It definitely doesnt make me want to start breaking things! What a nice art style! Ripping off google images is really unique and creative! I want the game to look like a crappy mobile knockoff! The neighbor doesnt need face expressions! Having him look like a brainless moron makes him scary! We dont need to hide the fact that the player isnt driving the car! Nobody will notice! Optimization is for NERDS! I love having my ears be tortured! I want to feel like someone is throwing bricks at my ears whenever im being chased! I also love stock chase themes! Its like im really in a void and not in an obvious cube under the map! Whoa! What a unqiue ending!! He buried me alive?? WOW! I LOVE WRITING! Time to realize the alphas suck
@@CKVanilla And yet the neighbor IS scarier without facial expressions and gasps. The uncanny valley from a seemingly ordinary human dude acting unlike a human is both more unsettling and interesting than having him act as you'd expect. Not necessarily the direction the devs wanted to take the game in, but it's fairly obvious they didn't have a strong sense of direction regardless.
@@Lasmelan but the issue is he acts like a human, he does things normal people do with the exception of getting stuck on everything and taking weird routes because a1 has the worse path finding out of any build. So when I see a low poly man slowly walking towards me with no facial expression I don’t think “wow that’s scary, he’s showing no emotion”. I think “lol the devs forgot to add facial expressions AND him speeding up every time you get caught so I can outrun this guy backwards” As for direction, they mostly knew what they were doing. tB just thought it would be funny as hell to release 3 builds that were ancient and didn’t match the current state of the game AND market the game as a stealth horror game when the devs have NEVER considered it a horror game. They said it was a “first person thriller puzzler”. You can look at the 2015 Kickstarter page if you don’t believe me
Uhm no it has like 2 useful rooms and isn’t a full real game and they put the utensils in random places cause they didn’t finish the design the alpha 1 is the best one cause it has atleast a cutscene and the shark part and is a full funny stealth game
Pre-Alpha: He is unpacking Alpha 1: He begins to end unpacking and has filled more rooms Alpha 2: He STOLE YOUR HOUSE and has hidden more secrets… Alpha 3: He has WAY developed his house and has even more secrets… and a more spacious house Alpha 4: the house just DEVELOPED EVEN MORE and got DAT WINDMILL BABYYYY… and insane rooms
So in the very first alpha, the devs originally thought for the neighbor to be hiding some kind of spirit, or perhaps his children's ghost huh. Quite interesting concept, but glad it turned out the way it currently is
I actually used to be really invested in these games, all the alphas were really good in my opinion. Much more interesting in a way than the finished game. Lots of secrets and unused content to discover, and generally pretty cool game design i think. I think alpha 1 is the most memorable to me, with the shark and stuff, and that was back in the day where the whole concept of the game was that the neighbour was supposed to have some advanced AI that made up different ways to catch you and stuff. That all really went south in the final game...
the sad thing about the alphas is, the insanity & huge home *could* have worked, but it'd require for it to be done in a different way than it was and the saddest part is, to me, the most amazing thing about the early alphas was the a.i adapting strategies & changing to counter you, but by the end it was basically given up in favor of a huge house that isnt half as fun i seem some cool suggestions too, like making more neighbors appear (as a cult, or robot versions, or whatever) that would patrol each part of the house, that way even if you went to some part that is unreachable to normal neighbor, you would still have to play against the adapting a.i but sadly the way it ended was the most underwhelming it could have been, sad really that being said, amazing speedruns as always
It's amazing how they managed to make such an amazing game at first, and then extensively and thoroughly ruin it upon the final release by screwing everything the players loved... TWICE...

I know so many youtubers (dantdm in particular), who spent hours trying to do the parkour in your video. So many tears, so much pain. One of the reasons why the game fell off, because it was too difficult. Not in the nice way either, just frustrating, respect to people who found out the secrets and how to do things first, they actually figured out this shit.
not really it started kinda high in PA, fell off a cliff in alpha 1, rised in a2, kept rising in a3, fell off in a4, fell into hell in beta 1 and 2, rose again in beta 3, then reached full game and it leveled out
@@CKVanillaWhat, a1 is better than pa, like the AI all PA neighbor does is watch TV while in a1 he actually does tons of things like a regular person would do in their house
@@pickleism253 the pre alpha AI changes depending on the state of the house and your progress At the start he watches TV, then he changes to working on the car, and then he’ll switch to doing regular tasks (watering flowers, making toast, moving objects, etc)
Game: Makes something people enjoy Also Game: Makes a completely different final product that doesn't fit the fanbase then is confused why people hate it. Seriously..if you're gonna create a type of game STICK TO IT if you don't you'll lose sales and make everyone upset because the audience you grew isn't the type that wanted something completely different. Why would you build up a puzzle loving fanbase and then throw them brainless platforming and such confusing puzzles most needed a guide to figure out? Like what the hell were they thinking?? Not only did they toss out the smart ai..but then added in other genres like platforming minigames and scary run rooms..none of this fit the targeted audience from the first few alphas!

