Quick question do you have to heat it up Bcs track I go to it’s packed and won’t be able to heat they or should I let them sit for couple days Before using it
Here in Australia the drinks use cane sugar instead of corn syrup do you think it’ll work? or is there something with the corns viscosity like that with starch and water? I’m going to have to try and maybe add a little starch and see if it gains any more im thinking as I write it may not let fast enough adhesion in motion or maybe an abrasive but anything granular usually looses grip but if it were sharp enough maybe not? The peel test with the shoe I like lol but it’s not demonstrating the shear resistance needed I might set up a scale to drag a weight across it…or just do some rips
If it isnt as sticky as it should be should i add more corn syrup or more soda. Would it also help if you evaporate the water in the soda like u did with the one without alcohol? Any advice wpuld be sweet. Thanks for the video
Did you heat it with the torch? It needs the right amount of heat, if you over heat it it won't be sticky and the same if you don't hear it enough. I'll be posting another video soon on tips for how to apply it to the surface
Rickey Mack I know that then trying to make some sauce for a while getting tired of paying 50 $60 a gallon of course I make my money off it but when I try to make my own
Anyone with a contact in the restaurant business should easily be able to get some boxes of soda syrup for a great price. Saves the time of reducing your soda.
Nice video. I subbed to your channel even though I like to do a different type of drag racing. So Looks like syrup is the way to go. I have trying brown sugar. Your ingredients look alot easier. Thanks for putting up a video
Would honey work? It has a high sugar content and is even stickier than reduced soda. Soy or sunflower lecithin might also help the syrup and alcohol blend together better.
Hi, I'm Luciano from Argentina, in my country there is no product to get grip, I wanted to know if this product works if I apply it to the tire and at what time? Thanks for the tutorial I wait your answer .
Fun People Around The World the flame help buy dissolving the thinners/ thickening the corn syrup. If over heated it will just burn and you won’t be left with anything sticky so take your time and learn the best way to apply it. Good luck
Is there any substitute for Corn syrup. For some reason mine is thick as hell and refuses to mix with the soda etc. It is basically solid and heating up the mix doesn't help much.
Update: Its pretty sticky and it lights well but i feel like if we make a boiled water/sugar syrup it could replace the soda entirely making it cheaper and more to make. Ill try to do that and see the difference.
Wow I’ve been struggling to find a decent sticky compound for the cheap and I’m trying this next! I appreciate it my dude. Which one do you prefer? No alcohol or with alcohol???

I got a question for you, do you think I could substitute the 91% alcohol for denatured alcohol or WD -40 And do you think I could substitute the corn syrup with pure sugar mixed with the soda? I'm gonna make some track bite and I'd like to know.
It's josh 907 denatured alcohol might work and you can try regular sugar but don’t use wd-40 it’s oil based and would make the formula react differently. it’ll also leave the ground slippery which could cause an accident. 91% isopropyl alcohol is cheap as dirt and burns good. If anything I would recommend experimenting with MEK instead as a substitute for alcohol
I did try this. After a few minutes it's no longer sticky and is very wet. It's the hygroscopic nature of sugar sucking in moisture. Don't use this on the track, use it before the track in burnout area.
