- There are a ton of big time quarterbacks headed to the 2024 NFL draft, but none may be as big of a deal as Joe Milton when it comes to arm talent. After a whirlwind career at Michigan, Joe settled on Tennessee and saved his career. Now he is a boom or bust type draft prospect who could be the steal of the draft if properly developed by the New England Patriots. Today, let's talk about Joe, his rise and what we can maybe expect, enjoy!

Sorry about some of the audio issues, should be resolved for every other video. Who should I do next?
Audio sounds good to me haven't been having any issues.
Drake Maye
The next big qbs to watch this upcoming cfb season. While taking into account the playoff games this past season, before we overate ewers
What if he actually outperforms maye 😢
Best value 😂 Spencer rattler 5th Rd biggest steal of draft
As a patriots fan I hope he succeeds.
If he succeeds in NE it means they Busted on Maye. And if they bust on Maye they whole regime is gonna get reset again most likely lol.
Pats fan here... I wanted 2 QBs in this draft.
Drake Maye - I love the pick
Joe Milton III - I love the pick
I am thrilled they got two quarterbacks.
I just hope he's able to be in a position to chase rabbits on occassion to help keep him connected to his roots, and also nurture the inner neighborhood cat abilities that many detractors seem to think he doesn't possess.
@@giustinoscalise3177 Is that a compliment?
You tell me@@Club420
Kind of hilarious side fact, New England picked Joe Milton with the draft pick they acquired for trading Mac Jones....😅
They probably wanted to honor it by taking a guy with a cannon compared to Jones' peashooter😂
Cannon vs Noodle arm
@@jcore0981they mishandled Mac. Bill didn’t want some kid to come in and be seen as the savior of the team and the reason they succeeded. Bill focused on defense, and after Brady left and got a ring the very next season, Bill wanted to show he could do it with a skeleton crew. He wanted to show that “he was the driving factor and primary sole responsible for a twenty year tear of dominance. Brady essentially went to the superbowl every other year of his nfl career.
10 appearances in 22 seasons?
Mac Jones never even chased a rabbit in his life. Not once.

Pats fan here....Happy with this 2024 QB room and top notch arm talent....Maye,Milton and Brissett to mentor them.
I really enjoy all of your content! Thank you so much for all of the entertainment!
If you need 70 yards, Joe Milton can throw it 70 yards
If you need 20 yards, Joe Milton can throw it 70 yeads 😂
Joe Milton is a beast! I'm glad we grabbed him. This could be that guy that comes out of nowhere and ends up better than the top QB'S drafted. Let's not forget the greatest QB to ever play the game was a 6th rounder.
😂 Milton is trash jamarcus Russell -2.0 😂
😂😂😂Milton can run a simple system at Rocky Flop ! No way he’s a NFL QB
@@samright4661 You might be right but the physical talent is there. If they can coach up the thought process he could be pretty good. They have time he's a late pick.
@@dwayneroberts6616 You can’t fix stupid
@@dwayneroberts6616dude had half a decade of college and still wasn’t all that.
He is 6’5 and 240lbs of soft
Situation- 3rd and 7, 4th quarter, down by 10. Scrambles, runs towards the markers, cornerback comes up, he runs out of bounds 2 yards short.
Can throw it 80 yards, too bad his receivers are 50 yard’s downfield. Bust at best
It was Spencer Rattler, and then Jordan Travis and then Joe Milton
speaking of milton, you should check into Kendall Milton, he is a undrafted free agent pickup for the philadelphia Eagles, he was a #2 rb in the national coming out of highschool and went the georgia, became a good #2 but fell at the combine, i played him in highschool people called him a 1st round draft pick since he was in youth football
I'm gonna say "Practice Squad" for year 1. Third QB for year 2. Primary back up for year 3. Starter somewhere for year 4. Depends on how Drake pans out, if it's in NE...
Joe Milton has a serious cannon of an arm, hope he balls out in New England!
@@EGuala21did he say that 😭
The Colts should have picked him.
Go Joe. I love this pick and his undrafted Tight End from Tennessee. I'm excited kinda.
Joe Milton. Future XFL player
He can probably chuck up a Hail Mary from the 25 yard line and be used in certain packages tailored to his skill set.
I don't know if you heard, but one of his childhood hobbies was chasing rabbits, definitely a fact worth mentioning when trying to validate a player. Edelman as youngster, opted to skip after wallaby's in his native parts unknown, played QB and he turned out to be a legendary QB in the NFL for that one throw.
