I can see you do enjoy the prep work before a trip. I have made off shore trips with some local captains that would make you cringe on how unprepared they were. great informative video
Great comprehensive video, thanks. I agree that a bolt cutter is good to have offshore, ask me how I know. I once ended up with a big jig in my leg, pushed it through and cut off the barb with a HF bolt cutter. I spray mine with Corrosion-X and then vacuum seal it.
Awesome video Bill! Your content is always real world, old school, hardcore fishing. Don't forget to make the video about the SPL with RS endorsement, fish house, etc. Looking forward to that one ever since you sold those sheeps to Kings.
Bill, when going over your safety gear you mentioned a PLB but I didn't see the EPIRB. I'm hoping you just overlooked mentioning it because the PLB is definitely not a great replacement for an EPIRB on the high seas, right?
Thanks for the video! These kinds of videos always help me with my book series. Especially the ice machine bit. How long does it take your machine to make 700 pounds of ice? Also, 700 pounds?? That's crazy, where does all that ice go? Also, how long does it typically take you to run out to the Gulf Stream from the dock in the morning? Assuming the seas are relatively calm.
My machine makes 500lbs per day. The tuna melt it quick then we also brine when we get a bunch. I can make it to the stream in about an hour and 15. Thanks for watching!
The captain does all the work, l was lucky to fish tuna in Hawaii, we didn't have to travel too far,l give you alot of credit for making that trip
Thanks 🙏 yeah it’s a lot of work but so worth it. Usually 😜

Thank you! Yeah I’m gonna do that as well. Thanks for watching and commenting
good information, that gas tank truck trick would save a lot of money if youre not trailering around town.
Yeah it does

Great video. I have a 32 Regulator and it really is a pain to prep for those long trips, especially with no help... GREAT video sir!
Thank you and yes it is a lot
great info, you should do more stuff like this. Love your videos.
Thanks! Glad u liked it!
You don't have REC fuel where you are? I know it can be a little more expensive, but it has no ethanol and you will get little better mileage.
Nope we do not. I wish, but we don’t. Not paying those crazy on the water prices especially when trying to charter fish.

So you don’t use ethanol free gas? Or does Costco have ethanol free?
Nope, I burn it so fast at 1mpg it doesn’t make sense.
