    What’s the best way to thin the prep out of its too thick . Can alcohol or paint thinner work ?

      I would guess water would work, its pretty much just syrup

      @bigeyefpv after 3 mins do you remove the pot from the burner or just turn off the burner and let it set on the burner?

    So my first attempt seems a bit to thin. Should I boil linger? Or add more corn starch?

      Keep boiling, your pulling the water out when you boil it. Don’t add any

      Foams. I recommend gremlin goo on eBay for SE

    In the process of making my first batch, as it cools it creates a film on top. Is that normal or did I mess up and turn it into candy?

      Let it cool down for sure. Warm enough to move it around easily and not to hot to melt/warp your bottle

      I’m sure you can do 1 bottle and use 1/8-1/4 tablespoon of corn starch. But I prefer to use two bottles. Because I like to use a deep pot. This stuff is sticky if it splashes pops out during boiling process.and two is deep enough to work the corn starch in easier

    So I did my first batch and it came out good but I was wondering you said the more you boil it the more thicker it gets right what about the more corn starch you add would that make it more sticker type deal?

      Awesome! I’m glad you got it! More corn starch it turns into harder candy. The corn starch will continue to lock it up. So I recommend boiling water out instead of adjusting the corn starch.

      It can. But not nearly as well. I recommend just using the corn syrup straight if you don’t want to do the boiling. It’ll work better than maple syrup

      @@rcguy5793 the reason why i asked i went shopping today and they was all out but when i came home i found a old bottle of corn syrup but it was the heavy kind had to dilute it with some water buter it came out good in the end
