Rock never died its a 2014 song. And sing 2 has multiple genres. Rock, hard rock, metal and nu-metal. It as been huge for 50 years with thousands of amazing artists and sub genres created as a result. So I think it's unfair to say Rock was dead for awhile. I think it was you were focused on a different genre and didn't realize the scene was alive and well the entire time lol

I agree that this genre fits Halsey well, their latest album was the best, I really reccomend , it has a similar vibe to this but it has darker themes, it has a movie too. The production by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross is brilliant and Halsey storytelling is just one of my favourite things ever. Seeing you react to it would be a dream but I suggest to read some rewiews before watching the film (if you'd ever want to) cause some things are potentially triggering to some people.

I think the accent that Halsey has in this song is what makes it (for me) so incredible. I was so disappointed in the song choice for Tori Kelly that they gave her in this show(and as much as I love Pharrel he is not well matched with Tori's powerful vocals) so for me to hear Halsey blow it away like this made up for that error.
