Under clear blue skies, Colorado's own Taylor Gold graced the top of the podium at the Red Bull Double Pipe event, the first-ever snowboarding contest featuring two 22' tall, side-by-side superpipes complete with rails, wallrides, channels and other unique features scattered throughout the custom built snow feature. After a two-hour jam session in the morning, the top eight competitors advanced to the finals Sunday afternoon. Each rider took three runs, with the best run determining their score. Love everything about this idea... The innovation of the Double Superpipe only creates room for more creativity in the sport of snowboarding.
I assume that Red Bull will be using their energy drink to power the next flight to Mars.

I didn't but now that you mention it I do. That is awesome and I love this idea. Hopefully it gets picked up for contests in the future cause that would be so sick. Way better then a singular halfpipe, IMO.

I think the transfer over to the other pipe would be much easier (momentum wise) if you backflip or front flip over to it. But i also think the lip or last foot of it needs to be cut so that it is not completely verticle. Or designate sections of the pipe to have the lip cut at 20-45 degree slope to aid in the transfer and help in the riders ability to make that transfer inverted and many other ways instead of just upright and forward.

could you imagine like a synchro pipe? like synchro swimming but they'd be doing the same thing on each side!! or they could switch sides. basically its like synchro diving, but in half pipes
Should build a 'snake-run' styled half pipe, line with obstacles like rails and walls, and have it leading into a double pipe for the big tricks and transfers!

because SPT (snow park technologies) built it not red bull. By far the best terrain park makers in the world