I'd love to see him be more of a utility/gadget/athlete than a pure QB. He'd be a menace as a run/pass/catch threat.
Probably the first and last time I ever hear about this dude.
I really think its a great pick for New England. With good coaching this could be another solid weapon for the Patriots. I think you are right on this one. This will go down as one of the steals of the draft if he gets a chance to be well coached and play sometimes.
Michigan man here and a pats fan. Guys the same player he was in HS
I am sorry to say.. Joe Milton was drafted by the Patriots to replicate Josh Allen on the Scout team. I got nothing but love for the kid and believe he got drafted to the right team to put him in the best situation to succeed in LIFE.
That be yall problem. instead of evaluating the qbs & seeing who gives the best chance to win, yall calling him a backup like the patriots actually do a good job scouting qbs. They only had 1 good qb in 25 yrs.
@@EGuala21
Opinions are like Aholes, everyone's got one.......well some people have 2 apparently
@@EGuala21 The Patriots organization has changed, There's a new head coach and a bunch of new coaches on both sides of the ball. Joe Milton is 24.. He has Elite arm strength and a good physical profile but he struggles mightily with accuracy, reading defenses and going through his progression, That's why he was available in the 6th round. He tore a tendon in his thumb during college so that could be an issue long-term with his accuracy. I hope he has a great career and develops into the best version of himself.
@@castleofall867 Tom Brady was also available in the 6th round. You sound crazy what you smoking on?
@@EGuala21 Your right.. How many NFL QBs have been taken in the 6th round and became NFL starters? Tell me why you think he got drafted so late and why you believe he's going to be better than Drake Maye.
The tree QB’s will be Jacoby,Maye and Milton.
Big arm, but no idea where it's going
Lmao
As a Patriot's fan, I am equally excited about Joe Milton III as I am about Drake Maye. His arm is incredible. If their new coaches can teach him what he needs to learn in order to succeed then the sky is the limit for him.
I could legitimately see Joe end up playing WR or Tight End. Dude is a physical athlete
He already said that's not going to happen
@@Dacdac839early on he said that but they haven’t went to training camp yet if the job is non comparable then he needs to do what he needs to do to get on the field
@@lazy2708 did you see his answer? He was offended they'd even ask him to switch. He literally said "that will never happen"
@@Dacdac839 I did not, thanks I haven’t gotten around to Milton been studying Baker Polk and Maye
That’s interesting I don’t mind it but he might be a backup for awhile I’d love him as our potential backup over Bailey zappe tho he gotta go
A little bigger Slot receiver like Could be another conversion like Julian elderman
Also got benched twice in the story while a starter
There's a lot of potential scenarios for Milton. At least, he's Josh Allen on the scout team. At most, he's Plan B. In the middle, solid future backup. Good pick, good insurance policy. Low risk, high reward potential.
I hope he can be coached up right he's got the perfect raw talent and as a volunteers fan I will always root for him.
I think Drake is ultimately the franchise QB in New England. He is a young Dual Threat who has Generational Talent. But Milton is much better than people say he is. Most people say that he will never be more than a camp QB/ Scout team guy. But I think he could be a good Backup and a Bridge Starter over time in the NFL. Just needs a lot of work to develop his craft. I also hope that the pats just dont give up on this young man. He will be a good backup for us when he is a pats qb but he could be a solid bridge starter with his abilities. Similar upside to Bo Nix who was drafted in the first rd smh
I love this pick. A steal in the late rounds a win win for the Pats
QBs with strong arms but sub-par accuracy require (1) multiple speedy receivers who can get wide open on deep routes and (2) stout O-lines to give deep-ball plays time to develop. Unfortunately, the Patriots currently lack both of those. Milton is better suited to be Caleb William’s backup on a Chicago squad that has both.
Gonna be really tough. He's raw and gonna need a year or 2 to adjust to the speed of the NFL.
I didn't see him much when he was at Tennessee. I know at Michigan he was only able to throw that fast ball with no Arch it and just never looked good. He could keep developing, never know
As a UT fan, the guy has all of the physical tool but he can’t process the game for sh*t. I don’t see that improving at the NFL level where the game is even faster.
This guy had the strongest arm in the combine he’s got skill
Great reporting on a really good guy who’s an average college QB. His best shot at playing professional football is the UFL. Don’t knock it, it’s pro football and he can get paid for playing the sport.
