How was your experience on the edge? My wife and I just got back from a sky suite on the summit and loved it. However, we are looking to book the edge retreat class for an Alaskan cruise in 2024. Would you recommend this? Also, thinking about this exact room.
To be honest, it’s difficult to make that evaluation since we were on the first cruise out of the United States since the pandemic, so we were fully staffed, but only at 50% capacity. Our experience was amazing. The staff was so anxious to get back to work that they really went out of their way for us. It was probably the most incredible cruise experience we’ve ever had. However, a few years later, now sailing close to full capacity, things might be a little different. All the rooms in that class are gorgeous and new, so you really can’t go wrong. We’re sailing on Celebrity’s new ship, Ascent, this December. It’s also an Edge class ship, and this time we got the “Infinite veranda” suite. I have no idea what that means, but will let you know!

We have nothing to compare it to but it was great. We were on the millennium series and loved the small feel. It was remodeled in 2019 so it was beautiful. We are going to try the edge out next. Hello, I will cruise with the Celebrity Edge next year. I‘m wondering if one can hear noises from the magic carpet - when it moves, or people talking, moving chairs, music from deck 12… Thanks in advance for answering
@@admtim Thank you for answering. I had a cruise this year with a german company and at the balcony (deck 10) one could hear every noise from the pooldeck 12 (at deck 11 are only cabines) and from deck 5 from the terrace outside of the restaurant.
No doubt- it's not a suite; even if Celebrity calls it a suite. Avg price for a week is $2500 per person. For a true suite, that has only an additional 140 square feet, Celebrity charges $5000 per person/week. Truly insane prices.
We tip $100 up front. They'll practically do cartwheels for you for the entire cruise if you do that. You'd be amazed at the secret perks they can conjure!
@@Steinlage63 depending on the service we get, we usually tip the same amount to our room attendant. On NCL in the Haven, we had a terrible butler but an awesome room attendant - so we gave our room attendant double the tip and stiffed our butler.
Toilet paper? 🤭😄😃 You can say toiletries or if we need towels or other items for the bathroom? 🤗 You musn't embarrass your private steward or butler like that again. One's butler should always hold one in high regard. Tip for next time. 😉
i'm wondering if you've ever left the states before, i'm sire people know how to use a shower, the space under the beds have been there since the birth of christ, thats not a double sink, it's an oversized sink, americans get amazed by the smallest of things. but all in all, an ok video.

I agree it might not be deserving of the name, but I do not believe there is any misinformation here after my research.The edge has bigger suites, but this is their starter suite. The other cabins have what is called the “infinite veranda” (basically a large window that opens). The cabin in this video is actually superior to the majority of cabins on the ship

New upcoming cruiser here: do you tip your butler and also your room attendant? If so, do you do this at the end of the cruise?

New ships are pretty well insulated. We were far from the carpet, but couldn't hear anything from upper decks.

I usually tip my butler 100$ if the cruise is 7 days. If 3-4 days 50$.
