It works by making you feel too sick to eat, plus the vomiting and diarrhea take pounds off. I was on it for about a year and a half and it didn't help my blood sugar or make me lose weight.
yep i felt like crap
It works on your brain shuts off the addition for food yes when u go off its hard been off three months
So what about if you are a weight lifter & I'm constantly hungry since I cut back on portions. I omitted sugar, eat low-moderate carbs depending on my workout, drink a gallon of h20 a day & stick to whole foods but I carry belly flub and back fat. How will this impact the strength building workouts & muscle? Any professionals out there on this one?
Not a medical professional by any means, but I do a lot of strength training and I hold the most fat in the areas you mentioned as well. I have been losing consistently about 2lbs a week while on ozempic, and I am only on the introductory dose. I am considered medically obese, and despite having quite a bit of muscle, I have had a very hard time losing weight. With the ozempic, I have paired it with a reduction to my consumption of red meat to once a week and kettlebell work outs (100-200 swings; 53lbs bell) 6 times a week. My workout performance has not been impacted and my core is already much stronger, no loss of muscle to note thus far.
@Camryn Pooper good to know & what about your portion size? If you eat 6oz of a lean protein source will that be reduced to 3? I just don't want to eat like bird lol cause I know I can eat lol
@@Roaming_Realms2B I know how you feel, I have a huge appetite too. I keep my potions of protein to now 3-4oz per meal, and I eat a lot of fish now. I drink a lot of water during the meal and after which helps with the sensation of fullness, but the medication does decrease appetite as well.
Do intermittent fasting.
Perform your weight training in a fasted state (for me this means early morning) then eat high quality carbs and protein. Drink enough water. Seriously raise your consumption of vegetables like Broccoli, brussel sprouts, asparagus... anything you didn't like as a child 😂
You should eat till your full and not struggle with hunger. Try always having cucumbers and celery around so that if you've satisfied your desired calorie intake of carbs, protein and fats, hit those vegetables until your tummy says ok we're fine now.
Yea, don't leave out the fats. Very important for feelings of satiety and for actual weight loss.
Yes this happened to me I couldn’t control my hunger I was going to bed hungry and waking up early to get like a pregnant woman in speed!!!
This doctor has never listened to one of his patients.
I was on 2000 calories a day diet as a 6ft, 300 pound male and exercising 2 hours a day when I was 25 at graduate school. I got to 280, no where near healthy weight and after that I didn't lose a pound. My metabolism halted to the ground. 2 month on Munjaro, calorie counting and 35 pound down.
