About this game:
Wizard of Legend is a fast paced dungeon crawler with rogue-like elements that emphasizes dynamic magical combat. Quick movement and even quicker use of spells will allow you to chain spells together to unleash devastating combinations against your enemies!
The blue bar charges your super signature arcana. When its full and you have like the matrix effect going on that means you have a certain amount of time to use it.

Some Basic tips:
Your “mana bar“ is your signature bar, as soon as its full your signature gets way stronger and you start flashing until you use it!
You can't fall down from edges, only get pushed or you dash down!
When the bosses have a yellow “shield“ they can't get stunned, wait until its off!

- The blue bar is your combo meter, consecutive attacks charge it up and empower your signature arcana (you get a white aura around you when its fully charged)
- The boss spawns more enemies the more enemies are remaining on the floor, the three skulls on the bottom on your minimap and the skulls on the boss tombstone thing represent how many enemies are left on the floor
-NPCs that take your arcana will take a random arcana, but they will never take your basic, dash or signature arcana
- A boss can be stunned once the yellow Aura around them goes away, usually after they do an attack
- You can't drop cursed relics
-Certain arcanas block projectiles (Fire wall or the thunder dashes for example)
The blue bar is like a battery that charges by doing damage. When it is fully charged your Q ability does a extra stuff.

SuperSymn the thing that killed off flinthook was that the runs were like 3 hours long and dying after putting that much time into them became too frustrating to deal with

But this game is enjoyable unlike tumbleseed
One helpful thing for dashing over gaps, you can't walk off the closest side of the gap, so keep walking until you stop then dash to make sure you make it to the other side.
People say this game doesn't have enough variety and that may be true if you're a min/maxer but I'm having a great time just trying different spell combinations. Hope you keep the series going NL
hey NL if you still dont know, you have to hit the boss when they stop glowing so it stuns for little time, and the blue bar is the signature arcana charging, it charges with every spell hit but not the signature one, it goes down if you stop hitting so its not a exactaly waste when you use because if you dont use you'll have to charge it again
Ah wow. I watched episode 1, dropped the series instantly, became the Wizard of Legend, and came back to watch. Looking forward to NL’s attempts and journey towards legend.
NL, your blue bar is pretty much your ultimate buildup, also: the skulls from enemies indicate strength of the boss; the more skulls are left, the more minions the boss spawns
NL there's a staring combo I really enjoy playing and maybe later on when you get the chance you might wanna try out.
I call the setup "Comfort zone":
step 1: healing synergy
-awe (yellow robes) (increased crit chance and crit damage)
-vampire's goggles (healing from crits)
step 2: AoE damage
-Air spinner basic (3 attack whirlwind combo)
-Cardice prime (floating ice blades around you)
-Volt pinball signature (floating lightning balls that surround you and bounce to enemies when hitting someone with it)
When it comes to dash, choose whatever suits you. I roll with Wave front that creates a brief water shield and knock enemies back in the dash directon.
Really fun, tons of healing, the aura of death you make every 6 seconds lets you kite enemies by letting you damage (and stun) them constantly without even using your basic (nice added bonus damage from basics tho).
So I suggest you try it and have fun with it when you have the necessary components. ;)

The mana bar is your "combo" bar. As you combo stuff together, it fills. When you are not combo-ing, it decays. When it is full, using your signature instead activates the enhanced version. Your character will have afterimages and a white glow when your combo bar is full.
Did anyone else notice during the boss fight when the boss got stunned the amount of stars that circled her head decreased each time they made a revolution around her head? Is that an indication for how many seconds she was stunned for? 15:42-15:48
a few things Egg:
- the blue bar is charged by dealing damage with spells, when it's full your signature arcana's cooldown is reset and its next use will be the strong version (e.g. the triple-wave for the icewave you used)
- the more enemies you kill on the floor the less adds will spawn with the boss of the floor
- when a boss has a yellow outline you won't stun him; they will loose it after performing their attack/combo on the later floors, at which point they will remain stunned until you stop comboing them
Jep, this one is fun to watch, looking forward to all the different relics and crazy combos in the game.
NL, I've played and noticed, when you fight the boss and have not killed all the enemies on the floor, boss spawns about 5 more minions, but if you have killed all enemies of the floor, boss only spawns 2 minions and are easier to handle!
When the boss turns from yellow to grey, if you hit them they are stunned. Once the blue bar gets to the end, your signature does its whole ultimate deal and resets cooldown.
The "mana" bar at the top left keeps track of your signature moves big attack, once it is full it starts to drain fast until you can use it again
I'm sure other people have already noticed but that "mana bar" that you are referring to is your ultimate gauge. once its filled up and flashing you'll use your stronger variation of the spell you cast. I'm posting this at the 6:05 mark of the video so if the egg noticed this himself later on then oh well :p have a great night whoever is reading this

