    You have inspired me. Come spring my new life is starting. Just got rid of my vehicle yesterday. Gave it away and that felt so freeing. I'll be saving for camping gear and then saving up a good nest egg. I probably first saw your videos 4-5 years ago and it's taken this long to culminate. I love minimalism, it's a true aspect of freedom. You're great man, thanks for all the videos on both your channels - so much inspiration. I never would've imagined selling my truck let alone just giving it away. Thank you thank you thank you Tim!

    For Seasonal Work Q&A: Employee housing, what must I bring? If I'm cold at night can I get an extra blanket? If I'm hot can I get a fan? Any frig available to store a few things? Should I pack a towel? Do some places have an employee exchange or thrift store of stuff left behind? Like a jacket, or cooler, ????? Can you receive packages? Thanks Tim!

    Thank you so much, Tim! This will go on my list of work options! I've been watching your videos since your start with minimalism. I've started on that journey too! It's challenging (the purging part), but I keep focused on the prize of having peace of mind and living with less.

    Hey Tim I am going to Alaska this summer for seasonal work at a fish processing plant. I was wondering while you were up there did you run across any body who wanted someone to watch after and cafe for their property while they are gone for the winter. I don't want to come back for the winter but it's going to be too cold for rent life. Btw awesome channel man, tons of useful information . I am leaving this life behind to pursue minimalism and a life of adventure, channels like yours are sooooooo helpful thanks man!

  • @Rochalita
    @Rochalita 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Really appreciate your videos! They are really resonating with me in the place I'm at in my life right now. I love the idea of doing seasonal work instead of tethering myself long-term to just one company. How early do jobs for a particular season tend to be posted? For example, when would be the right time to start looking for summer job listings?

    Great video! Can you share what you might need to bring when you are staying in a dorm and have roommates? My 18 year old son is going to leave home for the first time and stay at Crater Lake in the dorm.. what will he need to bring? Is there a place that he can leave his things and they will be safe or do you need to bring a padlock because they supply you with a locker?

    • @TimothyWard
      @TimothyWard  ปีที่แล้ว

      Each company is different when it comes to what they supply. I would reach out to the HR department at Crater Lake and ask about lockers. I always had luggage locks for my suitcases and I would keep personal items in them and store them under the bed if possible. But I never had any issues with theft.
      As far as what to bring mainly just the things you would normally need for a trip away from home for a few months. Clothes, shoes, toiletries, etc. And then any extra items you might need for extracurricular activities.
