Here's what I think they are doing: They are doing what they did to fix what failed in Hello Neighbor 1 by providing less alphas and betas, and just focus on the finalized game. And for the developer logs, they are probably doing it less to hide many secrets, probably to focus the dev logs on all the main focuses (like AI and overall game completion, probably some teasers along the way.) I think I know what they wanna do here. They wanna take their time, and work on the actual full game rather than alphas every 2 months. And they wanna try to polish the game, and not be as buggy and bad like the 1st game was, with the bunch of glitches and stuff. I appreciate TinyBuild and and the developer team for doing this, and I hope the game will be better than the first.
I heard about Hello Neighbor years ago, when the main selling point was the amazing AI for the neighbor. I was intrigued and I wanted to play it. But as time went on the game was changing, including that AI. By the time I fell out of it, all I saw was a jumbled house with a vague story and a mediocre AI. Then secret neighbor came out and I played the beta, and I was not intrigued in the slightest.
