I just got my NFC cards yesterday from the walmart site, and the problem with some of the cards is sometimes the rare item isn't on the card you expect. I have a card that has a picture of the Biggeron Sword on it, never got the Biggeron Sword from those cards, but I got it from another card that I wasn't even expecting. It's weird. I wish my set would have came with a sheet on the possible drops from each card. Some are self explanatory, but not always!
For those who wants to save the most time all you have to do is save before you activate the amiibo and keep loading that save until you get your desired item
After I made the video, I realized I maybe should have pointed out my time when I changed the day. You can see that it literally took me minutes. To do this. The only problem you may have going forward is getting the exact item you want. Some amiibos have more rare items than others. Just letting you know. Thanks for the comment! Very much appreciated!

Started doing this today, after the first common drop I was finally able to get the final piece of amiibo armor i needed (Trousers of the Sky) Thank you
Enjoy upgrading the amiibo armor. Best way to get giant ancient cores is scumsave on gaurdians until they drop one. It takes a long time to get them to drop it but they will eventually drop it. 20 tries on one is normal.
For any Wii U owners!! (myself ) I know switching the time is a very long process, here is a quicker version but it’s not like this where you can “choose” your drop. 1. Make a save before you scan the amiibo 2.Open the chest, if it’s not what you want, reload the old save, 3. Rescan and repeat the steps! It’s more random but this works!

I'm really excited to use them to get the weapons (the Twilight Bow and the Biggorn Goron Sword, especially) and the tunics from past games. I don't know how much more convenient this is, but you can save your game before you use the amiibo and if you dont get the item you want you can just load to the previous save
I really appreciate your videos. I just tried this tonight, and I'm not sure if it was just dumb luck, but I think this method can be used to get all the divine helms in one go. What I did was I applied this method using Ravioli and not surprisingly pulled four bows in a row. On the fifth pull I got the Vah Medoh helm and decided to scan the other three champions. To my surprise, I got the other three divine helms. If someone else could try and report back, that'd be swell.
Tried this method out today. On the 5th time the chance to get a specific amiibo weapon still lies by 10% for most Link amiibo. Outfits for Link have higher %, the head-piece has the highest. Which means it still takes some time and luck to get what you want. The Godess Sword from the Skyward Sword Link amiibo with attack bonus was worth trying this out!
It works, just tried it. After you are in the great hit (knight bow and royal bow) just keep reloading that same save and eventually it will appear. I had to reload mine like 50 times and got it
Its crazy! I am a big BotW fan myself and I love glitching in the game. I got all the 100 % and also I know nearly every glitch but at your amazing videos I always learn sth new :)

I have those exact amiibo cards. Don't waste your time writing nfc on to stickers, just get the cards. This method would have saved me a lot of time. Didn't know about the chance for a rare drop being fixed. I just kept reseting the save or saving then moving my time forward.

Its much easier if you get one of those programnable Amiibo tags with the button that randomizes the ID. You can tap unlimited times. No need for date changes or saving and reloading.

You can get the Hero's Shield from wind waker from toon Zelda using this method. It is an extremely rare drop. A royal Shield with durability up is considered a rare drop so if you get that reload your game what you're looking for is for it to drop gems everyday until it only drops the royal Shield with durability up keep reloading and getting the royal Shield until you get the Hero's Shield. I actually managed to get a Hero's Shield with durability up which I'm assuming is extremely rare
Good to hear that it's supposedly possible with this method. I rolled gemstones 5 days in a row multiple times. It's like I can get the BigHit more than 4 days in a row, which according to this guide, shouldn't be possible.

Hey nikko I discovered that if you get a common pull from an amiibo chest, you don't have to save the game after pulling it, you can just reload your last manual save and drop the same amiibo
Things will be fine but lost items will be called, “what is this again” if you warp too far in time. Also, you will get cockroaches in your house as well if you are too far in time
Nintendo had 2 options to work with their amiibos. A:Make every outfit for every amiibo ever or B. Make only outfits for the Franchise and drop loot for the rest. A was more time consuming but to those who didnt have the franchise amiibo didnt have to buy them and scan them multiple times. Nintendo side:More work to do,Positive feedback,Less financial income. B on the other hand was more shorter,so I assume they picked that side for the fact that players either had to buy the amiibos,Or they had scan the ones they had or ask a friend for one. It's a -1 for people who don't have the franchise amiibos, but a plus for both the players who have the franchise amiibos and nintendo.
If you have a android and I think you need nfc on the phone there is a app in the app store called joycon droid and it let's you play as a controller on your phone but it also let's you scan amibos you just have to get the amibo codes online which are free to get and once you download it you can scan any amibo without the cards or amibo

