Glad this video popped up, anychance you could ask Dan for the approx dimensions of his garage as Im planning on making my own sim room this year and it would help :P
So add better shoulder tilt and lower right will increase your launch angle. Continue to check you launch angle. Have you seen Garmin R 10 launch monitor and simulator. 600 US dollars.
I’ve not actually, I did think of trying to get one, so I’ve got something for numbers when we do outside testing. It looks a good bit of kit from what I’ve seen.
Love the dedication to golf that his garage roof almost fell off!!! In terms of other launch monitors, the Bushnell LP is unfortunately not available outside the US as it is geolocked. You would need to buy the Foresight GC3 which retails at over £8k and is exactly the same piece of hardware as Bushnell owns Foresight. He should possibly look at the new Uneekor Eye Mini at $4.5k in April as a potential option with GSPro course software.
As opposed to the Bushnell and if you have the space, the Mevo+ with the Pro package is a more economic way to get club data and simulator functions.... I compared the basic Mevo+ side-by-side to the Skytrak, Trackman and GC4, and for an amateur user who is just looking for game improvement, and to have some fun, there is essentially little difference in the data you obtain. I had a simulator set-up for around 2750€ (Mevo +included) but with no projector and using only an old PC I had to hand...so there are more economic ways of getting some good practice in and having a laugh with mates!!!
When I looked at the mevo+ I don't believe the pro package was available, but can see you can now get it for 700-1000 which gives you the club data, this brings it close to the bushnell and I'm not sure it's a better unit? The reasons I didn't go for it originally were, you need much more space, you need to use the metallic dots on the balls for the best accuracy and the indoor performance didn't appear to be as good as skytrak at the time. That said if those don't affect you much it's another great unit for the price Vs the big boys.
@@danielwarren2355 Hi Dan, In my opinion the Mevo+ is a great budget unit for indoor (with 40 courses on E6 included in the purchase) and outdoor use (if you have the space indoors). The Bushnell/Foresight option is likely to perform better indoor but I believe there are subscription payments for some functionalities, something that would put me off given my budget limitations. I use the Mevo+ outdoors and I know it's fairly accurate as I have my club distances under control through the use of Arccos! Indoors, in my set up at least, it gave me less distance as it was measuring off a shorter flights. This was more notable with longer irons and woods but didn't bothered me as I was using it to sort out swing path issues. Using the metallic dots wasn't really a problem or an issue for me either.... In the end it all comes down to the depth of your pockets and what you're really looking for. I always feel Skytrak is a really good unit, with great graphics, but its data seems to be a bit more exaggerated at times with slightly looser shots. I've not used one on the range though. The Mevo+ is a good all rounder and with the addition of swing data gives you a good return on your layout. I'm sure the Foresight/Bushnell options will be a step-up but probably at another price point. Just my half-penneth 😉
Hi Gary, apologies as I am just at the beginning on my garage conversion and this video is so helpful !...I seen the dimensions were 2.8 x 3.0 m.....is that 'after' the adjustments were made to the beams ??
Hi I was wondering how the garage roof is holding up? As I. Looking to do something simular in my garage but everyone I've talked to advised me not to cut the trusses as they are load bearing. Cheers 👍
You’ve proper stitched ya mate up asking him how much he’s paid for stuff 😳 I hope his missus doesn’t get to see the vid and the ‘real’ prices 😂😂. Love the setup, grand job 👏 Keep em comin r kid 🍿
Hi Gary. Great vid. I'm a bit late to the party but is there any information on noise. Does the sound of the driver reach the neighbours? I'm thinking about one of these but wouldn't want to annoy the neighbours and may need to sound proof the garage potentially. Thanks for any help / advice.
I wish some of my neighbours were this thoughtful 🤣It’s a great point actually! I’m sure dans neighbours would have heard him, if they were out in their gardens. He’s lucky though, as his neighbour plays on it more than him, so I guess they’d talked about it👌🏼
I love you got caught up analyzing your driver 😂 It really shows once someone gets setup, lots of options other than playing courses
Yeah, I was very impressed with the optimiser function which recommended loft 👌🏼
Looks really good, although I think I would change to a short throw projector as the screen is projecting onto the golfer as well as the screen.
Yeah, good shout. I think he said, if he was to do it again, that’s what he would change.
Great vid thanks for showing us your setup Dan, looks class

You couldn’t message me on social media could you, I’ll be able to get him to message you dimensions then. Thanks
Such a interesting video, really enjoyed it Gary PS I loved u ask so many questions
Cheers Tom 👌🏼👍🏼
Great video - I was desperate for you to change the loft on the driver 😀
I wish I had now, it’s highlighted something I wasn’t aware of though. I’m going to adjust my posture and then check it again!

I would love to have my own simulator in the garage...informative video!
Thanks Bernth. Maybe start off small and build it up over the next few years if you feel like you’re using it enough.
Great video explaining ways to set up a more budget simulater, an how he would maybe do things different.
These are always good to watch 🏌️
Thanks Michael 👌🏼
What a great set up and fair play to him
Nice video! Love it. May I know which projector is it? and the screen size
Garmin can also take video of your swing and same with numbers generated. Allows your to check your positions doing swing
That’s good!
Great set up
Great subject Gaz. Thank you.

Will have to get a game on Augusta next time 😎
I’ve not deleted the footage yet, so don’t get too cocky 😂🤣
@@garymartingolf 😂
Dan, how much was it to raise the joists? I've got a small single garage and thinking of a simple conversion
Hi Gary, the dimensions were mentioned below of 3m x 2.8m.....Can I ask if the 2.8 m was after he made adjustments to the trusses ??
Great set up that love it .
Thanks for sharing.
Any advice on how to talk the missus round now please 🙏 🙂
The key is to find the right one from the off 🙈😂
@@danielwarren2355 👍 I'll put my foot down im sure that will work 🤔

Yes, it’s after. With the beams, there was only around 2 meters of height.
Love the video and I have the same dilemma I was wondering what size wood to brace the roof ??
i see why you'd have a short-throw projector. it would stop the shadows

@garymartingolf that solves it then. Invite my neighbours round to play lol. Cheers mate. 👍🏾
We have a swinging room, but it's something quite different.
😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣
What is the width of the room? thx.
What height would you need and what length of garage could you get away with
It’s quite abit
3m width
2.8m height
I'd love to know the width and height
3m wide and 2.8m high
Can you let us know the dimensions of the room and how far away you guys are hitting from the screen?
3m width
2.8m heigh
About 1.5m from the screen
Not many golf simulator rooms on council estates🤔🤣
I like to be different 😂
😂
I could not swing freely in that room.
Great video Gary very interesting I would love one of these 👌🏌♂⛳
I know, me too. I’ve got a garage I don’t use, I’d just have to have the support beams lifted 😬
