My friend gave me his faulty Ducky One 2 Mini keyboard. The USB-C port is defective and needs repair. Let's open it up and examine the cause, fix the port, and give the ducky a thorough clean.

Any ideas on a key that doesn't work? I mean I have a keyboard, everything works fine except the Control key. the switch are good, when i connect the 2 pins of the switch i can use it for a few minutes and then it won't work anymore. I have to solder Left CTRL to Right CTRL so that it can work.
Last, switch are good, solder is good, nothing is broken, no clue about Right CTRL not working. (actually it works if i connect 2 pins, but it confuses me is switch is good and it still works, when I connect with Left CTRL it still works)
a good way to clean switches is put them into a strainer in a sink and rins them then put a towl around it for about 2 or so days

Thanks i tried this on my ducky sf, took ages to get the switch off, in the end after swapping the faulty one with a known good it, it still didn't work. I tried updating the firmware too but it wouldn't start, and ducky support sucks. Appreciate the video though
Hello, let me explain my situation. Before the problem, I accidentally spilled some drink on my keyboard: the ducky one mini 2. I was able to clean above and a little inside, the drink was not on the side of the bar space. However 2h30-3h00 after the "accident". While I was playing my space key became unusable, I tried everything I know, put the driver back, clean the key, reset the keyboard etc. change usb etc. Nothing works, do you have a solution?
When you show a worn port via microscope, it would be nice to see a new port for comparison
How do you make these close-ups of the cable connector? It's magnified a lot more than my camera can.

Some of my keys (Q, Z, K and .>) arent lighting up. It looks like the bulb isnt working. Do you know how i could fix this? Any material i could read up on to fix myself?
I don't know sorry. Could be a circuit for sections of bulbs that's broken, or could be individual bulbs. Did they all stop working at the same time, or did they individually go out?

Any idea why my keys would sometimes be double pressed and then sometimes not working at all. It’s not certain keys it’s random across the board
Interesting. Might be an issue with the encoder IC, it might be faulty. I'm not sure though. Also not sure on price and availability for replacing those.
So the part you were sodering off at 6:15 i broke it off and it wont work now of corse. Do you know where i can find it. Iv been looking for a while and cant find anything?

I need some help please. The little boxes that have the contacts of the analog stick of my ps4 controller have cut off from the motherboard and I don't know what to do I can't play anything please reply
So you need to get replacements and solder new ones back on to the motherboard. If you don't know how to solder, then you'll need to take it to a repair shop.

this happened to me
USB-C keyboards should all have a hub built in
Picture a nice TKL with high speed USB C port on the left side, and one on the right
Now picture it with a USB-A port also on the right and left sides
I would prefer the A ports to be USB 2.0 for compatibility
If I needed a USB-A port with USB 3 speed, I could simply use an adapter on one of the USB-C ports
Even wireless keyboards should have a hub built in
The hub would not work when used wireless, but the keyboard would be wired most of the time when sitting on a desk

are you still able to do this? ill send you my ducky...will pay also...my eyes aren't that good anymore. i want to say its the usb port...i tried everything...just has no power...bought it used on eBay...plugged it up...lit up a good 4 min, then went down like Arron Rodgers in 3 plays...now i know what the Jets are feeling...all pumped up and then ahhhhh!!!!!....LOL..can you help me?...its a One 2 Mini
