But they all either go off into the weeds or go off the rails or otherwise just make things things more difficult than they need to be. The one thing that would make this even better would be to have the names of the letters spelled out in Cyrillic (like мягкий знак instead of, or in addition to, the romanization: MYAG-kiy-znak).
Russian is very phonetic, and to go from russian to english, which is not phonetic at all- I can see being very very hard. I personally find it easier- the russian alphabet, than say, the Spanish alphabet.

Actually that's not how it sounds. That's how they seem to say it in the alphabet but it's pronounced like the English 'Y'. Like 'yuh'.