Northern. The more you do combos, the more that meter builds up. When you start glowing, you release your signature move that you've selected before you start the level.
Btw, about bosses and mini bosses, body is glowing yellow means its immune to stun or your attacks wont stun, when it is not yellow, you can stun them. there's a brief period where you can stun them after a couple of moves. You can stun the first boss after the 3rd attack.
The mana bar is the charge for your signature spell. You know how sometimes you use the signature and it does a huge attack, that's what happens when the bar is filled, then you have a certain amout of time to use the signature and get the big attack before the bar drains back to nothing.
I genuinely really like watching you play this it's always very refreshing to see you take up a new series along with your long-running ones so I applaud you for your hard work kind sir
the mana bar is brought up when you do damage, one full your signature spell is boosted if you use it while you're still glowing
The mana bar is for when you chain attacks enough to enhance your signature move. So when the bar fills up and you have the trail of your character active, doing your signature will make it enhanced, like the move you did on that first boss fight
When the blue bar is full it makes your signature do the super powered thing
If you keep attacking enemies, you charge that blue bar. When charged you gain a white outline and a matrix like effect. This "super charges" your signature arcana. Makes it pretty powerful.

The blue bar is for your signature arcana, if you fully fill it, you can use your empowered signature arcana for a short while
NL, when the boss/miniboss has a yellow outline it means they won't flinch from hits. Bosses will do 3/4/5 attacks before letting their guard down depending on how many you've already beaten this run. Learn the patterns, dodge the attacks and close in after their last one to damage them :)
By the way, you can go back and forth from your home base to the shops at the beginning of the game and it will refresh the arcana and relics. So if you want a new dash or a better basic you can just keep going back and then return to where the shops are to get better spells
The mana bar is for charging up your ultimate signature arcana and once its full it will go down to zero and it resets in between fights unless u have the rocket relic which is a really good relic for beginners
The mana bar is your signature bar, the more you use your arcana to attack enemies the more it fills up. When it reaches max you can use a buffed up version of your signature arcana, but it does decay over time so you only have a limited amount of time to use it.
That mana bar is like a charge meter that builds as you combo skills and decays after a short time. When filled it will start to flash, once that happens your signature arcana will become the powered up form. It's kind of like a big combo finisher if you can pull it off.

Hey Nl, I've got a few tips for ya:
First of all, you cant walk off edges, you can only dash in them. Second of all the non standard cloaks are really good and have some additional effects. Lastly, you can exchange 20 chaos gems for 200 gold in the hub, this gives the run a powerful boost.
I don't know if this has been already told to you, but you only fall into pits if something pushes you in (including your own movement skills and otherwise.) Which means that you can run against the edges without worrying. That makes dashing over them much easier!
I actually like the mirror shield. It reflects one projectile away from you every time your sheild bubble around you regens
The blur bar is your empowered arcana, attacks of any kind fill it, it drains slowly when you haven't hit anything for a bit, once it fills up it starts blinking, now you can use the upgraded signature attack, the triple wave in the case of 6:40
It starts draining after a short time even when blinking, I assume you lose the bonus if you let it drain all the way before activating your ability.

The blue mana bar thing is the super bar, the more you use arcana the more it fills up until you completely fill it it will start to pulse if you use your signature arcana than it will use a powered up version of it.
Once the blue bar is all charged up from dealing damage it allows you to cast a super charged version of a spell
The skulls represent how difficult the boss fight will be. 3 skulls will have way more minions spawn during the boss fight.

The bosses get stunned after they attack when the gold aura around them disappears. You should save your fastest spell for when that aura disappears.

I was playing some of this earlier and I got the Earth barrier spell (the one that summons a ring of shields around you) and I was able to absolutely body the sub bosses with my lightning basic because it had a barely larger range than the radius of the shields.
The blue ("mana") bar fills as you attack enemies over and over. It will decay over time, but when it completely fills up you can use your empowered signature arcana (ex. the ice wave you used in this video shoots out multiple waves instead of just one). Trinkets can affect the fill/decay rate and power of your blue bar and signature arcana.

