In this video, we leave the summit and make our way down to the famous "Lake Venado". Named after "deer", this lake acts as another camp for mountaineering groups coming down from or going up to the summit of Mt. Apo. The grassy trail may seem easy at first... but can be really difficult!! Especially when there is rain! We had a lot of fun (and got really tired) making our way down to the lake.

You finally made it Kulas, your adventure that I've been waiting for. I've been there 7 times in my college days. A member of TRIMMOC (Tribung Mindanaw Mountaineering Club). Yeah! Mt. Apo the highest peak of the Philippines (10,311 ft.).

Panic would be more accurately "Lisang" (Nalisang, kalisang, gakalisang, etc.)
Another more commonly used term is the Spanish-derived "Taranta"

Lisang is Shock. Taranta would be a more precise word for Panic.
I love pork adobo with potatoes... suitable n simple to cook when d comfort of home cooking is none existence. Paired with rice ayus ung buto buto lol. Kulas d sceneries going up are just amazing... sceneries decending d mountain are awesome as well. Kulas!... another great adventure under ur belt. Yahooo!...

I think it was more difficult trekking downhill especially to the porters carrying heavy loads plus the rain, it can get so muddy. Also, the amazing "BOY TSINELAS"! In a nutshell, you did a great job Kulas!! Power on!

That lake are mystical, i've been there many times too much story to tell but the most unforgetable is i witness someone drown there...how many days before the rescuer retrieve the body,even the german diver cant hold the coldness and deepness of that lake..

Years ago I visited a coffee plantation they use covet in the coffee bean production the coffee is great they grow strawberries ons there is also a Philippine eagle residing there it’s not far from where you are it also has a small motel there great place to visit love your videos reminds me of the great memories I had travelling Mindanao in the early 90 you will remember them memories for the rest of your life I do at 71 years old

I checked the temperature at the summit of Mount Apo yesterday and it was 8°C. The summit is so beautiful and the view amazing.