Honestly, I hope he transitions to TE. He has the best attributes since Ben Coates and he doesn't even need to learn to block....Kelce can't. And TE is honestly the third most important position in offense to QB and blind side Tackle. But if they stick to QB, I hope the Pats have the pieces in place to help him develop. Already worried about Maye in this regard
They don't have to wait to use him. Design ( I wouldn't call them trick plays) plays to fool teams of what he's going to do. Like, they put him in as Quarterback for just one short yardage play. And he runs it. That's it for the day. Next game is the same thing. Carbon Copy. Maybe one more game like that. All teams see this. They are ready next time. But this time he has huge protection to the right. And lobes it to the opposite end zone corner. Where are fastest Wide Receiver Catches it for the touchdown. Next time he's the receiver. Think outside the box.
Ah yes Hendon Hooker, we haven’t even seen him in the NFL :(
Top 5 in nfl arm strength is crazy there’s no way we have 2 top 5 arm strength already I can’t believe that 😭 maybe top 10 MAYBE
Milton needs great coaching for a year or two. Maye does as well. Both have issues. They need to be eased in to the starting linup. I would play them both 1 quarter per game this season.
After 5 years of college he is mid at best
Would run out of bounds instead of lowering the boom on corners. Throws into triple coverage
Throws it 80 yards downfield when his receiver is at 50 yards
Too much velocity in a lot of his passes.
He has had moments where he shined, especially vs Vandy, Eastern Tennessee, SC, and UCONN
Doesn’t make good decisions on the field.
I mean I understand he can throw a football like 100 mph but I think he's already 24 yrs old
Athlete yes, QB no. 5/6 yrs in college and 1 good yr. Now off to the Pats. They are going to develop him? He has had the time in college and didnt. Some of your takes are a little out there
People actually think he should start over Drake 😭
All QB drafts need to see Tom House asap. Jets waited 1 full year before sending Zach Wilson to Tom House.
I saw Joe throw during a spring game in Ann Arbor. No one in the NFL has a stronger arm.
Harrison then Milton would've made better sense to me. Given that Jacoby is being used as a bridge
Good luck to him, but I'm with a few of the Patriots Unfiltered guys, I'm not sure how helpful this is to Maye.
Dirt Cheap backup that can execute a particular offense they feel they'll be set up for. But dude grew up chasing rabbits as a hobby. I don't have his childhood stats on how many times he actually caught up to them or what he did when he maybe or maybe didn't catch up to them during those spring leagues. I do wonder tho if he ever did catch one or more, and if he did, was he satisfied with just being by it's side, or did he reach down and grab it and snap its neck. Only then to exclaim with screams of celebration, his superiority over the field rodents and neighborhood felines. The that made the video made mention that hobby contributes to his dark horse, x factor ability.
This is also the same HS that produced CJ2K, I know because they was our rivals lol
Pats had a huge armed qb who started with Michigan and transferred. Ryan Mallet #RIP
WHOOOO PIG SOOOOIE. RIP Razorback Legend. Arkansas Legend, Ryan Mallet.
This kid will put just enuff heat on Maye to keep him focused
Damn right. Throw some wild rabbits on the field with just the two of them and you'll see what's up on who can keep up with em. We'll see who the real best chaser of rodents is. I got 5 on it won't be Maye's day.
The Patriots just cut Nathan Rourke. So they now have three QBs on the roster: Maye, Milton and Zappe. I look at Milton as a good practice squad player for now and possibly some insurance in case Maye doesn't pan out.
But I do think Drake Maye will be a great QB for the Pats as long as they bring him along the right way. There's no reason to rush him out there if he's not ready and if the offensive line isn't good enough to protect him properly. The last thing the Patriots need is to get their franchise QB injured because they put him out there with an incompetent O-line.
I've been following Milton since his Michigan days! If developed correctly he'll start for the Patriots over Maye
Then why didn't he do better in college? SMH
Keep smoking them rocks
He was just average in college, despite having years to develop and perhaps the best physical traits in college footbal history. Don't get your hopes up, Pat fans!
Antwan Bolden played QB in college
Anquan
This could be another case of a terelle Pryor. I’m hoping for the best tho because he does have a lot of untapped potential.
N know one talking bout him I wouldn't be surprised if he shines
Milton couldn’t run the simple offense at Rocky Flop! No way he’s a NFL QB
While im glad my patriots drafted joe, i do think he deserves a starting role. Not gonna get it here
I don’t think he should start he needs to get his accuracy together and tighten up on his reads he is going to be elite in the NFL
Nathan Rourke is the best non-starter in NFL today.
