Hay Justin, thanks for the comparison. Can you elaborate more on the gimbals. I think it's probably the most important part of a good radio. >> VS-M vs AGO1
I have T14 (with b&w lcd) for half an year and love it. Built-in 1 watt ELRS works very well. So do gimbals. But this radio with color display seems better choice.
I recently picked up the Boxer Max and I’m loving it. The easier to read buttons, monochrome screen, kickstand, large battery bay (with the pass through cable channels), and AG01 gimbals were big selling points.
I like that the T15 is set up for 21700 batteries. Sure, some people might want the largest battery possible, but I prefer being able to buy completely standard cells, and 5000 mah vs 6200 mah is not a huge difference. Plus, the 21700s are much less expensive than the 6200 mah lipo. I also like the accessible button cell, but why do so many radios use the damn CR1220 button cell? I hate those batteries compared to the CR2032. The CR2032s are higher capacity and easier to find, AND I already have them since they are commonly used in other applications. Please -- no more CR1220s! Finally, I like that these radios resemble each other. If the size and shape are comfortable, copying is a good thing. It means the same case will fit both and control layout will be familiar. I find this to be beneficial to the customer. I want real differences, not cosmetic ones, and these two radios are substantially different.
Great review. I wish RM would make a TX12 size with the touch screen. TX16s is to big. Boxer is meh. It’s basically the same size as the tx16. If it was more narrow I think it would feel better. Love the size of the tx12 but don’t like the tiny screen Zorro is ok like the gamepad feel but kinda feels toyish Just got the Pocket for a different project and it feels good for what it is but needs more buttons and such. A TX with the touchscreen in a TX12 case or slightly bigger. But slightly smaller/narrower than the Boxer would be a win win.
Thanks for the nice comparison of the very similar radios! I've not used the 6 position on my boxer, but I'm thinking about using it for VTX power, if possible. I barely ever look at the screen, so I can live with the more awkward configuration for the undoubtedly MUCH better battery life of the Boxer. Plus, the AG01 gimbals on the Boxer Crush? What a steal for that price. I'm considering a Crush as my new daily driver and using my current Boxer as a backup. My only real complaint is I wish the Boxer had a folding antenna. I broke the internal antenna mount on my Boxer. I was super happy to see all the spare parts available for the Boxer on Amazon. Replacement was pretty easy. Yeah, they ship from China, but they are there. I wonder of Jumper makes all the spares easily available (I don't know). I use the GNB 6500mah in my Boxer and I can go forever between charges.
Which gimbals do you prefer? The AG01 are an expensive upgrade when you install them after market. They come stock in this Boxer. How do the gimbals in the T15 compare? I really like that color touch screen on the T15, but if the gimbals don't stack up, I'd go with the Boxer. I'm running a RadioMaster Pocket right now and love it but I do want a Boxer. I still prefer the translucent cases to these colors too. I guess I'm picky 😂 but it's great to have choices. Thanks for producing content that I find interesting, informative, and entertaining. Happy flying amigo. 🫡 🍻
they have a transparent boxer. also the gimbals on the t15 arent really cnc, its just plastic with a few metal pieces to bling it up compared to almost full metal on the ag01s. in the end its ur choice tho
I’ve been using an old spektrum dsm DX8 for my planes for years which worked fine for line of sight flying.. but since I’ve hooked up my dji FPV system on my planes I have crashed twice from loosing radio signal I use the dji controller for all my fpv drones I need a good radio for planes that will get some good range for fpv flying Are either of these a good choice or would you suggest getting a FrSky or something else
Either they teamed up to get a deal from a manufacturer, or one of the companies had this produced by a supplier in China, and the other company was shopping around to have their controller produced and stumbled upon this source and the source was like, "hey, we still have the molds set up with 7 different color production lines from this other controller we produced for another client, and we also have everything set up to print the PCB boards for the controllers, so we can completely skip any set-up charges which will save you 40% off your order". Something like that. Without a doubt they were produced in the same warehouse.
The shells are too different to be from the same molds, also a new mold that size costs as much as a house. No really plastics molds are hideously expensive, injection molded plastic is only cheaper than other options in volume. If they could have used the same moulds they for sure would have.
@@atomicskull6405 I've seen a fair amount of product development here in Asia, and I've seen molds hacked apart, filed down, and retooled to create far more different results than what we see here.
The T15 takes 21700 batteries as well as 18650. At 5000mAh thats only a 25% difference and considering it has built in fast charge you could easily recharge the thing while you stop for lunch, indeed two full 21700 is likely enough for a full day of flying non-stop.. As for screen current draw that would very much depend on the types of panels being used, colour oled vs backlit TFt for instance? Not so black and white.
Jumper was formed by some of the people at FrSky who designed the Horus X10, they left to work at Jumper (who already existed) with the designs and made the TX16 which was an electrical level copy of the X10. Not satisfied with Jumper some of them left again to form Radiomaster and made a direct clone of the T16 with some improvements.
Man jumper killed it on this one. Im definitely going with jumper

AG01 are far superior. On top of the fact all the adjustments are right on top easily assessable
I was literally about to buy a Radiomaster Boxer but after this review i think i'll try the JmperRC. Thank you for the review!

T15 is using 21700 lion battery not 18650
I’ve got 18650’s in mine but found if bump the radio they move and sometimes disconnect but a piece of paper towel folded up solved that
Pretty cool radio Justin . 👍🏻
Hasn't the boxer been out for over a year? Sounds more like a copy with some added bling. For me higher Radiomaster build quality means alot.
2 years now 👍🏻👍🏻
It's more like a copy of the Frsky X14 than of the Boxer.

Yes absolutely not sure why no one wants to mention jumper T15 in RM crush reviews
I think the biggest feature of the crush are the gimbals, I wish the reviewers put more time on the gimbal comparison between these two radios.
If I recall correctly radiomaster was started by one of the jumper creators after they split off.
This is exactly what i was looking for, i ordered the T15 and 2 hours later the new boxer came out 😅
Dude, where 2 buy such a stickends u r using on ur personal boxer?!
Did you mention gimbles?
Good review
I have the Jumper T20, I have medium size hands (glove size L), it's a bit too big for my palms it's uncomfortable, I will get the Boxer Max.
Can the gimbals on the jumper t15 be upgraded to AG01?
Nice video!! How do you get the screen like on the add with all the telemetry?
My simple wish would be that I could choose mode 1 and it be shipped in Mode 1.
Is the t16 available with built In 4 in 1 module??? Thanks

English language the “?” Puts a question to the phrase. Not “it is”.
