- The first ever Dork in the Road campout was a resounding success. What an amazing weekend of ADV riding and motorcycle camping in beautiful central Oregon right off Oregon BDR section 5. We spent two days and three nights riding adventure and dual sport motorcycles up to Three Creek Lake, Tumalo Reservoir, Dee Wright Observatory, Skylight Cave, and even up to the top of the Cache Mountain expert section on the ORBDR. What an amazing group of guys and one heck of a fantastic weekend motorcycle camping trip.

Of the motorcycle events that I have attended over the years, I enjoyed this one the most. Even though I didn't know anyone else before attending, it felt like hanging out with a group of friends. The surroundings were beautiful and the riding was great, but it was most definitely the community that made this weekend as good and as special as it was. Hope to see you all again next year!
It was a great event - thanks to Ben and everyone else for making it so much fun! Had a blast riding parts of those BDR trails, even the sand was a fun challenge. Can't wait for the next one!

A bunch of us were talking about your event at Amanda's Rocky Mountain Roll. Hopefully it's opened up a bit as I'd love to make it. Seemed like a great event and I love that area of Oregon.
It went pretty well so I could see trying to make it a little bigger next year. We shall see.

As a viewer it would have been awesome to have people give a brief tour of their motorcycle and whatever upgrades they have done.

Hey Ben, shout out from Lawrence, Kan. Enjoy your videos! I'm curious, are you mostly riding the Honda CRF300L now or is that the 450? I'm 6'1", 220 lbs and that bike seems to be a bit on the smaller side, but it seems like you're riding it a lot now.
Small critique. Would’ve been cool if everyone gave a quick rundown of their bikes.
There were 30 people so that would be like a whole separate video, unfortunately.

Fantastic views there Ben! Can you tell me the name of the campground-3 Lakes campground maybe? We'd like to get a few of our friends together for something like this next season, and I should start the discussion with our little bunch of riders pretty soon. Might even be possible for us to do it this Fall before it gets too cold & wet.

@DorkintheRoad I'm loving watching your videos. I'm just now getting into ADV riding on my 2022 Tiger 900 GT Pro. How can I possibly join some of your rides? Looking for people to ride with in Oregon since I'm a newbie and don't want to go at it alone.