Hello neighbour: Why are you in multiple universes
Easy Speezy: I’m speed running
Hello Neighbour: Speed what what?
its sad that some of the alphas are better than release and the current version
bro ALL of the alphas are better
@@genericname2747 alpha3?
@@cjaymain ...I retract my previous statement. Alpha 3 SUCKS

These speedruns are awesome. Great content!
I see you like this channel how about give mine a try
this video just reminds me how much I miss HN alpha. It was such a gem of a game and then they just ruined it...
Hello Neighbor Pre-Alpha: 39 seconds 76 milli-seconds 0:00
Hello Neighbor Alpha 1: 1 minute 22 seconds 75 milli-seconds 0:42
Hello Neighbor Alpha 2: 45 seconds 81 milli-seconds 2:16
Hello Neighbor Alpha 3: 1 minute 3 seconds 14 milli-seconds 3:14
Hello Neighbor Alpha 4: 4 minutes 20 seconds 76 milli-seconds 4:10
Neighbor: "I don't know what happened... He parked his car in front of his house a minute ago, invaded all the house and opened *_the_* doors...
I haven't seen the first build in years! How is it that this and other previous builds seem more consistent than the final product?
Well alphas are better than the final game, sad but true.
They should have made the alphas paid and the full game free...
@@SOTP. Yeah the alphas are great!
The AI never loses you
The stock foliage everywhere is a real treat!
The player dying in a car accident is a great story! Really creative on that one!
I being able to see the house they used for cutscenes off in the distance! Nice world building
The floating houses I can see from my front lawn are great!
The lighting is fantastic!
What do you mean slipping on bananas is broken? The neighbor getting frozen in place and unable to move is great!
I love the hiding nightmare!
I think “lol the devs forgot to add facial expressions AND him speeding up every time you get caught so I can outrun this guy backwards”
As for direction, they mostly knew what they were doing. tB just thought it would be funny as hell to release 3 builds that were ancient and didn’t match the current state of the game AND market the game as a stealth horror game when the devs have NEVER considered it a horror game. They said it was a “first person thriller puzzler”. You can look at the 2015 Kickstarter page if you don’t believe me
Ahh I remember the days of watching TH-camrs struggle to uncover secrets in the alpha 😌 good times
Okay but can we appreciate he finished on 4:20 seconds?
This helped me out so much beating all the hello neighbour alphas. Thank you EazySpeezy :)
Ah yes, the better games.
The pre alpha is literally the best version of this game
1 is better
@петя lol wdym go touch grass?
Uhm no it has like 2 useful rooms and isn’t a full real game and they put the utensils in random places cause they didn’t finish the design the alpha 1 is the best one cause it has atleast a cutscene and the shark part and is a full funny stealth game
Man the last one was close to perfection, just .07 seconds off
i like how often he says "finally" even though each trick takes literal seconds
This guy completed my childhood struggles in 30 seconds
I just love your videos and speedrunning in general ♥️
This man has unlocked an achievement on his life and that is speedrunning.
Alpha 1 is the definitive hello neighbour
yessss
0:01 Pre-Alpha
0:43 Alpha 1
2:16 Alpha 2
3:04 Alpha 3
4:09 Alpha 4
5:23 Alpha 4 double jump room
7:38 Alpha 4 basement
Pre-Alpha: He is unpacking
Alpha 1: He begins to end unpacking and has filled more rooms
Alpha 2: He STOLE YOUR HOUSE and has hidden more secrets…
Alpha 3: He has WAY developed his house and has even more secrets… and a more spacious house
Alpha 4: the house just DEVELOPED EVEN MORE and got DAT WINDMILL BABYYYY… and insane rooms
i like the description of "crouch in the air and raise our hitbox" because thats quite literally how box jumps work
2:14 I mean well atleast he also put a cross in memory of you I guess? And letting people know that there's a body down there
I remember early 2014 2015? And being so excited for updates then alpha 2 came and the game was at its best and then it got worse and worse and worst…
alpha 2 was released in 2016
@@bloonsfamily2066 This is what they mean.
