Thinking they should just start calling it the Spin Games, or Twirl Fest. It's rad that someone can do four 360s in a row, but now days it all looks the same now... just tuck, huck and spin. Too bad there's no actual float, tweaking or poking things out for style.
Doing a poked out 720 looks really cool but is way too easy for these guys. There would be on competition if they did that.

thafrody you can make a competition out of anything. Look at what Danny Davis is doing with his peace pipe contests. That’s where the soul of snowboarding was and lives. There’s no such thing as a too easy trick. Do you snowboard? A floaty method or backside 180 grab is “easy “ but tons of style and soul. These guys are starting to become stunt monkeys chasing sponsorships. 20 years ago the sponsors were chasing the riders because they had real personalities and were creative and stylish.

You're not wrong. It is a huck fest, but that is why it is "Big Air." This is the true venue for it. Slope STYLE is where it gets annoying for sure.
Weston Brandt yeah good point. But it seems the focus is still on how many corks and spins they’re doing and not about how much air they’re getting. Granted you need tons of air to do a 1440 but I’m just missing the Palm, Terje and Travis Rice. Rice could throw down a 1080 while corking, and tweaking japan. Soooo sick. Holding a huge bask side 180 and landing clean is almost harder than just twirling like a top.

Ok can we all stop for a second to recognize the insanity that is chris cornings flat 1620. He landed this trick clean in slopestyle last year but was not rewarded. This trick is huge, he goes massive and spins flat. If he lands this trick clean on the Olympic stage i belive he will win gold. FLAT b1tches. Lastly im mad old, i can remember shaun white winning slopestyle in the early 2000s ,i remember the announcers saying " and hes spinning flat he is(and i quote) "not cheating" Now im a hucker at heart, triple and quad corks are sick but i just have this feeling.._ like chris cornings not going to raise the bar, hes going to break the bar. Go Chris lets see a flat 1800 and put this cork fest to rest

Ondřej Veselý i think there‘s a grit with the different scores for different tricks and rotations. Then it comes to style and the landing.

Can someone explain to me the difference between rodeos and corks. I understand that corks are off axis rotations, but rodeos look like they are off axis too
They are not off axis spins, corks your front shoulder drops first rodeos your back shoulder drops first

snowsports look cool but they just arent as interesting as the summer sports because in snow you wont get hurt unless you really suck. On the dirt or street you can die even if youre the best in the game.
Cole Knapek it’s sorta the opposite on snow of what you just said. You’re way more likely to be injured badly by trying to throw something big on a moneybooter than you are when you’re a beginner
