    Great video! I started playing again in January 2023 after a 33 year hiatus, and I'm totally hooked! I've been looking at building my own studio because in Scotland it's a short season, and this is inspirational! Thank you for making it!

    Thanks for posting this video. With the information I received from you, I was able to build a simulator with a Garmin R10 for $1,100.

    Get your local canvas maker, sailmsker or saddlery to put your extra grommets in. It won't cost much and will be done right

    R10 is a game changer. Its obviously not as good as the high end monitors but in terms of value, it can't be beat. Combined with GSPro, these two items should help make golf simulators more accessible and help keep costs of other monitors down.

      Absolutely! If the R10 was around when I first got a simulator it would have definitely been my choice

    Great video, love the fact you can get up and running for £1000. Although the R10 for driver is not as accurate on distance it's good on dispersion and shot flight, for irons it's great and I'm not using the putting much on the mevo plus, all looks great.

      Thanks Gary, the R10 is definitely an amazing way to get into sim golf for such a small budget! If it was around when I started i would have been buying one for sure!

    I have a very similar setup but I hit into a Spornia net instead of a screen and watch my out put on a TV. What I have found is the that the R10 is very accurate - especially when using metal dots on the ball with the latest update from Garmin. If anyone has the R10, I would also recommend getting Awesome Golf. I like it better than the Garmin practice facilities.
    by the way, love all of the "golf simulator for $x" videos that you have done lately.

      I also love the idea of using a music stand for the iPad. Absolutely brilliant!

      Yes, using a net and a TV rather than an impact screen is a great idea for people who need to keep the cost down! Especially those just starting out with a sim setup. I agree with you about Awesome Golf as well its a great bit of kit! Thanks very much for your feedback, I am glad you're enjoying this latest series of videos 🙌🏼⛳️

    Why isn't the Garmin good for drivers?

    • @hcpgolf
      @hcpgolf  ปีที่แล้ว

      I’m not 100% sure but I believe it’s something to do with spin and higher ball speeds. But even higher end launch monitors like SkyTrak and the Mevo+ are not super accurate with driver either!

    Interesting review again looked great set up for reasonable price .
    Enjoying the Garmin r10 also which think is accurate enough for me (12 handicap) .
    Do like the Awesome golf app E6 free courses cool too . 🏌🏼‍♂️

      Thanks Peter. Yes I think for the average weekend golfer the R10 is probably all you need to help with your game. Awesome golf is also very good too!
