What I used to add LED lighting to my KALLAX shelves. Any ideas for improvement or shortcuts to other videos with different ideas let me know. This was my first try and how I decided to do it.
0:52 is that Rick Derringer ? Anyways, I’m knocked out by your extra light love ! No one else has this type of setup. Reminds me of glow in the dark posters - way back when. I’d love to take a week vacation in that room. With bedding, booze and some weed stuff.
Hey! Sweet collection and lighting setup! Really nice. I store my records in the same type of shelves, been thinking of putting LEDs in as well. Got this idea; how about, instead of cutting up the LED strips and feeding cables through holes, I'd cut the LED strips length to the width of the shelf and cut bigger holes so that I can feed the entire LED strip through all horizontal sections. Probably rectangular holes, cut out with a jigsaw? Then do what you've done with cables between vertical strips. Did you entertain this idea and rule it out? What do you think? It should work but the holes for the strips between shelves will have to be closer to the front unless you run the LED and 'rails' a little further back, which if your records are further back anyway should work.
