The game of Basketball has been my passion since I was 5 years old. I grew up as a kid watching my dad's recorded VHS tapes of playoff games through the 70s and 80s, and collected all the Basketball cards. Something about the game and what it represents just hooked me from a very young age.
My love for the game only continues to grow as time goes on. I love studying and analyzing the game, with an unbiased perspective. Feel free to subscribe, follow me on social media, and celebrate this amazing game and it's rich history with me!
I post videos every week on NBA history, predictions, hypothetical scenarios and current NBA topics.

Artest is one of those borderline hall of famers, like Tom Chambers or Shawn Kemp,
due to their talent there is no doubt that they deserve to be included,
but given how their careers have gone they remain pending as eternal candidates,
    a real shame.
    However, I don't lose hope,
I remember a talent in my opinion indisputable like Dennis Johnson,
he retired in 1990 and was inducted into the HOF in 2010,
3 years after his death, a real shame that he couldn't receive this honor while alive,
he had all the credentials to be part of it
    3x NBA champion
    Finals MVP in 1979
    5x All Stars
    2x All-NBA team
    9x All-Defensive team
No. 3 retired by Boston Celtics
yet it took 20 years to be inducted,
I wish Artest the best but if he ever gets inducted into the HOF
I won't be surprised that it will be a few decades after his retirement.

Do they have to be the award winners, or just great 6th mans? Because a guy like Robert Horry never won it and I consider him one of the best 6th mans to ever play the game. Same with Andre Miller. Ginobilli and Andre Miller in the back court. Toni Kukoc at the small forward. Robert Horry at the power forward.Cliff Robinson at the Center. If it's just award winners than I switch out Horry for Mchale and Andre Miller for Lou Williams. It's a great question though.

Not a chance in hell, I will be amazingly wildly impressed if by the end of this video you can make a case for this guy. He doesn't pass the eye test, sort of like Robert horry. Just because he was a contributor to a lot of winning teams, doesn't mean he's Hall of Fame worthy.
And yes I know the guy was fantastic on the defensive end but did he dominate like Ben Wallace? Winning multiple DPOY awards. Wallace made it in because of that kind of dominance. Artest? No way

@@epicmarco514 you're making up an argument where there isn't one. The comparison is only that Robert horry was in a lot of big games and won a lot of titles. Artest had the same thing going, where whether it was the malice, different high-profile runs with different teams titles with the Lakers etcetera, he had a much higher profile than his talent and impact would deserve and indicate just like that's all. And by the way, what on Earth was Artest ever the best in the league at??!? Occasionally shutting down the best wings in the league if he put his mind to it?? My dude was never a shutdown defender. Shut down Defender is the term used for people that actually shut everybody down. He certainly had the ability when he tried but he was a head case so he didn't always try. Robert was mayyyybe the best at hitting timely game-winning playoff 3s?? Neither one is a Hall of famer but there is certainly a call for them to be from a lot of the basketball fandom out there. But if we start letting guys like that and we're turning into the Rock and roll Hall of Fame.

He was a much better player than Draymond who everyone pencils in as a sure 1st ballot HOF so he definitely deserves a nod. However, he likely won't get in due to his past. The Malice in the Palace still hangs over the NBA.
Kobe knew that since we weren't bringing back Ariza, Artest was a guaranteed that we needed to keep that defensive edge and also take defensive responsibilities away from Kobe so he could focus more on leading us on offense.
