I believe the silver-hate is from people that got into debt, and are too embarrassed to say that they are having financial hardship. Its not as embarrassing to say "Silver is dumb so I'm selling" instead of "I ran up my credit cards, and now I'm bankrupt"
I think it has to do with it churning sideways forever and not going anywhere for years and years. A sideways market can be even more frustrating than one that rollercoasters for a lot of investors.

Today, you can sell that pre-1965 quarter and get more than enough money to buy… a gallon of gas. You might even have some money left over because, adjusted for inflation, the price of gasoline is actually lower than it was in the 1960s. The point is that gold and silver never “increase in value.” But… they do protect your buying power over the long term. Forget the typical fluctuations in the price of precious metals due to the vagaries of the market and the machinations of the speculators. Remember, for the price of gold and silver to “go up,” it means that the currency that you use to buy them is going down the toilet. That’s not really good news.

My first tube of silver maple leaf coins was purchased near the top in 2011. I was very disheartened, but continued stacking in 2014 at prices between $15 and $20 dollars. I'm positive that I'm no longer in the red with silver. It is a good store of value, which is how one should look at it. They key is to buy when prices are low. This applies to gold as well. I've tried to train myself to buy silver and/or gold on days when the price is down. It's a good rule to follow. I am not a in the big leagues when it comes to stacking, but I did buy 10 rounds two weeks ago. I will continue to buy silver when I have spare funds.
You sound like you have a great mind for stacking especially with the experience of purchasing back in 2011 that knowledge is valuable I started stacking in 2019 around 16 an ounce and was lucky to get into it at that time had a great year of stacking before things went hey wire not to sure if I would of had the stomach to keep going if I would of started in 2011 and watch it loose all it’s gains . I believe it’s a good time to buy silver especially with the premiums as low as they are , gold on the other hand I’ve never lost a cent on it so I’ll continue to purchase gold on the dips even at these high prices. As you where talking in the beginning, I was like-no way, not buying it, lol! The frustration over silver is everywhere and I get it. Like you talked about- long term hold but also an insurance policy against the dollar. I have done way better on gold tho, no doubt gold has worked out nicely so far.

I have been in silver for 1 year, already averaged a 16% profit on all sold items. Making money on silver short term and long term is the easiest money I've ever made. Just buy close to spot, know what the premium should be on the item and flip it if you need money.
Thanks for letting us know your thoughts on silver. I had to sell 2 oz of gold last year to bring my emergency savings back up. I spent some money on a vinyl fence, maple tree removal, and aligners for my teeth. I bought two 1/4 oz AGEs this year so far but I am considering buying silver if prices and premiums continue to decline.

God operates on his time. I buy Silver as a reserve for "Just in case" and it's fun. I have no plans of selling it or to stop buying it. I see this as a buying opportunity. I never bought it expecting a profit.

Sound is definitely on point. Good decision to upgrade. I’m buying silver when I have extra money. Sometimes it’s frustrating at times to see the price go down and premiums go up. I can tell you this, I’ll be selling in 15 years. Probably about 1/2 anyway. I want to enjoy some extra travel in retirement. 😊

I stack to save too. And as a hedge against collapse and as a possible money multiplier. But mostly to save. I buy heavy in the first quarter ( unless it;s over what I think is it's true value ( about 22.50 right now ) and then I buy on a budget each month unless I see a dip. Usually, I go for 10oz barz. If It spikes, I pull back and buy a $50 1oz collectible coin or two. Collectibles are not affected as much or at all by spot price. I'm watching to see if I can catch silver high and gold low, and then I'll go for a 1/4oz of gold. Never buy 1/10oz for stacking.

Yeah I played that GSR all last year and went way way to heavy on silver that’s my reasoning on needing a bit more gold this year I try to keep the stack at 50/50 in value but it’s up to 75/25 it’s just one of my things I do . It’s the premiums that are pissing me off...I bought at tube of maples in February before Covid and since then have only added about another 10 Oz....mostly due to premiums I’ve been waiting and still am for premiums to get lower.

Yeah I’m kind of in the same boat right now holding off on gold and buying up silver at an alarming rate. Took a break this week just to see where silver goes from here but honestly I’m thinking it’s going to go up . Lots of uncertainty out there right now I’m seeing tons of people taking large sums of cash out of the bank every time I go down there a week ago on a Thursday of all days there where lines out the door with people getting out cash I actually left and came back at 4pm to see if it was less busy and nope still a huge line 3 hours later this went on all last week so the uncertainty is real I keep watching multiple different financial news outlets to see what people may be digesting came up with a few different things but no solid answer news of the fed pivoting , geopolitical issues dollar pulling back , housing market interest rates still going up so my guess it’s a mix of multiple issues. But bitcoin gold silver are reacting like crazy . I’m always interested in seeing what comes next and my outlook is stay prepared scatter wealth in multiple places and gather as much information as one can. hopefully we don’t get priced out of gold and silver waiting for a pullback while at the same time not having FOMO and buying at the top . With a GSR near the 90's... I'm ok overloading on silver. Buying Silver with a "real" 80:1 ratio and swapping to Gold at a "Real" 60:1... Thats up 25% regardless of spot price. When the ratio goes back up... Wash, rinse and repeat.

