How to easily fix Parking Brake Switch. C4 Grand Picasso (2006-2013). Clean or Replace switch.

Save on dealer/service centre costs. I was quoted $360.00 AUD to fix.
The OEM part costs $195.00 directly from Citroen Aus, unfortunately online is almost the same once shipping is added to Australia, so no saving from buying online.
Perhaps try an auto wreckers (very hard to find Citroen C4 Picassos in Melbourne at least).
The hatch versions I found have a 'proper' hand brake.
At worst you'll save almost a couple of hundred by DIY if you source only the switch from the dealer, at least it'll have warranty.

same , My C4 Picasso Exclusive appeared a P triangle and the handbrake is faulty , and it appeared Frein de Parking défaillant in french

In the UK a new switch costs £45 brand new. All kinds of stuff seems to be insanely expensive in Australia. If anyone needs to know, the part number is 470702.

@@jaymakes Mine is a 10 plate. This generation of C4 ran from 2006 to 2013. Amazon have a feature now where you can enter your reg and it'll tell you which parts are compatible with your car.

I have the 2007 C4 Picasso Exclusive which has the same Automatic hand break system - but in my case the engine is partially dismantled the starter is disabled for safety ( ie:- cable removed )
How do I release the Auto handbrake so I can push or move the car....joe
