Small room, glasses, PC on desk - it's as if you know me. You managed to de-focus the background to the point that the corner crack is almost invisible. Thank you for showing us how it's done. Wonderful
Hey. Thank you! I try to show woth the hardest set to prove that a simple room can look ok and we can do great looking content in a simple apartment withows to much struggle :) Thank you for your support 🙋🏻♂️
This is single handedly probably the most important and most useful tutorial video you have made my friend! Lighting is THE trickiest part to any setup of filming or photography. Learning the three point lighting scheme is easy to understand but SO difficult to pull off. Shadows, harshness, angles, diffusion etc etc are all so hard to deal with. And here you just very simply solved ALL of that in a way that is exactly needed for all TH-camrs or video people. All you need is two inexpensive lights bouncing off a white sheet or wall and it comes out perfect. You don't need those $1000 pro video continuous lights that virtually ALL other TH-camrs are pushing you to buy. As well as those massive light boxes that you mentioned....god I hate those things....you need so much space just to fit one. My podcast studio is also 8'x10'...I'm going to look at adding a white curtain rod opposite my desk and hanging a white/light grey curtain there to bounce light off as my desk is in the middle of the room and can't be moved. I use a ring light as my key light right now but will look into these godox ones...they seem great. I have 6 different little mini RGB tubes all around behind me giving different colors of light for background effect.
Thank you my friend. This is what I want to show to all creators, the fact that you need to test, try, make whatever it's necessary to solve your problem without spending 1000$ for a light. Everybody want cinematic, cinematic, but that cinematic is not suitable all the time for everything. I like it, I want that, but in a movie scene they have 50 people moving lights and creating everything special for just a shoot. We can do great, valuable content using something affordable but we just need to try and find a way to use it smart. You can try using a white curtain or something and bounce the light there. That will make a super difuze light. Thank you for you appreciation and feedback. I Appreciate it!
Thank you so much. I appreciate your support and I am super happy to hear that you like my content. I will continue to bring as much value as I can to you 🤗 Thank you!
Hey! Glad you like it, my friend. Softboxes ar great, but you need to have the space to use them. For talking head videos, I really recommend this technique and many creators using it are happy :) Thank you!
Hey! Do you mean a ring light? I don't use ring lights. I see them as a better fit for make-up tutorials where you need the light perfectly equal on both sides of the face.
Gabriel, I watched this months ago, and then searched for your guidance on how to use LED lights for background and hair light. I used your Amazon links, and I hope you get a commission because you deserve it. You are among the very best creator-educators on TH-cam. You should have 700,000 subscribers because your content is first class.
Thank you so much my friend! I really appreciate your support. I hope you managed to create what you want and achieve the. result you are looking for. Let me know if I can help you and congratualtions for your new setup :) Thank you my friend!
Excellent Gabriel... I work with similar room dimensions and it can be challenging, I like the idea of bouncing the light of the walls... could you do a video using green screen in your setup?....👍👍👍
Hey. Yeah, in small spaces that can be a solution for many. At the moment I don’t use green screen but I can try something. I have one, I know how to work with green screen, but I am not a big fan. I will add it on my list and see what I can do :) Thank you!
Great video, thank you! Do you think the ULANZI VL49 light you use for the hair light would also work as a background RGB light? The specs seem similar in terms of brightness, and it's a bit cheaper.
Hey! It will work but it will not be extremely powerful. But if you have a small room or don’t want to change the color of a big wall, it will be ok :)
As you saw in the video, just one can be insufficient. You can try if you have a fast lens with f1.4 but I recommend having two lights not just for the power but also to create some dynamic with the fill light.

Cheers to budget friendly and space saving lights. I agree the soft box lights are amazing but take up too much space.
Hey! Glad you like it, my friend.
Softboxes ar great, but you need to have the space to use them.

Thank you for this Gabriel. Why did you discard the ring all together?

@@GabrielVIP I just bought one first, I’ll update you if it works. As my space is really small
About to buy the same light from your link and got the error that not available for my country 😒😒
Hey bro. I don’t know. It can be an Amazon problem. It’s really up to them but thank you for using my links 😁 I appreciate it!