NL, PLEASE finally understand that bosses are only stunable AFTER they attacked. Basically, BOSS GLOWING = DO NOT ATTACK. BOSS NOT GLOWING = GOGOGO

NL, you want to strike when the boss loses their yellow glow, that's a guaranteed stun.

If you can find one, get the toy rocket, (Worth buying it from the shops at the start so you can equip from start) it will make it so your blue arcana bar doesn't degrade, this will make your signature arcana available way more often instead of having to make awesome combos all the time. It can definitely help early game progression :)
In case you haven't figured it out yet, enemies have super armor which prevents stuns shown by the glowing outline. You really should only attack when it's gone to stun then and give em the business. And pay attention to the stars over their head as it shows the duration of the stun (so at 1 star gtfo).

Currently running with an electric style build, the arc lance thing, electric basic with a little more range and a shock nova, great fun aswell!

welp, I wonder how many episodes is gonna take for him to notice that a boss can only be stunned when you attack him when he finishes his attacks and thus looses the yellow aura

The bosses fight like benders from Avatar. I love it.
The Blue bar charges as you deal damage. When it's full, Your outline will start blinking white and you gain this Afterimage visual effect. When this happens, your Signature arcana is buffed to something even grater, but only for a single use. Basically your ultimate move
It seems unless you have a Relic like that Rocket you picked up in epsidoe 1, it will slowly decrease over time while not in combat, so ideally, you'd want to keep the combos going as long as possible to build the thing up quicker
NL you can't walk off the edge, don't be afraid of pressing space at the last possible moment so you don't fall down during the dodge
When the bar is filled you can use your super big move the bar is filled by hitting enemies
that blue bar fills up when you hit stuff, when its full, using your signature spell will give you the extra effect, like what happened when you were fighting the first boss. the ice thing was much bigger and more effective because you let the bar fully charge before using your spell.. you kinda have a bad habit if just spamming away so that why you dont see those big signature blasts alot.
NL keeps the hits coming. He's draining my Steam Wallet, but I have tons of games to play now: Slay the Spire, Dead Cells, and Wizard of Legend.
You probably know by now, but when the meter fills up you can use your signature arcana for a more powerful effect.

Picked this up yesterday, nearly completed it in my first 3 hours. Agree with everyone when it needs a bit more variety. I reckon a cool addition would be an actual war to beat some badass when you beat the wizard trial :D

Egy boi, when the mana bar fills up you can do you ,,ultimate,,
@northernlion you should really go to the top right past the arcana shop and buy some new cloaks, they’re 75 gems apiece and give you passive bonuses based on which cloak you choose to start your run with. Just like arcana and relics, you keep them forever once you buy them and can choose which one you take into each run.

Ryan's lack of knowledge over obvious things is truly baffling to me. You can see the blue bar charging up as you attack, what makes you think it's a "mana bar" that goes down as you don't attack? AAAAH IT'S SO FRUSTRATING

ydalglus the deal with the devil in this game is that red hooded merchant that sells cursed relics . There is dark magic in this game and it is unlocked after beating the final boss its really cool too
the way this game showcases the elements makes me think that it would have been a great Avatar game, had C99 been able to afford that kind of licensing. looks like a great game otherwise. i'm definitely going to buy this.

The bar fills up by hitting Enemys fast consequtive. It gives a better signayure
Lion from North, you need to have 4 different elements of arcana at the start, the best one in my opinion is electric, also if you find arcanas called agents you want to grab them. The blue bar is you ultimate bar, if you combo a lot then you get the blue and at maximum you can use your ultimate. you alweys want to at least reveal all shops (green, purple and red). Last but not least, Bosses have auras around them, they dissapear for some time after attacks, if you strike them without aura they get stunned and recive bonus dmg. Sorry for bad England, hope it helps. Game is fun and we want more.

I think this is a very very good game because the mechanics imo are tight and refined as hell. Every single spell imo is a viable option and just the sheer number of them can make every run a little different. The levels and enemies scale in difficulty in a good way (ex: enemies can learn to dash behind you in area 2). It just feels like there’s nothing wasted, everything is implemented well. The visuals I guess could be considered a little bland, especially the lighting, but I think that kind of helps with trying to find yourself on screen and track enemy attacks and movements and stuff. Lol this was really long, so yea I hope this is like a 100 part series
The overpriced life insurance gave you 26.67% healing on the first floor (only 8 hp) and 26.32% healing on the second floor (15 hp healed). Compared to the potion that is abysmal since that heals 175% per coin. That means 556% more healing per coin from the flask, but you only seem to get a single flask per floor so...