I own a heating and cooling company....& I'm a silver stacker....I buy a lot of silver brazing rods....@ $56.00 per pound....if silver shoots the moon...this will raise the prices forcing me to charge my customers more for the Installation of a condensing unit. Then we will be complaining about Service companies charging us to much for A/C installations....MANNNN 😂😂😂😂.
Don't understand what happened to the price of silver bullion. In the UK in 2012 I bought 32 kilo bars of silver at around £19 per ounce, shortly rose to £28 per ounce, expected to go to £50 per ounce, then suddenly dived to £9 per ounce?????? Huh???? What happened? Today it's now back to £19 per ounce. Luckily I bought a large amount gold bullion in 2012 at £900 per ounce and it's now £1,600 per ounce.
When silver reaches a certain price point (roughly $40 US), recycling kicks in big-time. Countries like India that have a lot of silver per capita slam the market down... and hard. While there is some gold recycling, it's nowhere near the amount silver sees. And most people who own gold are of a different socio-economic class. They don't need the quick cash for the most part.

that's why 80/20 or 70/30 gold/silver is not a bad idea... also DCA over a long period of time will help get a nice avg cost... also don't think of it as investment at all but a hedge against bank runs
Met a lady back in 2015 who had bought silver and got disgusted with it. I bought her zip-lock bags of Mercury dimes and Washington quarters. People, as you point out, tend to chase the highs and sell the lows. Weak hand selling. Just keep it real with the stack size, tell yourself that it's your savings and wealth protection, it will all be fine. PS I don't consider IGR bars "generics".

I agree; the price of silver is a giant disappointment. I think the price is depressed because a lot of people put their cash in crypto. But with most gold coins weighing in at one ounce, it will be difficult to buy a loaf of bread with one.

I feel like this may be a sentiment primarily for people who don't buy low, don't cost-average buy, or think it's a way to make a quick buck. It's WEALTH PRESERVATION (esp. for those of us who can't afford gold or platinum out the gate). My take anyway.

Silver moves around a lot, but we have seen silver move up 40% in a few weeks multiple times in the last few years. So yes, you do have to buy low and there are plenty of opportunities in both directions with silver. Gold is at its all-time high, and remember a couple years ago when the gold the silver ratio was 125 to one and then it went down to 65 to one, right now it is not the time to be buying gold.

In 1989, I bought up all the silver Maples I could find while on vacation in Canada. Hundreds of ém. At around $5 US per ounce. You can buy them for roughly $28 today. Sell them you get MAYBE $23... A while back I traded them in (along with most of my silver) for gold. That's up there in the Top Five smartest things I've done in my 65 years of living... I know where you're coming from!

You sound like you have a great mind for stacking especially with the experience of purchasing back in 2011 that knowledge is valuable I started stacking in 2019 around 16 an ounce and was lucky to get into it at that time had a great year of stacking before things went hey wire not to sure if I would of had the stomach to keep going if I would of started in 2011 and watch it loose all it’s gains .
I believe it’s a good time to buy silver especially with the premiums as low as they are , gold on the other hand I’ve never lost a cent on it so I’ll continue to purchase gold on the dips even at these high prices.

As you where talking in the beginning, I was like-no way, not buying it, lol! The frustration over silver is everywhere and I get it. Like you talked about- long term hold but also an insurance policy against the dollar. I have done way better on gold tho, no doubt gold has worked out nicely so far.
Cool video Savage! I couldn't imagine to sell at that price range, knowing what I paid for it in the past... Thats crazy, too big of a difference. Wait for it to go up and hold on to it... Unless you absolutely NEED IT I guess.. Even then I'd probably would try to get the cash instead of selling my stack. Dont want to loose that much 😮
I have been in silver for 1 year, already averaged a 16% profit on all sold items. Making money on silver short term and long term is the easiest money I've ever made. Just buy close to spot, know what the premium should be on the item and flip it if you need money.
Thanks for letting us know your thoughts on silver. I had to sell 2 oz of gold last year to bring my emergency savings back up. I spent some money on a vinyl fence, maple tree removal, and aligners for my teeth. I bought two 1/4 oz AGEs this year so far but I am considering buying silver if prices and premiums continue to decline.
I feel exactly how you feel. I was adictwd to knives and Flashlights . And came back to Silver and gold and feel so much better that instead of other hobbies i had that did no really give much back I can feel good in my Silver and now really moving more towards Gold.
I have always heard that there are numerous silver mines that close down if silver gets to low because it's not cost effective
Last week I traded a gold Buffalo ounce for 10 Silver Eagles,10 Silver Maples and 75 Silver rounds.The eagles and maples were in circulated condition though.Thats 95 Ounces of silver for one ounce gold buffalo!Let's see what the values are in 6 months?

