First I congratulate you on a series of great informative videos.
I built a Rans S-19 Venterra powered by a JABIRU, 3300L. I had similar issues with overheating on warm days, and I could bring the temperatures back down by adding carburetor heat. And also ran cooler at full throttle since I was burning almost 9 gallons per hour. recommends adjusting the carburetor jets to aid temperature control. I also have high oil temperatures during the summer. My engine has an oil cooler but another friend indicated he lowered temperatures by 15° by drilling 1 inch hole in the bottom half of the cowling in front of the lower part of the engine. This cool air to flow over the oil pan. Jabiru is currently selling their GEN 4 engine which solves a lot of the issues I have with my GEN 2 engine. I have to check the tension on 36 cylinder head bolts every 25 hours.

I’ve flown behind, and owned both. I’ll take the Jabiru every time.

You missed the chance to show the Jabiru against a 80hp Rotax. Why compare a 100hp Rotax!!

I suspect because the aircraft came equipped with a 100 hp Rotax.

A friend in Australia hates jabiru with a burning passion. His advice to me if I got a job Brew powered airplane that I should really practice my engine outs and off filed landings. I REALLY want a quasar, they go for decently cheap here in the States of you can find one.

They are not cheap down here at the plane's motherland… buy one! 😃

You need to find another friend. Friends don’t let friends fly with Rotax engines.
