@varun prasad But all their service sucks police, courts, municipal services, govt offices, etc and the infrastructure is horrible. I am getting a terrible ROI for the huge taxes I pay. I would rather offload these services to multiple private companies who can do it more efficiently but I cannot. Govt has a monopoly over this and can legally do violence against me. It's not just bad, it's terrible. People are getting raped, police bully the victims, military kills innocent civilians, courts take forever to give judgement, Roads are filled with garbage and Roads become garbage after 1 rain. Govt sucks, terrible ROI.

I stopped paying income tax from 2020......as my company fired me during Covid lockdown and no company hires me as I am 52 years old. And I don't get any social security despite having paid income tax for past 28 years
@ekagar singh check out the difference between , that river water and that bottle of water , and also the cost it takes to transport water from that river to you , also when water came in hands of corporates it gave job to lakhs of people

Finally someone is taking this serious..income tax is tax harrassment for the salaried people. I am in favour of abolishing incometax. As i dont have any benefits of my own for paying tax, for ex,during covid times,people lost their lives and savings to corporates and hospitals. Paying taxes didnt help. Abolishing income tax would make me spend more and save for a better future

First thing that comes into my mind when I think of Zero Income Tax is that there would be no Income Tax Department and many of my friends working in IT Dept would be accommodated in other CG departments.

If income tax is removed, then people spend more money, then gst revenue will increase, and companies will also earn more, corporate tax revenue will also increase. When corporate earn more because of consumer spending, employment will also increased then this cycle goes on. Ultimately govt can recover from other sources

What if a account created wealth creation.... And the some 10 percent if taxes will be credited to other people accounts... So all means reaming 140 crore people will directly get benefit.... And on this wealth creation account 2% return will be given every year to thise people... Such way every one will create wealth... There is no need to consider agriculture income in income tax. There is no doubt there are pros but the biggest con is life of farmer. Which is not bearable. Our system is corrupt and they take unfair advantage of tax towards the farmers

You forget to mention about Bait-ul-maal in UAE type countries. In Islam, every Muslim who is rich must donate at least 2.5% of their accumulated wealth for the benefit of the poor, destitute and others & it is reserved in the government adminstration called as Bait-ul-maal & also Bait-ul-maal provides life-saving, life-sustaining, and life-enriching humanitarian aid to underserved populations around the country or world. Giving 2.5% of the wealth every year is called as Zakat and this one of five pillars of Islam. The one who doesn't pay this donation every year doesn't consider as a good Muslim. It is being highlighted at least 82 times in the Quran to donate every year for needy/poors.

Also it depends on the corporations as they increase price of thier product year on year to generate more profit so that its share prices increase but usually they also Increase thier employees salary year on year . One disadvantage of no Income tax would be that there is no going back. Once a person get used to his in hand salary, he never want this to be reduced either by employer or by govt.
Good Idea: It can be implemented slowly by Increasing the Income-tax payable amount slabs for employees. Like upto 30Lakhs per annum no tax later it can be increased gradually. As we all know most of the employees can save just 10% of monthly income nowadays as the remaining amount will go for monthly installments etc..

I pay 30% tax, and I get nothing in return from government. This is injustice. At least Government should give some benefits to the income tax payer. Totally crap government. Exploiting IT guys. That's the reason, IT guys leaves India. Government should think on this seriously.
Strict fines should be imposed on every individual that breaks rules like parking, throwing waste, and so on ...rules which helps in creating disciplined environment...and then see where our country goes🙂
I think law breakers should be fined a lot more than they currently are. I'm not suggesting this as a replacement for income tax obviously, rather an extra source of revenue for the govt.

Present govt has been unable to make a firm policy in any sector since 2014, revised the GST structure multiple times, damaged the small scale & cottage industries, lost a gem-Raghuram Rajan, made new records of negative GDP & much more... They couldn't even maintain the preexisting structure, curating something new like 0% income tax is dead impossible from them.

1) Income tax should not be 0. It should reduce so that it not become a burden. 2) Indian government should focus on tourism. 3) Should increase tax for foreign companies, as it is a huge market. 4) It's true that India doesn't have huge natural resources like petroleum but India has a great resource of human. It means a lots of creative mind, a hub of talent but our government never use this. 5) Last and the most important point. Indian government should spend money wisely because (income - expenditure) is more important than income.

