I built a more elaborate Xmas layout this year and now have three ez app trains. I bought a cattle car for each train, put a wow wee 1" Bluetooth speaker in the cattle car. For $10 bucks each the trains now sound like DCC and you can even set up a consist. My grand daughter loves it and is a furred RR fan and she is 7. Easy realism will get more people is the Hobby. This technology has endless possibilities.
Will an EZ App train work on a conventional DCC track?
Danny Holt no it will not work with DCC as is. This channel tried them. But the digitrax ds51, will allow a D.C. Source plugged into it and you go to address 10, then D.C. Goes to the track and then it will work. Look up on this channel on ez app where he I'd this. Also check tsgmultimedia review to the digitrack ds 51 DCC and he also address it. Perhaps other units also can do it but this is one I know🇺🇸
Danny Holt you should be able to run EZ app locomotives on a dcc layout but you will not be able to control them with your dcc controller. You will have to use your phone
You should do reviews on differnt starter track typers. How they connect and switch accesories etc

Thanks, Think I may be better off with a reduced price DCC set. Trainz has this set for 250. If I can't find this set for not much over 100 it isn't worth buying if I'm going DCC eventually. I like the idea of the blue tooth but would prefer the audio come from the actual engine.

Hey I'm kinda new to this and I just wanted to update my DC system to DCC is that basically all you need to run a bluetooth train is to power the track ?

Is there a set that has a dcc set up with sound coming from the locomotive right out of the box? I remember MTH had one some years back, was hoping Athearn would do one, but they haven’t.

Danny, The EZ App is produced by Bluerail Trains. It is for their Bluetooth boards which Bachman has a line of locomotives that uses the Bluerail Bluetooth boards. The boards are independent of DC or DCC but the software currently does not have the capability to control DCC decoders. This is pretty cool technology by it's self.
