I think the reason why Nintendo stopped updating MM2 is because that they want new stuff to add for the third installment. Either that, or they just gave up :/
@@boogiewoogieproductions8988 it's that exactly. They want to hold out so they can add more to the third installment. Which kind of sucks because you're having to pay out big money for a third installment for basically just a few new features. It does annoy me that the second edition of this is missing features that was in the original Mario maker. They actually removed amiibo costumes. That was one of my favorite features to the first Mario maker

Licensed games means paying dozens of employees, meeting deadlines, having profit margins, etc. Fan games are thrown together by individuals or at best, small teams with no guarantee of quality or support, no guarantee of lifespan and since noone is getting paid or pressured to make a quality product, they can make updates whenever they want, rather than pending approval.
The NSMBU style gives me a nostalgic feeling, because it looks very similar to the NSMBU style in SMM for 3ds.

With ripped I mean that they took a picture of the game and then cut in on photoshop, I don't know if it has a different meaning in English

The thing with the NSMBU style is, as much as it looks like NSMBDS, the things from SMM1 are EXACT copies from the 3ds port of that game(I know, not having a wii-u and stuff)

20:12 wasn’t a softlock, it’s only a softlock if the only way to die is by restarting the course or waiting out the timer. You could easily go into the endless pit, so therefore it wasn’t a softlock.
The thumbnail gave me a mini heart attack. I thought SMM2 was getting an unexpected update. 😂

Interesting that you say that, in an omder version of the game (around 2.0.0) there was Nsmb sprites on the files (Sorry for my English, my main language is Spanish)
P.S. this doesn't mean that they're going to add it, it's just a fun fact, even though, they haven't said anything about it, but they wanted to add new styles, in an older version they added Super mario bros 2, but it was removed for some reasons... (Long story)

Did he also increased the level size? I remember that the earlier levels where mostly short, but maybe it was because of the level-creators and not because of the level-editor.
I am not sure. Some people seem to use the space a bit better. But I still have trouble finding levels that aren't super short. So maybe people just make super short levels for some reason xD

Incase you missed it, that second multicoin block when you broke it, the coins that fell out upon being broken, glitched out and instead spawned I think Mario World game style's version of coins

They actually added them in one version, but it was removed for unkown reasons, there was even an option to activate them on the settings, but it didn't worked. I heard they were removed due to lag.

Well, I come to say that SMMWE is already compatible with Xbox controls, with the Joycons and the Nintendo Switch pro control some users are having problems and the Playstation controls are not yet compatible as well as the generic controls.

I’ve followed the game fo a long time back when super Mario U style still wasn’t a thing. And now they are working on upgrading the graphics for Mario U.

It's hard to release stuff for iOS, esp. as open source. Apple is a locked down walled garden, they make it hard to make anything for it. It is either App Store (not cheap nor easy) or a "unofficial" alternate store which preys upon developer signing certificates (which can be revoked which causes rhe app unusable)

In the original Super Mario Bros. 3, Boomerang Bro’s skin was green instead of blue.
There's also a new hammer suit in SMB3 style, to get it you have to hold down the frog suit then boom! There it is!

Mine are Boomerang and Fire.The fire bro on NSMBU(of SMMWE) has the sprites of the fire bro on SMM2 on SM3DW Style.

Here's a fun fact for you Darby. The NSMBU style looks very 3DS-ish because that is how the style looked in the 3DS version of mario maker!

Oddly to see Super Mario World coins on the first level when the whole theme was New Super Mario Bros. U... other than that, it was a nice video to watch.

Fun fact: For some reason, the coins that are spawned from Bullet Blasters always appear in the SMW style no matter what style is usex, which may be a visual bug.
Also, not only is yoshi also in the SMW style in the NSMBU style, but he also seems to have completly stopped existing there; he dosen't show up in NSMBU levels when you playtest when placed down by himself and when spawned from a block his sprite appears (glitchly?) for like a second before vanishing. I've heard there's a way to get him working tho.
I'm guessing that both of these bugs may have been caused by the "New sprites for NSMBU" thing.
That's mostly because they haven't added yoshi in the Nsmbu style yet
those bugs have to be clipped on the game's discord server

Blue Television Games, this game got cancelled 2 weeks ago 😭
I just started playing this days ago because of how cool this game looked but now since it’s cancelled we won’t be getting 4.0.0 and SMMWE Website & Multiplayer. Anyone can get the source code from its apk to continue this but Franyer Farías was an awesome developer for this and I guess the dev did the right decision on leaving. I think a lot of fans of SMMWE will help this game for Franyer Farías in the future.

I love this, but I wonder if it's possible to change the language? I've asked a friend that speaks spanish to translate a message for me and I put in their discord, it got pushed away because they were discussing about someone who glitched something, and there's only one chat in there, so it's hard to be able to talk with them.