I am an economics student. My suggestions are as below: Income tax ki slab rate kam kar deni chahiye: 0-20 lakh =no tax 20-100 lakh = 5% tax 1-10 crore 8% tax 10-100 crore 10% tax above= 15% tax Second point is government should reduce its expenditures on not necessary things. Third point, Tax on lavish cars should increase, as they are bought only by too rich people. If they can pay 2 crore they can pay 2 crore plus 20 lakhs also. Forth point, high class liquor pe tax badha dena chahiye. Items used in luxury like Granites, lavish home decor things, branded cloths, firecrackers and music and lighting systems, branded shoes,1 to 5 star hotel services, private hospitals, gold, silver, diamonds can be laid with a little high GST. With income less than 20 lakhs p.a. no tax. (How about it).
Most of these already are in top gst slab and already hurting respective industries cause they have more tax…cause similar logic was used when placing these in higher gst slabs😆
Instead of demolition of income tax we would have imposed half of the existing income tax. And and also imposed 1% or 2% income tax on marginal earnings to recover the govt revenue. We should make a strict provision while making our bank a/c to link our pan cards so that we can keep check on individuals monthly earning. This will really help to grow our nation without any loss and compromises..

I would rather offload these services to multiple private companies who can do it more efficiently but I cannot. Govt has a monopoly over this and can legally do violence against me. It's not just bad, it's terrible.
People are getting raped, police bully the victims, military kills innocent civilians, courts take forever to give judgement, Roads are filled with garbage and Roads become garbage after 1 rain. Govt sucks, terrible ROI.

First thing that comes into my mind when I think of Zero Income Tax is that there would be no Income Tax Department and many of my friends working in IT Dept would be accommodated in other CG departments.
I think inheritance tax, taxes on alcohol tobacco and other toxic substances must be added this can not only makes government rich but also maintain the health of citizens

There is no need to consider agriculture income in income tax. There is no doubt there are pros but the biggest con is life of farmer. Which is not bearable. Our system is corrupt and they take unfair advantage of tax towards the farmers

You forget to mention about Bait-ul-maal in UAE type countries. In Islam, every Muslim who is rich must donate at least 2.5% of their accumulated wealth for the benefit of the poor, destitute and others & it is reserved in the government adminstration called as Bait-ul-maal & also Bait-ul-maal provides life-saving, life-sustaining, and life-enriching humanitarian aid to underserved populations around the country or world.
Giving 2.5% of the wealth every year is called as Zakat and this one of five pillars of Islam. The one who doesn't pay this donation every year doesn't consider as a good Muslim. It is being highlighted at least 82 times in the Quran to donate every year for needy/poors.

Good Idea: It can be implemented slowly by Increasing the Income-tax payable amount slabs for employees. Like upto 30Lakhs per annum no tax later it can be increased gradually. As we all know most of the employees can save just 10% of monthly income nowadays as the remaining amount will go for monthly installments etc..

I am an economics student. My suggestions are as below:
Income tax ki slab rate kam kar deni chahiye:
0-20 lakh =no tax
20-100 lakh = 5% tax
1-10 crore 8% tax
10-100 crore 10% tax
above= 15% tax
Second point is government should reduce its expenditures on not necessary things.
Third point, Tax on lavish cars should increase, as they are bought only by too rich people. If they can pay 2 crore they can pay 2 crore plus 20 lakhs also.
Forth point, high class liquor pe tax badha dena chahiye. Items used in luxury like Granites, lavish home decor things, branded cloths, firecrackers and music and lighting systems, branded shoes,1 to 5 star hotel services, private hospitals, gold, silver, diamonds can be laid with a little high GST.
Fifth point, strange but great if implemented, Marriage tax on slab rate basis should be levied. If someone has high income and is getting married high taxes has to be paid. With income less than 20 lakhs p.a. no tax. (How about it).
Right, especially on luxury cars.
But bro gov can't reduced tax because revenue will exponentially decreased and they want money for welfare of society.
Most of these already are in top gst slab and already hurting respective industries cause they have more tax…cause similar logic was used when placing these in higher gst slabs😆

Instead of demolition of income tax we would have imposed half of the existing income tax. And and also imposed 1% or 2% income tax on marginal earnings to recover the govt revenue. We should make a strict provision while making our bank a/c to link our pan cards so that we can keep check on individuals monthly earning.
