This is absolutely wrong information. If a company pays X units of shares to a person as a partial or full income, the shares allotted to the individual are taxed. So the person will be awarded (X - tax as per applicable slab) units of shares as an income.Shares, partial or full, are an income/salary. You are not "buying" shares. You are "earning" shares. In the video, then you say that they take a loan from the bank- that will attract interest and you have to pay back the loan. But your income is only in shares so you have to sell shares every month or quarter or whatever, based on your payback arrangement with the bank, and pay capital gain tax on the shares sold. So in total, you are paying income tax on shares earned, interest to bank on loan taken, and capital gain tax on capital gains, if any. The real reason why rich people prefer shares is because: 1. Long term investment. They take smaller salary on paper today in forms of share and pay smaller taxes today. Later, they pay lesser taxes on gains because of flat rates. 2. On-paper net-worth. Net-worth is calculated on share/asset value pre-tax. If a person is concerned about their net-worth, they would save this money for the future. 3. Retirement fund. If you sell pre-taxed share after retirement with no source of hefty income, you pay less taxes. All in all, it is about paying LESS TAXES and not NO TAXES. Sir but as per section 17(2)(vi) of Income tax act, if you take shares of a company at inadequate consideration or without any consideration than such benefit in monetary terms is taxable as salary only and tax has to be paid on such amount of fair value of shares net of any payment made in the year in which such share certificate is received or credited to demat account of employee. Further if shares are received for inadequate/no consideration other than in a capacity of employee, than too it would taxable under section 56(2)(x) of income tax act. So escaping tax liability through shares is not possible. 😊😊
But what about interest payable on the loan .. If PL is at 12% interest and yearly growth of the shares is suppose 15% then only 3% actual growth. Then What's the benefit to take loan by keeping co- lateral or pledging the shares.
@pranjankamra I have one question. Suppose a rich person get shares of 50lac in a particular financial year. In this way he had got 50lac form company and that should be counted in income and person will have to pay incometax.
Sir i have one question. They require money to buy these shares, so from where they will get these funds to buy shares. Because every time they cannot take loans from banks by giving their shares as security. The bank will conduct a scrutiny about their source of income and funds and if they found out that every time you are purchasing security from the loan funds by keeping the existing securities as collateral ,they will deny giving more funds and the person will be in a trap. So sir i think it is impractical. Correct me Sir wherever i am wrong..
So in which work I can get shares instead of money But I also doubt that they will give me share instead money Cuz' they are not idiots they also know that my company share value will increase so why should I give him shares and if I will give him shares he will be in profit but I didn't get anything. So then what should we do😂??
How to sell shares? Well you give collateral and take a loan from bank. You don't pay and bank sells the shares later, bank pay the tax and billionaire gets the money. 🙂 In this case however banks knows this.
Hi Pankaj, I have heard this narrative many times but there is 1 question I have. Even if they pledge shares to get loan to run their daily expenses, but still there is an EMI to pay right? How will that happen?
People paying tax to government for each and everything whether in form of GST or through Tax and all the government employees are being paid through this amount of TAX received, yet instead of helping the Indian people government employees consider themselves as superior and acts as if they are doing beneficence on us whether they are police or any government hospital doctor etc.

Not true in India, ESOPs are taxed at slab rate. Sensational clickbait.
But what about interest payable on the loan ..
If PL is at 12% interest and yearly growth of the shares is suppose 15% then only 3% actual growth.
Then What's the benefit to take loan by keeping co- lateral or pledging the shares.
@pranjankamra
I have one question.
Suppose a rich person get shares of 50lac in a particular financial year.
In this way he had got 50lac form company and that should be counted in income and person will have to pay incometax.
Shares received in lieu of cash salary is considered to be 'Salary received in kind' which is taxable under Income Tax Act, 1961. Right?
Sir i have one question.
They require money to buy these shares, so from where they will get these funds to buy shares. Because every time they cannot take loans from banks by giving their shares as security. The bank will conduct a scrutiny about their source of income and funds and if they found out that every time you are purchasing security from the loan funds by keeping the existing securities as collateral ,they will deny giving more funds and the person will be in a trap.
So sir i think it is impractical.
Correct me Sir wherever i am wrong..
So in which work I can get shares instead of money
But I also doubt that they will give me share instead money Cuz' they are not idiots they also know that my company share value will increase so why should I give him shares and if I will give him shares he will be in profit but I didn't get anything.
So then what should we do😂??
How to sell shares?
Well you give collateral and take a loan from bank.
You don't pay and bank sells the shares later, bank pay the tax and billionaire gets the money. 🙂
In this case however banks knows this.
Or fir bankcorrupt hojao