God operates on his time. I buy Silver as a reserve for "Just in case" and it's fun. I have no plans of selling it or to stop buying it. I see this as a buying opportunity. I never bought it expecting a profit.

Sound is definitely on point. Good decision to upgrade. I’m buying silver when I have extra money. Sometimes it’s frustrating at times to see the price go down and premiums go up. I can tell you this, I’ll be selling in 15 years. Probably about 1/2 anyway. I want to enjoy some extra travel in retirement. 😊

I stack to save too. And as a hedge against collapse and as a possible money multiplier. But mostly to save. I buy heavy in the first quarter ( unless it;s over what I think is it's true value ( about 22.50 right now ) and then I buy on a budget each month unless I see a dip. Usually, I go for 10oz barz. If It spikes, I pull back and buy a $50 1oz collectible coin or two. Collectibles are not affected as much or at all by spot price. I'm watching to see if I can catch silver high and gold low, and then I'll go for a 1/4oz of gold. Never buy 1/10oz for stacking.

Yeah I played that GSR all last year and went way way to heavy on silver that’s my reasoning on needing a bit more gold this year I try to keep the stack at 50/50 in value but it’s up to 75/25 it’s just one of my things I do . Majority of solar panels use 3/4ths of an ounce per panel. This silver is almost unrecoverable as recycling.
Is that for a 100 watt panel? I’ve Hurd so many different amounts but never really actually looked it up .
It’s the premiums that are pissing me off...I bought at tube of maples in February before Covid and since then have only added about another 10 Oz....mostly due to premiums I’ve been waiting and still am for premiums to get lower.

Yeah I’m kind of in the same boat right now holding off on gold and buying up silver at an alarming rate. Took a break this week just to see where silver goes from here but honestly I’m thinking it’s going to go up . Lots of uncertainty out there right now I’m seeing tons of people taking large sums of cash out of the bank every time I go down there a week ago on a Thursday of all days there where lines out the door with people getting out cash I actually left and came back at 4pm to see if it was less busy and nope still a huge line 3 hours later this went on all last week so the uncertainty is real I keep watching multiple different financial news outlets to see what people may be digesting came up with a few different things but no solid answer news of the fed pivoting , geopolitical issues dollar pulling back , housing market interest rates still going up so my guess it’s a mix of multiple issues. But bitcoin gold silver are reacting like crazy . I’m always interested in seeing what comes next and my outlook is stay prepared scatter wealth in multiple places and gather as much information as one can. hopefully we don’t get priced out of gold and silver waiting for a pullback while at the same time not having FOMO and buying at the top . Funny times we live in these days

I own a heating and cooling company....& I'm a silver stacker....I buy a lot of silver brazing rods....@ $56.00 per pound....if silver shoots the moon...this will raise the prices forcing me to charge my customers more for the Installation of a condensing unit. Then we will be complaining about Service companies charging us to much for A/C installations....MANNNN 😂😂😂😂.

Don't understand what happened to the price of silver bullion. In the UK in 2012 I bought 32 kilo bars of silver at around £19 per ounce, shortly rose to £28 per ounce, expected to go to £50 per ounce, then suddenly dived to £9 per ounce?????? Huh???? What happened? Today it's now back to £19 per ounce. Luckily I bought a large amount gold bullion in 2012 at £900 per ounce and it's now £1,600 per ounce.
When silver reaches a certain price point (roughly $40 US), recycling kicks in big-time. Countries like India that have a lot of silver per capita slam the market down... and hard. While there is some gold recycling, it's nowhere near the amount silver sees. And most people who own gold are of a different socio-economic class. They don't need the quick cash for the most part.
I’ll keep stacking silver but will be adding more 1/4iz gold coins too. Hero bullion has a 1/4oz 2023 British gold standard coin at $533!

that's why 80/20 or 70/30 gold/silver is not a bad idea... also DCA over a long period of time will help get a nice avg cost... also don't think of it as investment at all but a hedge against bank runs
Met a lady back in 2015 who had bought silver and got disgusted with it. I bought her zip-lock bags of Mercury dimes and Washington quarters. People, as you point out, tend to chase the highs and sell the lows. Weak hand selling. Just keep it real with the stack size, tell yourself that it's your savings and wealth protection, it will all be fine. PS I don't consider IGR bars "generics".

Silver moves around a lot, but we have seen silver move up 40% in a few weeks multiple times in the last few years. So yes, you do have to buy low and there are plenty of opportunities in both directions with silver. Gold is at its all-time high, and remember a couple years ago when the gold the silver ratio was 125 to one and then it went down to 65 to one, right now it is not the time to be buying gold.
Looks the silver price performance annual change is gonna be negative this year. Almost 5% drop so far. Might be a 10% drop this year.

In 1989, I bought up all the silver Maples I could find while on vacation in Canada. Hundreds of ém. At around $5 US per ounce. You can buy them for roughly $28 today. Sell them you get MAYBE $23... A while back I traded them in (along with most of my silver) for gold. That's up there in the Top Five smartest things I've done in my 65 years of living... I know where you're coming from!
