Sorry to be off topic but does any of you know a way to log back into an instagram account? I stupidly forgot my account password. I would love any assistance you can offer me
I am very happy with your videos. Your way of working makes me think of the earliest times of bonsai collection and training that I have read about. It is very hot and dry in Texas this time of the year, but when I watch your videos I am walking in the green mountains of Japan. Refreshing. Many thanks. I look forward to further videos.
This would be a beautiful pine bonsai already from the start. I only wish I lived nearby your mountain to collect these gems from nature. In the USA we can’t do that. Envy!
You actually can! I'm not sure where you live but here in CA you can get permits for this as long as you only collect on certain state/federal land. I'm still working it out completely, but it seems like you can find a tree, get a permit, then collect it once OK'd.
Just find someone with rocky outcropped forests get permission from land owner collect tree . I have 80 acres and there's so many great trees I limit myself to a couple every few years .The hornbeam and pine and juniper are abundant in our neck of the wood
I'm in Missouri and we have little ones everywhere on our property and down the road. If they sprout too close to the road, the utility company mows them down. Understandable, but I still don't like it. Now that I've seen this, I'm going to start rescuing them. 😁
I watched all your videos in a few days. I liked it very much. Surprised that you consider yourself an amateur. I wonder what happened to the hazelnut, the seeds of which you planted?
You know 'Akadama' bonsai soil? The thing they puts into the roots while planting, So basically that Akadama soil will changes color (it darkens) when wet which provides a visual indicator of when to water your plant.

@@Zencannabonsai I’m in San Diego, never knew there’s a permit for that. Only follow by rules “take only pictures, leave only footprints” 😁

Looks like the rule of only cutting away 1/3 of the foliage isn't true after this. You pruned that thing into oblivion. Very pretty.
There's only one word to say: Wow!

Do you think theres an advantage to using mountain soil instead if akadama, kiryu and pumice?
the mountain soil looks muddy or wet and the root won't rot ?
Thank you
Amazing
Saludos de lima-Peru.
I tried to do a quercus bonsai with your metod! I hope it'll grow, but I don't know if I must keep it indoor or outdoor
Outdoor!
Oak are outdoor only . Tropical trees can be kept inside or trees that don't like alot of light

It depends on the tree and the container and the substrate and how much sun it gets where you place it outside.
