I managed to retire early after driving myself into the ground for a decade and never regretted it.
I love Dan and Jamie. Also the joke at the end about them being there against their will was delivered perfectly and I laughed out loud. I love the editing on these house vlogs, it helps keep it interesting 😁
Everyone's talking about Dan and Jamie (rightfully so), but Marcus the editor deserves some credit for this one too. The Uncharted gag with Dan was hilarious, and the buffering wheel on Jamie too XD
This has to be one of the best videos I’ve watched in recent history. I was laughing to the point of tears at various parts and have super enjoyed these home videos. Hyped for the future of LTT, more like this please!
Agreed! I usually get a good chuckle out of LTT videos, but this one had me literally laughing out loud at several points. It's both informative AND entertaining!
I gotta agree with everyone. Dan and Jamie are great on camera. I'd watch all videos with those two. Also, I've been loving these new house videos. Linus and Yvonne, You have a beautiful home and a beautiful family. It's nice seeing all of your years of work paying off for you.
This has easily been mentioned so many times for this series, but I find it absolutely brilliant, how Linus is funding the development of his house by making videos about it each step of the way. I also just like the videos for giving some pratical ideas for some tech upgrades to a house in general.
"where would you like me to hang your TV and then tell me it's too high" The amount of accuracy in that statement cannot be understated. I've literally sold a projector to someone who wanted geek squad to come out and install it. I ask them about the room, "just a normal living room" "not too bright" "x mounting distance from screen" so I set them up with a fairly nice BenQ 4k projector. The day after they go to do the job the geek squad installer comes back and starts yelling at me because the projector we were replacing was hung over top of an indoor pool in a room very open to natural light... Something the brightness on this projector was absolutely not designed for... I will never forget that moment.
I had to mount a tv on a fireplace made out of river stone once. Not even close to a flat surface. I broke three tapcons off in the rocks. Never again.
@@jamiepilkey Just universal customer service stuff in the tech world I think, after I left best buy I was the lead for another store's equivalent (I use the term loosely) of the geek squad for a while. In 2020 when windows 7 hit EoL in 2020 a bunch of people were bringing in their old computers to upgrade to 10, there was a lot of "yeah I can, but you should also have me replace this old hard drive while it's in here" only for them to say no and come back in a couple months mad because their hard drive died and yell at me... just marvelous.
It's really too bad for the editors that Linus' new house is surrounded on all sides by the world's most popular and densely populated senior nude resort. Otherwise they wouldn't have to blur out all the external windows constantly to obscure all the flabby, sunspotted and overly gray nudity.
I need to be able to thumbs up this video at least 4 more times. There is so much comedy gold in this one video. The chemistry of everyone involved is perfect!
I am so happy for Linus to be living his dream life. As someone who is steadily working toward his own dream, its is such an inspiration to see someone I looked up to and watched for 6-7 years achieve his dreams after hard work
Agreed. Been watching this channel since he was doing it out of his Kitchen and looked like a teenager. Definitely a hard worker that has stayed (mostly) grounded in his success.
I did low voltage contracting in my area, for all very high income clients. Any time we were doing a whole home system, everyone got pretty much the same stuff and it was fairly foolproof for us. Ubiquiti networking and cameras, Paradigm speakers (made in Canada!) , Dennon receivers, Samsung or Sony TVs, GM lighting tape light or COB lighting, and (emphasis here) RTI SYSTEMS. We used them for whole home music, all sorts of home automation, and universal remotes that control EVERYTHING. One remote, programmed once, control every tv, receiver, streaming system, and basically anything you can think of with it. It could have solved his garage door issue, his music, his remotes, even his hvac problems by just closing contacts on their processor. Also, we used Lutron RadioRA 3 light switches and outlets for everyone and it worked great.
Giving them the benefit of the doubt, they blur anything that shows out the windows to avoid people finding the house. It’s not to defraud potential customers of this TV
@@anthonydotmoe Yeah, I know. I was also see in earlier take that the screen is actually glossy which I personally hate but you cannot get anything else in big screen these days. The LG coating is still the best there is according to Rtings testing (that is, it's glossy but the brightness of the reflection is as dark as possible - I would want as dark as possible and blurred).
It's already been said 1689 times, but I'll say it again. We need more Dan and Jamie! The amount of issues you're running into on this house and you haven't even finished moving in... You're gonna have an infinite well of content fixing issues and adding features and stuff, as well as calling your whole house a business expense.
