  • @skatesamTX
    @skatesamTX ปีที่แล้ว +26

    Seems like the judges played a little bit of favoritism here. As much as Gui overly does 900's, I still feel like his run was heavily underscored compared to Edouard's run. Edouard's run was pretty repetitive with the back to back kickflip grab spins.

    • @lp.6559
      @lp.6559 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@skahlerthat's dumb. No one else have 9's because they are waay more difficult than 5's. The fact that he has them down, should be more impressive. A kick 9 should net a 100 points, it would be the craziest trick done in a run

    2 thoughts:
    1. Gui's first run push progression the most out of any of the landed runs and I feel like should have won.
    2. At the same time, Eddy's run, while the exact same as last year, is still unbelievably difficult and I can understand why it one. If he threw down the same line with the 900 at the end there would have been no question in my mind.

    • @mclarensaleenf7
      @mclarensaleenf7 ปีที่แล้ว +13

      It’s tough but I think Gui gets pretty heavily underscored. There was vert best trick (vert alert) recently where he did a perfect nollie 900. They either didn’t even give him a medal or only gave him bronze which was a ridiculous robbery. The nollie was properly done too, I’ve never even thought of a nollie 9 but that was hands down the craziest trick I’ve seen on vert in years

    I love how they call it a 30 minute Jam, but they hold each skater for 3 minutes between runs and then take commercial breaks. Like it should be every 30 seconds you have to go or you lose pass on your turn.

    this feels like your watching an online video game tournament. The “map” (insane skatepark in a backyard) and insane tricks being thrown and landed, just dont look real

    If theres 1 thing watching X games has taught me its i have no idea how the judging works. The kid had a killer run to come in at 88 his 900s seem to count for less

    I don't skate so I'm not familiar, but to me it looked like alot of people had wheel bite on the same spot on the ramp. I wonder if something was up with the ramp

      Their trucks are tight as anything no chance for wheel bite

    Weird how much commentary hypes Edouard’s 900 as pushing the sport but penalizes Gui for doing two 900s including a body varial. I guess he could switch it up and not just skate backside but he had the hardest tricks.

    • @ethansandy2347
      @ethansandy2347 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It’s the combination of those tricks together that push the progression so much. No trick in that line is filler, and the kickflip 5 to kickflip 3 is more technical

      @@ethansandy2347 Gui could learn to do Edouard's run way before Edouard could ever do Gui"s. This result is going to push Gui to do so and I am not for it. Gui won by far. Also no hand drag!!!

      @@Ajwritescrypto it’s not cause he’s not on monster. If anything it would be cause he’s young and it’s easier for him to spin. However, it’s always been about speed and height as well. Being that he’s younger, he’s not gonna go as high or as fast as the other guys too