I would think, as a patriot if he is willing there could be success for him, not just as a QB..
Edelman is an example!
Idk Jacoby Bresset, Bailey Zapp, Joe Milton, Drake Maye, only 2 will make the cut, I'm not sure Milton will actually make the squad, but who knows
I think they’ll keep 3 this year
Yes.@@Steven-lb4bl
Milton is the most talented QB NE has ever seen
He has all da tools to be playn in nfl ..... PERIOD. He would be a good back up for da pats 👍
Bro trust me if Joe could stop throwing bullets on a deep throw it and better mechanics because he balls up his fist every time he needs put it up like a arrow and trust he better than alot
Who expects Drake Maye to flop? If this is an "interesting situation" for Maye or Milton cannot be said because we know far too little about what the Pats offense will look like under new coach Mayo.
He's the same as Anthony Richardson
I know it probably isn't the reason, but New England drafting a sixth round QB is always going to feel like them trying to recreate the conditions that set up Tom Brady's career.
Pats didn’t need Milton & Maye 🤦🏿♀️ #NyG
I wished the saints got him
Just the way his pick was announced makes it feel like it’s gonna be in future edits
He could get a start although I keep hearing Tight End. However, New England drafted Tim Couch in round 1. I suspect they will roll with Brissett.
Black Brady
😂
We draft a solid prospect that we can develop so if drake goes down, but casuals want turn him into a TE. Some of yall really need to stop talking about sports, just watch the game.
I hope this kid succeeds, but his chances aren't too great with the Patriots. Their offense is dookie and they have zero elite skill players on that side of the ball to help developing QBs. Maybe that will change in the next couple years, however for now Milton and Maye are not set up for success in New England.
Milton can’t accurately throw a football.
Honestly, some of us in Patriot Nation wanted the Pats to trade the third pick and pick up Milton in the 2nd round or lower. Milton is the guy. Think this breaks perfectly for Milton because all the pressure is on Maye. If Maye is legit, he should be the starter coming out of training camp because he is the 3rd pick in the draft. If he doesn't start, that hurts him especially if Milton gets reps in training camp and shows he has the skills to play in the NFL. Quite frankly, I don't think Mayo cares which one it is. Mayo wants to win, needs to win, and so whoever gains his confidence by playing well in training camp will be the starting QB.
No absolutely nobody wanted that ☠️☠️☠️
Hah, like what are you talking about. Milton is the same size, has a cannon arm, is as athletic, played Alabama regularly not Campbell University and is doing well in Rookie Camp. Let's see how both Maye & Milton handle NFL defenses in camp and the pre season. I don't like Brissett. Belichick and his defenses have owned Brissett since he left New England. Hoping Mayo gives Zappe a full chance. I think he can pick up Van Pelt's system and be the bridge QB if neither Maye or Milton show they are ready to be the starting QB out of training camp like Mac Jones did his rookie season.
@@marclefebvre7071 you are genuinely lost if you think noodle arm who has already hit his ceiling Zappe is going to start

The moment I found out that he chased rabbits as a hobby in his youth, I was like you and thought, this guy is gonna impregnate many a female horse version of humanoid apes, and have strong possibility of having offspring that will carry genes to a Lombardi Trophy.
I hope the jets trade for him
He needs to lose about 10-15 lbs and be a WR
Joe will make a great TE/ special team guy
Raiders shouldve been all over this guy
Joe Milton is an old QB that has been terrible all his career in college. Who are you trying to fool?
He better then mac jones tho
He's the best chaser of rabbits we've ever seen in college football for sure. Mac Jones in college was a pathetic 28-2 and only completed 77% of his passes his senior year, with a pedestrian 4,500 yards and an embarassing 41 TDs. I mean, when you really look at how shitty he is in comparison to a guy that can chase rabbits like a son of a bitch, you really get a viewpoint of a person that evaluates players like yourself. As a Tennessee fan let me say....Joe Milton is absolute trash and has 0% chance of ever making it in the NFL. I'm so glad he is gone and it was definitely a wasted pick.

Easily the worst QB i've ever seen play college football. Couldn't hit the broadside of a barn. He made the super qb friendly Josh Heupel offense look bad.

You only say that because you've never actually seen him chase rabbits.