You fill your house with all the amenities that modern lifestyle has, floor heating, hvac, big sprawling mansion, signal boosters, automated everything, multiple tvs, multiple computers, whole house wifi, cctv cameras, automatic doors for garage, a couple of 3080s here and there but you cheap out on furniture. You buy them from supermarket, retail chains. What quality do you expect them to have? Most look pretty, functional but made with substandard particle wood. You are a youtuber and surely you have seen fascinating carpenters doing big furnitures, with exquisite details and 100s of year old wood, you should contact them, focus on solid wood, the older the better and get custom furnitures made. Sure they'll cost a lot but judging by your house, your offices, and 3080s and other tech fixtures it won't be a problem for you. Focus on quality furnitures that'll last generations
Like... i watch LTT for entertaining tech coverage... But i would watch Jamie and Dan doing whatever they want. The energy they give off is amazing and hilarious 😂
That's usually how you get things that aren't all they're hyped up to be.. unadulterated singular hype.. the only thing necessary to sell a product anymore on the internet..
5:23 it's crazy that you're allowed to have low voltage lines that close to high voltage. Where I'm at the building department will not let you put low voltage in between the same studs as high voltage even if they're on opposite ends of the bay even if they're each in their own conduit.

@@elbeetlebeasto oh also I’m from 542 in Vegas, Agent.
@@elbeetlebeasto I remember Geek Squad when they were independent; saw them on some pre-TH-cam vid or another and thought to myself, "Man - that's an excellent schtick for what could be "Just Another Computer Repair Shop". I was fairly disappointed when they got bought out, although I'll never *really* blame company founders for grabbing the Big Payout - running your own firm is hard work and you have no life. I managed to retire early after driving myself into the ground for a decade and never regretted it.
this video is the most related thing for any geek squad installer
"or we could hang it above the fireplace as god intended"
me at my tv, and also dan: "disgusting."
what a cool guy, more dan please
Dan and Jamie are such an entertaining duo. I’d pay a year’s worth of floatplane subscriptions just to see the two more!
I love Dan and Jamie. Also the joke at the end about them being there against their will was delivered perfectly and I laughed out loud.
I love the editing on these house vlogs, it helps keep it interesting 😁
The Dan and Jaime moments were some of the best can't stop laughing moments I've had in a while. Absolute gold, they're so genuine and nice 😊
i just love Dan. Great having him in the LMG Family and in LTT Videos. we want more of Dan and Jamie.
Absolutely loved Dan and Sir Gsquad. Every time they were on screen I was either laughing or invested.
Dan is the greatest addition to LTT in some time
FantaGuy stole this comment and got more than twice as many likes as this one
I agree, and I'm sorry some check mark stole your comment
Everyone's talking about Dan and Jamie (rightfully so), but Marcus the editor deserves some credit for this one too. The Uncharted gag with Dan was hilarious, and the buffering wheel on Jamie too XD
This has to be one of the best videos I’ve watched in recent history. I was laughing to the point of tears at various parts and have super enjoyed these home videos. Hyped for the future of LTT, more like this please!
Agreed! I usually get a good chuckle out of LTT videos, but this one had me literally laughing out loud at several points. It's both informative AND entertaining!
I'm gonna need a buddy cop movie with Dan & Jamie, they're too funny together.
I'm so glad you finally hired Bob and Doug McKenzie. They're my favorite hosers!
Dan and Jamie need to be in every video they are so funny. I love their personalities.
They need yellow shirts and jean overalls.
I really enjoy Dan on these videos, he always cracks me up with his humor
I gotta agree with everyone. Dan and Jamie are great on camera. I'd watch all videos with those two.
Also, I've been loving these new house videos. Linus and Yvonne, You have a beautiful home and a beautiful family. It's nice seeing all of your years of work paying off for you.
The combo of Dan and Jamie is hilarious. Would love to see more of them.
We need te see more of Dan and Jamie working on projects, they are hilarious
This has easily been mentioned so many times for this series, but I find it absolutely brilliant, how Linus is funding the development of his house by making videos about it each step of the way. I also just like the videos for giving some pratical ideas for some tech upgrades to a house in general.
Dan and Jamie bring such a great energy to these videos. You love to see it
Yet another episode of "cool to watch, can't afford"
Lol
lmao
Same for me
Probably every episode is "cool to watch, can't afford" for me
Same
Wow, really lovely space to have and be able to spend time in with your kids. Congratulations and enjoy.
"where would you like me to hang your TV and then tell me it's too high"
The amount of accuracy in that statement cannot be understated.
