I've been a WH40K fan since 1989 (back in my Uni days). I put the entire WH40K Universe up there with the likes of Star Wars for depth & world building. I had to wait over 30 years for action figures for this universe but man it was worth it. The quality for the price is good with these Joy Toy figures & I highly recommend the HUGE Invictor Tactical Warsuit + the upcoming Dreadnought battle suit ... bring on the Eldar, Orks, Tau & Necrons etc. It's a golden time for us WH40K fans !
It's good to see you come out of the 1/12 box and do some 1/18 stuff. I'm a 40K fan and have a couple of these sets. I am very impressed with these. It's good to see Warhammer 40k figures get some love on a non-40K platform.
Just picked up my first figure yesterday, one of the space wolves hunters, I’m so blown away. These guys are expensive but for the volume of figures and customisation, the value is there
true but honestly the 4 pack (at retail) is probably the best deal you can get on price per figure. With the 4 pack each figure rounds out to $25-30 each and most of the single releases (like the upcoming space wolf leaders) despite having just as many accessories, are around $45-59. Im just glad they came out with space wolves so quick. If they didn't I would have gotten some ultramarines and tried to convert them and probably wouldn't have looked half as good.
I bought some different intercessors from joytoy the other day and was skeptical of the quality. I watched one of your reviews on a master chief figure and really liked it. Glad I caught this review when it came out.
Get job as always! JoyToy are smashing it at the moment, I picked up a couple of 1/18 mechs and got a few of the Blood Angels squads and Dreadnought on order
Thank you for the comparison next to a McFarlane marine. Id love to get half a dozen of these 1/18 solely due to the scaling and display options, but the price... oof. McFarlanes are 1/4 the cost but they're HUGE which makes it hard to display most other off the shelf figures/monsters.
Those thrusters on backpacks is for operating in zero g. Great review! Got myself Brother Araclal (angry one). Awesome stuff. Only thing I don't like is the shoulder joint, but new figures (Reivers) got butterfly joints there. Im subscribed, glad you're having fun with these!
@@flightmedic7487 Nope, those are the calibration jets, you can check it out yourself on Warhammer Community, "The Anatomy of Power Armour" article from october 2016. Sorry, TH-cam deleted my previous comment with link.
I just custom painted a McFarlane blood angel .....made him a sgt of sixed company. I wish I could throw up a picture of him. but yeah man I love this 118th scale stuff. also just got a 3D printer I'm about to go to town on this s***! great vids brother keep them coming 🤙 FOR THEE EMPRAA!!!!
very cool, definitely going to eventually buy some of these guys. those intercessors look great! been a WH40K fan since 2012 never got into the figures, or the actual game. I never actually got enough funds to maintain that with everything else I had going on. but my god. these guys look amazing. definitely going to add to cart.
The last 10 books that I have read have been Warhammer. You were cracking me up when you said it was too sad lol it is very intense but that is one of the Appeals
I will say it was the look that drew me to 40k as well and it took me a few years before I sat down and found myself liking the lore. For me, I never WANT to be the 'bad guys' in a media. That's just not me. BUT in 40k, there isn't any real 'good guys' so it kind of gives you license for a guy like me, to LIKE a 'bad guy' and I think that's one of the ways warhammer 40k can appeal to some people. Because sometimes being a 'villain' is kind of cool.
Please do more warhammer joytoy stuff review D. Your review are always good as ever. You always make me wanna do review channel also and buy more toy 😆👍👍👍
They're bigger than usually 3 1/4 inch because in true scale they're 8'0 1/2 feet tall, because they're Primaris (the current most evolved type of space marines).
Seeing them next to that Master Chief, I think they should be slightly bigger. They are really nice looking, but still expensive for what they are. If they make some Black Templars, I may have to jump in and get a few then.
They are pretty small and the costs is kinda high. That being said, if I didn't have so many other hobbies I'd definitely be trying to get all of them. I still might try to get all the Joytoy and McFarlane Blood Angels one day but I definitely can't be trying to get them all. My love for video games and Lego games takes up a lot of money.
@@jasonmckillip5936 Thank you! I was hoping they would look to scale with other 3.75 figures. The McFarlane ones are too small compared to other 1/12 figures. I might do a Joes and Imperium VS Cobra and Chaos display then.
I bought a joy toy IP a couple of years back and the detail on the figure was amazing but the quality was questionable very loose join loose arm pegs and torso joints just a real hassle to mess with. I been skeptical to buy them ever since but these make me want to go on a limb
Pre 2020 joytoy quality was bad. That's changed drastically. Anything made in 2020 or on has been fantastic. I have almost everything joytoy has released the last 2 years.

Happy I'm living in a time where quality 40K figures exist.
I'm in deep with these..... The warhammer mechs are beasts too.
Where do you buy them from? I’ve been using bbts, but they don’t have these guys just yet.
These figures have interesting paint details.
The white along the edges of the armor reminds me of how people paint their Warhammer figurines.

