That is one sweet rifle, it's interesting to see some different features on the same model. I feature a 1943 No4 Mk1* made by Savage on my channel that has some differences from yours.

I just picked up a Savage No.4 MkI* and it's interesting to me how many variations there are on the markings. Mine has a stock like yours but no flaming bomb markings... and has the micrometer rear sight - it's all "stoved" - the black finish that they use in Britain, so it may have been refinished but the stock is in super good shape and is numbered to the rifle... so. It does have a brass buttplate and that's the only part that has an arrow stamping.... my mag is also matching... the wrist stamp is a little different - just the serial number - nothing else... there are some Savage S stampings but not as many as I've seen on others...

I would query the production date of 1943 as Savage only produced these guns during 1941-42

Looks just like my savage. Great old rifles.

Without a doubt for serious accurate shooting buy a Mark 1 Singer ladder sight with the adjusting screw for up to 1300 yards.

i thought u had to shoot the 303 Savage rounds in the Savage rifles cuz the Brit rounds don't fit correctly in them

It is a 303 British Enfield made by savage. Not a 303 savage caliber