Oh ps thanks for watching and also that seems very much like what happened out of my store all the time.
Dan on screen is always a pleasure! Love these home upgrade videos BUT more love when Dans a part of it. Jamie as well with his leet Geek Squad skills
Dan and Jamie gave me some really good laughs. I needed that today. Please include them in more videos
It's really too bad for the editors that Linus' new house is surrounded on all sides by the world's most popular and densely populated senior nude resort. Otherwise they wouldn't have to blur out all the external windows constantly to obscure all the flabby, sunspotted and overly gray nudity.
The images that pop into my head while reading your comment...😭
"Where would you like for me to hang it and then tell me it's too high?"
As a Hellotech contractor, I approve of this statement.
Dan and Jamie's rapport is amazing. Makes these types of video more fun and interesting
Dan and Jamie's desert dry levels of sarcasm banter made this so much funnier then it has any right to be.
The longer this series goes on the more problems he finds with what the contractors did. Man he has a lot of patience.
Legit, absolutely shotty work. Cut corners every 5 seconds hahahaa. I'd be calling them to rip the drywall off and start again hahahaha
I need to be able to thumbs up this video at least 4 more times. There is so much comedy gold in this one video. The chemistry of everyone involved is perfect!
I am so happy for Linus to be living his dream life. As someone who is steadily working toward his own dream, its is such an inspiration to see someone I looked up to and watched for 6-7 years achieve his dreams after hard work
I'd be lying if I said I wasn't jealous but I'm twice as happy for him
Agreed. Been watching this channel since he was doing it out of his Kitchen and looked like a teenager. Definitely a hard worker that has stayed (mostly) grounded in his success.
Dan is great, good camera awareness and humor is perfect for LTT. hope to see more of him!
9:50 WOW! This TV has window detection! Look how much less glare and how much blurrier the reflection gets when it reflects windows!
Yeah, I was wow'ing on the antiglare performance, too, until I figured out it was post production effect.
I hope you’re joking haha 😂
Dan and Jamie are awesome on camera! Love their energy! 😂
I love Dan and Jamie. Such fun duo. They should have their own hobby channel!
Like... i watch LTT for entertaining tech coverage...
But i would watch Jamie and Dan doing whatever they want. The energy they give off is amazing and hilarious 😂
Linus' home renovation inspired me to upgrade my gaming setup recently. This gaming room build is hype
woah you have a gaming setup!
That's usually how you get things that aren't all they're hyped up to be.. unadulterated singular hype.. the only thing necessary to sell a product anymore on the internet..
Every manchild needs a mancave!
ew its you
You probably went from 1 RGB light to 2. So inspirational
Dan and Jamie are such a treasure
Dan is awesome! His sardonic responses are on point and passive aggressive. I love it.
5:23 it's crazy that you're allowed to have low voltage lines that close to high voltage. Where I'm at the building department will not let you put low voltage in between the same studs as high voltage even if they're on opposite ends of the bay even if they're each in their own conduit.
Dan And Jamie are a great addition to the team, there banter level in the videos is absolutely on par
I really liked the Dan and Jamie dynamic!
I was already in love with Dan but then he referenced the perfect 5/7 reviewer and now I can't about anyone else. I need more Dan in my life.
We demand more Dan. Dan is just so good on camera we realy need to see more of him. His humour and the way he does things just fits perfectly with ltt.(sorry if there are spelling mistakes)
He's already in like every other video, but I agree lol
We need 1000s of hours of Dan and Jamie working on projects together
lol at 15:40 this cameraman is literally me, everyone else is putting expensive electronics in and he's like "ooh, cat!" XD
Can't blame them. It's Linus Tech Tips, so you see tech everyday. Cats are rarely seen.
My Grandad passed away this evening. Your videos continue to fill me with happiness, it doesn't really get any better than sitting down and watching a really good host talk about your passion.
Thank you to Linus and the rest of his team for consistently bringing me joy over the past few years.
Sorry for your loss. Take care, internet stranger!
@@niiiiiiisse Thanks, people like you are what make the Internet great.
I'm really sorry to hear that. I hope things get better for you. My grandfather died about a year ago an I can sympathies with what you are going through. Best Wishes!
@Carl Gunderson That's true, but if you surround yourself with the right people and the right communities, the Internet can be a magical place.
I like that the more it comes together the more people show up. Then they pull out the rug and the cat shows up. Gives this a real homey vibe. 😌
Dan and Jamie really are a fantastic addition to the team! They're hilarious