The God Emperor demands monetary sacrifices... yeah pretty expansive but very well made.

i agree, they're kinda expensive but the paint job is probably one of the best i've ever seen for mass produced figures.

Was already interested in these guys, but I really appreciate your review. Thanks man, and the Emperor Protects.
Glad to see you finally cover Joytoy! Love this set
Skelly!!!
@@jasonmckillip5936 Sir Jay! Gotta check out D's view on Joytoy 1/18, the man's responsible for much of my 1/12 scale purchases
Love the highlights on the armor. About time you reviewed something 1/18, the scale to rule them all :P
Tyranids come in all sizes so the genestealers work pretty well... but the blonde rage machines are so goofy hopefully they do the Salamanders next!
Man please don't ever stop or listen to them overlords...always enjoy watching your videos/photos regardless of what toyline...ty man
Really enjoyed this ! PLEASE do more joy toy ! The mechs with drivers ARE FLIPPIN FANTASTIC !!!
I'm glad you stick to your format even when the algorithm changes

The backpack is a powerpack and it’s pretty much a mini fusion reactor , it powers the whole suit and all

hell yeah man, i've been waaaaiting for joytoy stuff
I just got a Blood Angel in the mail today. first one for me. they remind me so much of the older Gundam MSIA figures and I am fucking loving that.
Thanks for this presentation, as usual it's great to see your video and discovers those "toys". Great job

When you made his stand on one leg. That's when I wanted this.
I like Joy Toy, but too expensive for my budget. My army bulding in 3.75 are Stormtroopers, Rebel Soldiers, COBRA Soldiers and Clone Troopers.
Im just glad you got these. THANKS VERY MUCH SIR. I have the exact same ones.
Thanks for the review. I have been thinking about getting these.

The vents on the back packs are suspensors. They mitigate weight and allow greater maneuverability, especially in space
Bro, I LOVE Warhammer 40K!! Even though it's a messed up dystopian future, I still consider it very fascinating! It became my main hobby.

amazing video love joy toy ❤
where is possible buy this kind of landscape ?

notice that the final headsculpts are different (and better) than the box art
How do they scale with 3.75 Joes? I've been on the fence on getting some of these, the price point is the only thing holding me back.
They tower over 3.75 figures like Joe's or VC. Joytoy is 1/18 but really they make 4 inch figures.
@@jasonmckillip5936 Thank you! I was hoping they would look to scale with other 3.75 figures. The McFarlane ones are too small compared to other 1/12 figures. I might do a Joes and Imperium VS Cobra and Chaos display then.
@@billybaloney3065 they scale slightly small with 4 inch figures like halo and other joytoy. But with true 3.75 figures they scale about perfectly.
D, can I ask which site you got them from? I’m wanting to get the black legion but not looking to wait for big bad to get them in.
MORE JOY TOYSSSS🔥🔥🔥
Really nice, hoping to see some Stormcast down the line.
Awesome figures brother great video
Their mechas are amazing.
There is scope for doing stop frame animation with these models....if you have the patience lol. Cheers for the vid.

The toy gods.
Where did you get these at and how was the shipping
Just found out about these they’re so fuckin sick thanks for the vid! They’re huge! I wonder how the Death Korps scale alongside them.
I'm about to get these wohoo 🙌🏼
I had just been debating picking these up, when your review shows up! must be a sign lmao
Horus Heresy - Book 1 - Horus Rising is a good start
hi D Amazing, would you consider showing your collections like other collectors do? you must have a huge collection after all these videos!
I see they did the highlights
Fake fan, lol. Love the honesty of it all. They do look pretty cool though. Thanks for the review.
i love joy toy figures the problem with them is the are very expensive and break rather easy.
Holy fuck !!!!! I NEED THESE !!!!!!! BADLY ;D
McFarlane Genestealer works great as giant monster against Joy Toy Warhammer army.
Bro, you have the best background ever. Show it off man, talk about your background
For the Emperor!
Space Marines look slightly undersized compared with normal humans... this is how tall they should be out of the power armor
Try Dan Abnett Gaunt's ghosts series of novels...good reads and realism un-matched " )
Why not show classic comparison, with SH or Marvel Legends? I don't understand haw size it's guys.
These look pretty cool but $150usd for these are insane 😵
Not that expensive, it's $150 for four set. . GW stuff even more pricy and they come unpainted.
i got these around 110 usd 3 months ago on joytoyworld...
I want these so badly, but as everyone is saying...just too pricey. Maybe I'll just get a solo one and call it quits
the scales are wayyyyyyyy off XD
and that guy is not an Ultramarine btw
nice... but too expensive...
"chainsaw sword" haha you can just say chainsword bro :)
