I like to think this song is the representation of Travis realising that he has to stop and the killing will someday backstab him or left him completely alone and depressed like Alice, now he has to finish this useless struggle and go away a second time, is like having a crazy night and waking up with a strong headache, but you got to follow up, so you grab your toothpaste as every morning and hope for the day to end.
God they went so hard on the soundtrack in this game, I am not a big fan of NMH2 story and writing, it isnt as deep as Suda51 works but man the music, presentation, it is so much more grungier and i love it for that reason
I just beat no more heroes 2 fuck this song is so good i first heard it in that "Can't find the exit" video and ever since i have been listening to it non stop, the moment this started playing all I could think was travis monologue in the death metal fight especially after reaching alice and hearing her motivation for the ranking it all comes to one thing no one can find the exit
Near the end of the 2nd Place level when Travis is going through the projects. Headcanon, that's where Travis grew up as a kid and he and Jeane played together at the playground he saves at.