Hey I have been testing this over and over with multiple different amiibos to reach that 4 common chest loot quicker. On the 5th chest the loot is still randomized. I’m now wondering whether each amiibos has separate counters for the common loot before giving rate loot. Either that or I’m bad at keeping count.
You also can switch between two days . But the day ealier day (the day bevore today) bevore you save switch the date right and than safe because then your save states are in the real row

That means your second drop may be the 4th one already. Does that make sense? It's dropping rare items now. If you keep going these are the percentages for the amiibo's rare drops: 60.0% - Knight's Shield 30.0% - Royal Shield 10.0% - Hero's Shield
HINT: careful when/where the game triggers an auto-save this can ruin your process, also if you are not at the guaranteed rare drop it's best to always reset the game immediately and NOT accept the item(as doing this can sometimes trigger an auto save)
I accidentally changed the month instead of the day. Well, I saved the game after I got a common drop from the Zelda (smash bros) amibo card. After I changed back a month, what was strange and awesome at the same time is that I started to get rare drops. I don’t know if it was my luck, but it seems to work for 5 amibo cards in one day after I switched back a month.
If you want cheaper option, but still want the amiibo items, the amiibo cards are good. If you still want the Nintendo amiibos, eBay, marketplace other buy and sell apps are good. I suggest smash/twlight zelda for the twilight bow. And the OoT Link for the biggoron sword if you do durability transfer glitch. The other amiibos are great mostly esthetically for their equipment. Good luck!
Some people play the bow shots game. Whenever link gets a royal bow, then you have to take a shot of a drink (or something like that with alcoholic beverages whatever your preference is). Thanks for the tip. When I get my amibo cards from Amazon, then I’ll do your trick to get the twilight bow. I’ll let you know when that method works still in 2020

Basically it's like a small percentage for the item to be a "rare" item. And then you have to hope that rare item is the one you want. If you force the amiibo to get 4 "common" items in a row, the 5th item will 100% be a "rare" item. Then you can save and reload that drop until you get the one you want
Sorry don't have an amibo,which is why in asking this question. Can you use an amino multiple times without resetting? If so, does it have a timer on it so you can use it again?

Two years later but: if you do this you don't avance the pool to the great drop pool. You do what you said once you are in the great drop pool.

yes! so it still is random, but depending on the amiibo sometimes the RNG is only a gear, so you'd be just redoing for specific equipment if so

In strange occurrence, using this method and Rider Link Amiibo, I spawned two chests, which contain both the Traveler Saddle and Bridle.

I read that you have to have completed at least one of the Divine Beasts Dungeons before the Amiibo drops the Twilight Bow.
pro tip: you can buy nfc cards that work the exact same as amiibos but cost as much as about half the price of an actual amiibo

You also can switch between two days . But the day ealier day (the day bevore today) bevore you save switch the date right and than safe because then your save states are in the real row

That means your second drop may be the 4th one already. Does that make sense? It's dropping rare items now. If you keep going these are the percentages for the amiibo's rare drops:
60.0% - Knight's Shield
30.0% - Royal Shield
10.0% - Hero's Shield

HINT: careful when/where the game triggers an auto-save this can ruin your process, also if you are not at the guaranteed rare drop it's best to always reset the game immediately and NOT accept the item(as doing this can sometimes trigger an auto save)
I accidentally changed the month instead of the day. Well, I saved the game after I got a common drop from the Zelda (smash bros) amibo card. After I changed back a month, what was strange and awesome at the same time is that I started to get rare drops. I don’t know if it was my luck, but it seems to work for 5 amibo cards in one day after I switched back a month.

If you want cheaper option, but still want the amiibo items, the amiibo cards are good. If you still want the Nintendo amiibos, eBay, marketplace other buy and sell apps are good. I suggest smash/twlight zelda for the twilight bow. And the OoT Link for the biggoron sword if you do durability transfer glitch. The other amiibos are great mostly esthetically for their equipment. Good luck!

I recently got all of the Divine beasts helms as well as the twilight bow. For the Devine helmets I got Rudina and Ruta on my first try. I’m trying to get the sword of the six sages now. Thanks for the awesome amibo method!

I don't think u need to change the date just load the older save and try again and u can use the Amiibo
Basically it's like a small percentage for the item to be a "rare" item. And then you have to hope that rare item is the one you want.
If you force the amiibo to get 4 "common" items in a row, the 5th item will 100% be a "rare" item. Then you can save and reload that drop until you get the one you want

Sorry don't have an amibo,which is why in asking this question. Can you use an amino multiple times without resetting? If so, does it have a timer on it so you can use it again?
Each individual amiibo can be used after 12am
I don't even have amiibo but am still here lol
For Cemu users, you can just turn on the cheat to remove the daily cool down for nfcs...