@@bloonsfamily2066 LOL
Que bien lo hiciste, muy buen speedrun!! :D
Whenever I watched Eazy he makes me feel better Plus I love hello neighbor
Let's all admit it, Alpha 1 is better than the entire series itself.
Man, it's crazy how they kept adding more and more to the game. Sometimes simplicity is key.
It would've been too short, alpha 1 and 2 are not the greatest.
the sad thing about the alphas is, the insanity & huge home *could* have worked, but it'd require for it to be done in a different way than it was
and the saddest part is, to me, the most amazing thing about the early alphas was the a.i adapting strategies & changing to counter you, but by the end it was basically given up in favor of a huge house that isnt half as fun
i seem some cool suggestions too, like making more neighbors appear (as a cult, or robot versions, or whatever) that would patrol each part of the house, that way even if you went to some part that is unreachable to normal neighbor, you would still have to play against the adapting a.i
but sadly the way it ended was the most underwhelming it could have been, sad really
that being said, amazing speedruns as always
Hello Neighbor is the most broken game to ever be brought to screen
I love it
So do I. Sure, the game is buggy as hell and the puzzle design is subpar at best, but that's why I love it.
I think Security Branch is around the same level of broken
4:23 why the inscription on the billboard on the Russian?
Respect for all his speed runs this legend will never be missed 🙏 ❤
It's amazing how they managed to make such an amazing game at first, and then extensively and thoroughly ruin it upon the final release by screwing everything the players loved... TWICE...
Easy Speezy:
- 'Today we'll be speedrunning all of the Hello Neighbour alphas'
- Proceeds to speedrun all of the alphas
- Refuses to clarify
- 'Okay thanks for watching'
- Leaves
refuses to clarify what exactly?
he did what he said he would do lol
4:20 for alpha 4, yeah, that might not be the best time but it is a perfect one
0:36 i saw item slot and it shows like the 4 item slots on the PlayStation
Just got back into this game thanks bro
This is so crazy and difficult. The fact that every alpha update, the neighbor's house becomes bigger, and bigger, until it's as big as CaseOh got my notice
I must know how it stacks up against records! please include that in all your vids. If not I just assume no one else has done it.❤️
Omg I remember being so scared of this game if I got the heartbeat I would grab my iPad and turn it upside down
5:33 we’re going to gaiwn the abiwity to double jump
i like that in almost every alpha u want to get to the basement
EazySpeezy makes Hello Neighbor look easy, I don’t know how he does it.
If only he went a little faster on the last one he could have gotten 4:20.69 instead of 4:20.76
this dude is speedrunning my childhood
The quality of the game just falls every single alpha.
not really
it started kinda high in PA, fell off a cliff in alpha 1, rised in a2, kept rising in a3, fell off in a4, fell into hell in beta 1 and 2, rose again in beta 3, then reached full game and it leveled out
@@CKVanillaWhat, a1 is better than pa, like the AI all PA neighbor does is watch TV while in a1 he actually does tons of things like a regular person would do in their house
@@pickleism253 the pre alpha AI changes depending on the state of the house and your progress
At the start he watches TV, then he changes to working on the car, and then he’ll switch to doing regular tasks (watering flowers, making toast, moving objects, etc)
@@CKVanilla He only does those things after you unlock the basement, and by that point there really isnt much to do so its kinda pointless
@@pickleism253 it happens after the nightmare which I’m sure some people still hype up as being the absolute peak of horror
alternate title: speedrunning through a creepy neighbour’s home and my own fever dreams and memories
Loving those videos, the steps are always nicely explained! 🙌
8:06 “Finishing out the speedrun” forgetting about the giant neighbor
@monkemr alpha 4 never had giant neighbour, it was only from beta
Wasn’t that added in Beta 3?
It didn't appear until Beta3
@@dorota1832Yea it's not act 3 it's alpha 4
I love this game so much I am glad you did a speedrun
How do you get old alphas?
They are free on steam
Game: Makes something people enjoy
Also Game: Makes a completely different final product that doesn't fit the fanbase then is confused why people hate it.
TH-camrs: it's time to make 10 videos beating this game.
This guy: just 1 video with 8:08 minutes and that's it
