I kind of like how they portrayed him in the movie. Being the only villain who was actually happy he was cured and was grateful. Lile in the comics hes actually been a good guy many times and had a very long run where he was helping Peter Parker. He was one lf the main people who helped set up Parker Industries.
Plus he became very first character who has a fish out of water storyline. That is all about his main Journey of going to a other world that he has never been before.
I love doc Ock so much when I saw the Hope return back to his eyes 😭 I felt such a relief and honestly if I was in the movie I would fight Doctor strange to keep doctor octavius there it's pretty much how I feel. And plus I didn't like the fact in Spider-Man 2 that they just let the man die but I am so glad that he came back you have no idea how much relief I am about that and a couple more things when doc Ock said about Norman I didn't think Norman was greedy I think he was just betrayed by everybody and I just feel sorry for the man like I feel sorry for doc Ock I mean the man's in pain you tell it in his face when he said fix like a dog no Spider-Man's not going to neuter you he's just going to fix the inhibitor chip so you're not in pain anymore. And I didn't like the fact that electrode threw him at the window I'm glad he's safe and everything but I'm a little pissed at him for doing that but at least he's safe that's all that matters And in this entire film he's the one who stole the show. And he's the one who was never a villain or a monster. And when Otto said you could have left us to die I would have said interfering in a situation you don't have to is the essence of being a hero.
He became the only character out of the 5 Villains who has a very well written and a fully developed storyline. Where he chance his way from being a bad guy into a good guy. Dr. Octopus has the best storyline ever in movie history!
Doctor Octopus is one of my favourite Spider-Man villains so I really wanted until the final Battle for him to get fixed. Because we could of seen a rematch between him and Tony Maguire’s Spider-Man.
The CGI tentacles must've been a relief for Alfred not having to carry 100 lb. each practical puppets on his back again Although the tentacles seem thinner here than they were in Spider-Man 2

Well it is the arms controlling him. Otto himself is a pretty great guy as we got to know him in Spiderman 2 and considering the fact he chose to do the right thing in the end, even at the cost of his own life. We saw him struggle for control over the AI in the arms too and I am guessing the AI was pretty strong
The live-action Doctor Octopus? how can this be? I saw him drowned with his own machine with my very own eyes! The Tobey version of Spider-Man was all grown up in this movie.

He did mention in Spiderman 2 that if not for the chip, the AI would control him, instead of the other way around and we see him battle for control in Spiderman 2 too, like the brief moment before the last surgeon is killed in the hospital, when the lights are white and the arms pause, before the AI takes back control
I believe since they talk about that these villains are from different multiverses in the mcu that Otto was taken into no way home (616) sometime during the train fight. He’s smart. He figured out Peter being Spider-Man in the second movie. You can see that when he tosses Peter into the wall in Spider-Man 2. Just like how he already knows who Peter is in that game. That being be in that own multiverse where he is taken from the train fight then that Spider-Man doesn’t have to stop a train and Harry doesn’t find out who Spider-Man really is. Unfortunately that Mary Jane doesn’t get to find out.

@@siphonophores I get that, but I also think that after watching Moon Knight and comparing that to the original Superior Spider-Man storyline, it makes me think that there was a lot of potential in the mind-sharing state between Peter and Otto that the comics didn’t really dive deep into. I’m just saying if they wanted to portray that storyline on screen, they could probably take a page out of Moon Knight’s book when it comes to portraying the physical and mental toll that such a state minds could take on someone.
