    lwo circumcised before even the ugandan Acoli men did this practice. It was stopped by european missionaries. Do not feel inclined to translate all things in Eng we need to keep these knowledge in various dialects of Lwo we can pick it up bit by bit. It is good to keep secrets too.

      Keeping secrets is very good. Remember our ancestors gave secrets of the Afrikan people to the muzungu and that's how they conquered us

      @Mrpwocber ปีที่แล้ว

      @@queenwere1 Sure, that is why we should be promoting our varius luo dialects,children are very quick in learning langauges - they will hear everything by the time they grow up. We warn them not to translate things in foregn languages. Did you notice how the roman priests started penetrating through the children? Our elders should not have allowed this. We do not need their religion nor politics. They deceived us and made us worship pictures of their relatives, calling it Jesus or Mary. These are lies.

    Mainly, Ugandans run a strong LWO organization in the diaspora! Kenya's Luo and the Ker should seek an audience with this group! Scholars such as Professor Humprey Ojwang should help Ker to lead us! I visited Homa Bay and met Mr. Jared Wendo of Kanyada; I listened to his vast knowledge of the Luo clans & history of Luo from Ramogi to Nyada to myself! I hope such men are competed into the more excellent Luo Council!

      It means the same thing in luo of Kenya (to sleep). And death is "tho". But we feel that "tho" is too harsh. So we tend to use "nindo" as a polite way of expressing "death". It like using "he passed on" to mean "he died".

Historically Eritrea has Nilo-Saharan ,Cushitic and Semitic groups . The first groups in Eritrea from Upper Nile were Nilo-Saharan(Nilotics) . Some scholars consider the Luo Nilo-Semitic under Nilotics while others see it Nilo-Saharan like Nuba but still under Nilotics . In contemporary literature those of Hebrew extraction are considered semitic . The number1 obstacle to the whole process is/[are] COST[s].. the financing of the various organisational processes that will be involved..
    It's true that quite sizeable amounts of money will be needed for - transportation & communication (air & surface).. accommodation.. overall maintenance (feeding.. health issues.. safety & security..) during the duration of the events..
    There are [a good number of] very wealthy (millionaire) Luo individuals.. whose generosity could be called upon to help in many ways in providing the greater parts of all the financial requirements..

      He is not telling lies. We knew from when we were kids that Lwo/Luo were lost in West African countries, they speak the languages of those people but they are luo who got lost in West Africa. Some still retain Luo names with same meanings of words as Luo/Lwo of East Africa to date.

    There is evidence the Luo of Kenya used to circumsize but they replaced it with removal of the teeth - I have the evidence/or you can search online "kenyastockholm.files.wordpress.com/2008/08/luocircumcisionrites_03.pdf". The culture of the Luo/Lwo world-wide is exactly what you read in the bible which christians call Old Testament. It should not be taken lightly this is the real culture of the Luo/Lwo which europeans documented and fought against.
