I got an olive wood joker. Wife said it is the most beautiful wiid she had ever seen. After I smoothed and polished and boiled linseed oiled. Rough basic knives are TOO MUCH FUNNNNNNN! For retired maintenance guys! I may have to revisit my peasant roots once again!!!
Walking stick looks good! I have a red mini, and like it for a garden knife - except for the carbon blade. I tend to drop it in the wet, and am spoiled by stainless steel. I like using such a simple knife. No walk and talk, though. Lol. I like the plastic handle, too - so light! Jolly Peanut talked me into trying one.
They are a nice simple knife. I really like the mini.. ..the walking stick...yeah gonna take some time...lol. but persistance pays. Stay well my friend be safe
Nice-looking stick George :) The Peasant knives are cool, had mine a few years. The Mini is my favourite, mine is orange. Great steel. Up the Peasants! :D
Hey George Im still using my Buck Spit fire mini, its the bright green color. Any way you had yours on a video a few years ago and I really liked it so I got one. There was one point when you said you lost yours, I think a few weeks. Then a guy a work found yours and you were happy. Stay safe, cheers 😊
Aloha George! Stumbled across your channel a few weeks ago and have been picking and choosing some of your videos to watch as I am just a novice when it comes to knives. I am very interested in the knives made around the world and of course the lower end, cheaper ones, so anything that fit's those two criteria's, it's on my short list of purchases. The mini Svord Peasant certainly looks interesting and for sure will be one of my next purchases. BTW, I was just as intrigued by your numerous SPAM attire - any story behind that? Mahalo from Kauai, Hawaii. Thomas
Lol...long story truth be told. Basically before I moved to MN. I used come up a couple times a year and go camping with my friend Travis and family. One time they took me to the Spam museum in Austin mn. I bought the hat and 2 T shirts. They thought it was funny and every time I came up they had a different T shirt for me...thats how it started.. and so I wear em and renew yearly. Just a thing and now people expect it on the channel...thats the basics, so now you k ow the story. Appriciate the support. I am no expert just a knife guy....I learn every time I get a knife. Stay safe
@@2ndchancegeorge Aloha George! Thanks for the explanation of the numerous SPAM clothing and headwear you are sporting. Of course, Hawaii is known as the SPAM capital, so that is why my interest was peaked. Thanks again for the prompt reply and looking forward to more of your knife related content. Mahalo, Thomas
Thanks for sharing. Fyi, I have seen other folks open one-handed via holding with the pointing up, and using your fingers to push the handle down (blade stays still relative to your hand).
Huh...you right. I can also do one handed tip down and using my thumb to lift the blade. Love these knives. Going to add wood handle now to big un. Already did a mod to little guy. Wood angles and put the pivot on small side...lol. something different. Fun knives to have. Thanks for watching always appriciated. Stay safe
@@2ndchancegeorge cool. i ordered a woo mini peasant last week...my current edc is a Opinel no. 7 carbon, that i modified a bit to make it more friendly for my 6 yr old. ground the edge back, near the handle, in case a hand slides there, and also rounded the tip, so it's not stabby. Love that it's small and light, easy to sharpen, and slices so nicely. But want something to open one handed....my only concern with the svord is the metal lever poking out - how that will be in my pockets.
I don't find the "tang" thing a problem with the mini. A little big with the regular. Like the idea of the opinal mods. I justbboughtvthe set for kids for a family friend son. Wants to learn knivescetc. The don't come with the point. Thanks again for your support. Always appriciated. Be safe.
I'll get one of these someday. I've been eyeballin the wood handled version . Always wondered about the hole at the end of the tang. You really couldn't run a lanyard through it and why would you want to? Maybe just decorative? You mentioned Australia. I think down there they call 'em forks! Great vid
Does tip of this knife, touch metal when you close it? There is that brass screw, i want to know if blade touch it when it is closed. Thank you for your answer.
Thankyou for watching. I just checked them and neither of them touch the brass screw. There is a pin located inside the handle which stops the blade in place. ( see my modification videos on them. I made wood handles and you can see what I am talking about.). Some reviews I saw said the blade was hitting metal. But mine did not. Hope this helps. Be safe
Thank you sir for your answer! You are nice and kind, i respect your behaviour. Today i watch first time of your channel and i order your channel. I think many times about buying this knife and i think on going to buy it now.
On Svord's website they list 15N20 as the steel used. A great steel for a knife of this price.
Wow...did not see that. Thankyou. Yep very well priced. Thanks for watching always appriciated.

Interesting knife. The Roman's used it as a necker did they?
Maybe. It seemed a little big. May be they had smaller ones like the mini. Thanks for stopping by.
