to run a 4 ton (with a soft start as well).

      Hi, the charging principle of the EcoFlow DELTA Pro Ultra is to prioritize clean solar charging and supplement it with AC charging. It allows you to freely set the charging power, which is to better match your actual needs.
      For example, if you want to use as much PV input as possible, then just set the power to the upper limit of the solar panel's power.

Can you do a video on switching your SH2 to Generator for charging the DPU up with extended power outage? I have 2 DPU batteries, a SH2 and when I start Generator and switch SH2 to our new IPower Inverter Generator (GXS7100iRD - 7100 Watt Dual Fuel) half of my circuits on the app turn off. I am not finding any videos which are testing or presenting the SH2 to Generator(s) and the settings which are needed or should not be done to ensure a smooth transition. Bottom line, my SH2 is NOT transferring as you show to the Generator and it doesn't automatically start charging DPU as expected. And my generator should work it meets all the necessary specs.

      The support strategies for their products do leave a lot (like, a lot) to be desired. They’re certainly not Apple though appear to emulate them in their sales and marketing strategies.
      I want to upgrade to off-grid storage but am sincerely concerned about support. They lack advance replacement of products which is unacceptable, and their customer facing support consists of blog posts and basic FAQs.
      EcoFlow is not a complete solution and unless their internal strategies change, I don’t feel comfortable with bringing them into my critical loads pathway.

    This EcoFlow Ultra environment, while impeccably engineered on the surface, is flawed and not ready for prime time. The hardware installation and set up is simple and somewhat straight forward, but that’s where the full beauty of the design ends. The software and app that are actually responsible for insuring that you have power when the grid goes down do not deliver. The biggest issue is the parasitic draw down on the battery when the system is in idle. There are a number of functions on the app that conflict with one another, making work arounds to reduce battery drain impossible. Some app features don’t work at all. And as mentioned in another post, customer support, while courteous, is basically useless. The jury is still out to see if the software functionality is going to catch up with the hardware. I’m not holding my breath…

      Finally someone else who get it. If you are installing exactly like the base version per their instructions, you will be OK. But heaven forbid you want to deviate. And you need a qualified electrician. Otherwise you are wasting your money.

    I wish EcoFlow would help me with emergency power for the camper I live in and use it as a tax writeoff. But since I`m disabled the U.S. "Government" would punish me big time and disabled people can`t get credit or help in any way from anybody.
